  1. Ronin Although there was nothing else of note to the Assassin in these markets aside from possible contract targets, seeing as the Alchemy scene was overflowing with false promises and wrongfully earned coin, a shadow cast down from the sky swooped over him, the familiar cry of his pet Raven Belladonna rang out. Ronin's hand instinctively wrapped around the handle of his signature made Crossbow slung under the cloak at his back. It was all for naught, as whatever his companion was attempting to warn of was already upon his being. He was immediately aware it wasn't humanoid in nature, but instead a beast. Spinning around yielded little results, as the creature had clung tightly, forcing his free hand to jerk back, grabbing a handful of the creatures flesh before tossing it to the ground before him. The predatory instincts of Belladonna had kicked into full gear, before the creature could move it was pinned at the arms by gleaming talons that shimmered in the sunlight. Is that.. A monkey?
  2. Ronin He didn't quite understand what he was seeing, in a market full of some of the more sought after merchandise, rare animals were one thing, but those usually held some sort of obvious value, as this creature looked nothing more than an ample opportunity to match the shoulder spaulder Ronin was sporting of an ashen skull. Letting out a quick whistle Belladonna loosed her talons and perched at Ronin's shoulders, though if any movement was made by the beast to pounce him again it would be met with a fast flying bolt. The smooth talking individuals voice had transformed to one of a barking authority, that echoed through the marketplace and silencing many passersby "Who owns this cretin? Speak up before I decide to keep it as a mount for my mantle, or feed it to my Raven!" He threatened, index finger tightening around the trigger as his cross hairs leveled square between the beasts eyes. Belladonna outstretching her wingspan and loosing a few more deathly caws in the direction of the monkey.

  4. Saani Annoyance with her blue-furred companion was soon eclipsed by an all-consuming need to protect him, her hands already moving to handle of her bow, fingertips closing in on the feather-tip of one of her arrows. The design of her weaponry was simple, birthed into fruition from the forest itself, made of wood and woven together twine by the elders so that it may appear lacking to others. In reality though, Saani knew how to handle it well and she was a damn good shot. She wasn’t all to please for confrontation at that moment; however, her main concern went into protection Ayrie. She nocked the arrow into the string of her bow, her speed quickening with the borrowed stimulant of adrenaline. The stranger would only have a second to stare down at the monkey before Saani dashed in front of him, crouching slightly as her right arm shifted backwards so that the arrow’s shaft whispered against her face while she aimed the tip directly at the man. -c-
  5. Saani Ayrie jumped back onto his feet, volleying back screeches towards the ugly bird perched on the masked man’s shoulder. “He means no harm. What special kind of coward are you that you’d kill a monkey but let a thieving man like that live,” she sharply stated, recalling the event that had only recently played out between the stranger and the seller. Saani knew she most likely wouldn’t win a drawn out lock with the man, given her weaponry required her entire muscle focus and upper body strength while his machinery looked to be mainly supported by itself. But that didn’t matter, Saani wouldn’t let him harm either her or Ayrie. -END-
  6. Anduil Y'all are pretty literate.. This site is more impressive than I thought.)
  7. Saani wait till you see the My Little Pony room, we're nothing compared to them. }
  8. Anduil I shudder to think of it.)
  9. Ronin His silver optics narrowed at the cretin, though were soon locked with that of an elf. A tiny one at that, to which his crossbow was immediately raised, Ronin was a killer of high value targets, nobles, kings, and lords. This little girl wasn't worth the miniscule amount of energy it'd take to put more pressure on the trigger of his crossbow. Slinging the weapon around to his back again, snapping his fingers to silence the screeching of his pet, Belladonna. "You ought to train that thing better, I'd be willing to wager a majority of the crowd in this place wouldn't have even blinked at the thought of snapping that little beasts neck." He mused, gaze resting on the tip of the arrow nocked and aimed square at him. "It would be within your best interest to put that away." He showed no fear, or even nervousness in those half-lidded eyes of his. A fate worse than an eternity of torment would be to fall at the hands of some child who'd wandered in with her pet. "I wouldn't mind an apology,
  10. Ronin after all it wasn't I who instigated this occurrence, as for that cheating merchant, he paid his dues, and did not bother to do as your beast did and lay his paws upon my person" His tone was muffled through the cloth that masked his visage, but it's smooth and confident nature gave notice that he felt in control of the situation, which was often the case. A hand drifting back and brushing off his cloak to do away with any shedding the little girl's monkey might have left behind. Arms folded across his chest awaiting her response, brow cocked at the nerve of her to threaten him for what could have been easily dismissed as self defense against a wild animal. His Raven which had long ceased her threatening brays had matched the owner's demeanor, relaxing, and occasionally cocking her head about to keep on a lookout for any other potential things that might make a pass at her master. -e-
  11. Ronin She's right, you know. MLP puts the lot of us to shame. ))
  12. Anduil Pity it's about MLP.... Not bashing the fandom but I think their talents are wasted.)
  13. Saani Her gaze was meticulous on the man’s every move, his disdain for keeping his weaponry trained on her did little to ease her suspicions that he might still place harm on Ayrie. She held command of her arrow so that it continued staring directly into the masked face of the stranger. “I don’t speak apologies unless I see fit, my poor Ayrie simply was curious about that thing you stashed so quickly onto your person. He’s a cheeky thing, truthfully, but he wasn’t looking to steal it either.” She noted the crossing of his arms, a small ounce of suspicion wearing down. If he intended anything, he would have done it by now. Although Saani had half a mind to raise her arrow just a bit upwards and to the left in the hopes of taking out that noisy bird of his. But once the thing quiet down the blue-furred monkey became noticeably quiet, simply twirling his tail about in the air as if he hadn’t caused this situation. -c-
  14. Saani Perhaps Saani did owe the man some apology, but she would be hard-pressed to give it at that moment. Lowering her bow, the elf girl straightened her gaze fixed hard on the stranger’s mask. “What’s with the getup anyways? Did the Gods give you an especially unfavorable face beneath that mask of yours?” came her easy taunt, meant to provoke in the slightest manner and draw attention away from Ayrie. She might’ve assumed most all men in the New World wore such masks had she not glanced around the market and note most kept their faces out on display.
  15. Ronin "What I bought is my property, and no business of some blue monkey." He stated, unimpressed with the uncreative remark regarding his face. In silent response the male grasped the mask and pulled it down, once again giving way to otherwise refined features that were clashed upon by that of a massive scar that stretched across his face. Those who were still watching the encounter avoided to meet the gaze of the man at the sight of his scar, looking around for anyone to even attempt at a passing remark, though none of the inhabitants of the market were strangers to scars, the contrast against his otherwise smooth skin and elven features seemed to put out an air of uneasiness, paired with the piercing silver optics. "The Gods graced me with many things, but this was put upon me by that of a man." He remarked bluntly, quickly masking his visage again. Ronin wasn't wanted, afterall, if you were a famous Assassin, you were doing something wrong. He simply disliked the feature that broke him
  16. Ronin apart from others, unique armor and weaponry was one thing, but that scar was not something easily or painlessly replicated. "In place of apologies you've offered insults, you're starting to make me regret not fileting that monkey of yours and using him for a small rug, or perhaps another nice shoulder piece." He speculated, head turning slightly towards his right shoulder who's spaulder was clad in that of a skull sprouting horns "Or perhaps I could use him in my alchemy? The powdered bones of a monkey." Feeling no reason to stay amongst this crowd and continue making a scene, he took a large stride past the girl, Belladonna rocketing into the sky to keep vantage over their surroundings. Those who heard or saw the argument parted like a river against stone in Ronin's path, even the larger packs of mercenaries moved to the side, as although his features had once again been covered, the emotion behind his eyes festered in anger, coupled with just how fast his weapon had been drawn and
  17. Ronin aimed at the creature in the previous incident, it was clear to those who witnessed it that The Assassin was not one to be trifled with.-e-
