Hello Sabrina,

I am sorry that this is such a lame way to add a message since I usually add a hand-written letter to my gifts.
To make up for it, I added a small extra gift to your two regular gifts.

The first two should arrive very soon as they are shipped via Amazon. I live in Europe so that was the cheapest and quickest alternative for me. Thankfully, they had pretty much exactly the items that I wanted to get for you.

Now, if you are reading this and DO NOT want to spoil the surprise for the first two items, I recommend closing this message or maybe saving it for when the packages arrive after this paragraph. The third gift will be mentioned first as its estimated arrival time is end of december - mid january and it has a neat thought behind it.

So the third gift is a handcrafted bracelet. Granted, it isnt necessarily one of the neatest ones when it comes to craftmanship, but it has a very neat symbolism to it (I just really hope the place I ordered it from DO ship the right one). It contains three symbols that should all represent you as a person. 1: The birds. They represent the urge to travel and explore the world. A symbol of being free from boundries. They are also a symbol of partnership. 2: The tree. It represents the nature. I liked your anecdote about your hunting experiences and how you feel like you were just a tree in the middle of the forest. 3: The infinity. I personally find it a very soothing thought to think that every end is also a new beginning and with every chapter that we close we begin a new one. Now, I'm not a religious person but I am convinced that you don't need to be religious to find beauty in positive thoughts.

Anyways, here come the spoilers.


You should have received two items pretty early. One of them is a CD and the other one a cardboard box with a knife inside.
First regarding the CD: It's a collection of songs from The Ink Spots, a milestone artist collective who inspired a whole genre of musicians. Their music is featured in many videogames and are *the* act of the 1940s defining music. Most significantly, their music is featured in Bioshock and Fallout and thus I am convinced you could enjoy these tunes. It's pretty retro to say the least.

So here's the main gift: A Opinel No.8 walnut folding knife. I myself travel a lot and love the outdoors so it didnt take me long to think of the one thing that is the most holy to me: my opinel. Now, Opinel arent necessarily the best or sharpest knives out there but they are just very unique and simply neat. I love the feel of the full wood handle, the light weight and - this might sound weird - the smell. It is a very special knife, made in France. It is ideal to practice wood carving, so maybe go outside in the spring, collect a small piece of wood and carve yourself a nice amulet or totem that will help you on your hunt ;) I hope it will serve you well.
