  59. 1. INTRODUCTION [INT00]
  60. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
  61.
  62. -Characters- [INT01]
  63. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
  64.
  65. o=o=o
  66. Leon
  67. o=o=o
  68.
  69. The main playable character of the game. Is some type of bird, fat and round, with a long beak, but no visible wings, instead has two long arms. Tends to
  70.
  71. have a straightforward approach to life. Enjoys sleeping in. Sits down to pee. Does not know how to use a sword.
  72.
  73. o=o=o=o
  74. Mairead
  75. o=o=o=o
  76.
  77. Leon's boss, a real hard ass, but deep down she cares for her employees. Is some type of bunny, with big floppy ears. Somehow has obtained and knows how to
  78.
  79. operate a mech suit. Joins your party for the final boss fight.
  80.
  81. o=o
  82. Cat
  83. o=o
  84.
  85. Leon's pet cat. Small and black, likes to be pet, but not too much. Not playable as a character as of this writing - may be available in future DLC.
  86.
  87. ~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+
  88.
  89. -Basic Gameplay Mechanics- [INT02]
  90. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
  91.
  92. At each screen, you will be offered 1-3 decisions, which will allow you to navigate through the game, progressing to different rooms or deciding whether to
  93.
  94. battle enemies. To choose a path, click on the username, bringing you to a subsequent screen. You can return to the previous screen by pressing the back
  95.
  96. button on your console, or the appropriate hotkey (default is Backspace). To save your progress, click the small heart at the bottom of the screen. You can
  97.
  98. access your save points through the main menu, under "Likes".
  99.
  100. ~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+
  101.
  102. -Battle Mechanics- [INT03]
  103. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
  104.
  105. The battles are turn-based. You'll notice on each battle screen a few metrics and bars. First is your HP, or your hit points. If these are reduced to 0,
  106.
  107. your character will die. Second is the Limit bar - this does not seem to do anything, but may be relevant in future expansions. During battle, you have one
  108.
  109. of three options:
  110.
  111. - Attack: Attack an enemy with your equipped weapon
  112. - Item: Use an item from your inventory
  113. - Run: Flee from battle
  114.
  115. For most battles, it is recommended you run, at least until you obtain some of the more powerful items later in the game.
  116.
  117. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-
  118. 2. WALKTHROUGH [WKT00]
  119. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-
  120.
  121. What follows is the recommended full clear run of the game. There is an option from the beginning to skip the first run and the secret message, though it is
  122.
  123. recommended for the best player experience to complete the full run.
  124.
  125. --------------------------------------------
  126. (~INTRODUCTION~) [WKT01]
  127. --------------------------------------------
  128.
  129. ------
  130. /BACKSTORY\
  131. ====================================================================
  132. ITEMS:
  133. NONE
  134. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
  135.
  136. The first screens give a little background on the story, telling us about an evil wizard, a bird knight, and his mythical frog mount from the past. You can
  137.
  138. click quickly through these - there is no option to skip, but when you restart the game, you won't have to go through these again.
  139.
  140. --------------------------------------------
  141. (~YOUR HOUSE~) [WKT02]
  142. --------------------------------------------
  143.
  144. ------
  145. /BEDROOM\
  146. ====================================================================
  147. ITEMS:
  148. SWORD
  149. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
  150.
  151. You wake up in your bedroom. There are a few options - you can pet the cat, go to the bathroom, or open the treasure chest. Pet the cat once or twice, then
  152.
  153. check out the bathroom. If you go pee, make sure you sit down. When you're satisfied, open the chest. It will contain a sword. You don't know how to use
  154.
  155. this yet, so answer your phone instead of playing with it. From there, enjoy the short cutscene, and move to the next part of the walkthrough.
  156.
  157. --------------------------------------------
  158. (~COMMUTING TO WORK~) [WKT03]
  159. --------------------------------------------
  160.
  161. ------
  162. /SUBWAY\
  163. ====================================================================
  164. ITEMS:
  165. NONE
  166. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
  167.
  168. After taking the phone call, you get to choose which way to get to work. It doesn't matter which way you take - either one will lead you to the same
  169.
  170. destination. If you choose the subway, you'll encounter your first pack of enemies, a group of Turtle Teens. Don't bother battling them, but if you do, make
  171.
  172. sure you don't attack. You still don't know how to use the sword, so it will end poorly. Just run away and proceed to WKT04.
  173.
  174. ------
  175. /BIKE PATH\
  176. ====================================================================
  177. ITEMS:
  178. NONE
  179. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
  180.
  181. If you chose to take your bike to work, instead of running into the Turtle Teens, you'll encounter a different mob, a Pig Biker Gang. Similar to the
  182.
  183. turtles, you don't have to battle them. If you do, make sure you don't attack. You'll have to restart or go back. Run away and continue to the next section.
  184.
  185. --------------------------------------------
  186. (~AT THE OFFICE~) [WKT04]
  187. --------------------------------------------
  188.
  189. ------
  190. /LOBBY\
  191. ====================================================================
  192. ITEMS:
  193. NONE
  194. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
  195.
  196. You now find yourself in the lobby. There are two options here - it doesn't matter which one you take, though if you take the elevators, you can run back to
  197.
  198. the stairs.
  199.
  200. ------
  201. /ELEVATOR\
  202. ====================================================================
  203. ITEMS:
  204. NONE
  205. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
  206.
  207. If you take the elevator, you'll encounter your first Cursed Monster. This one is shackled to the ceiling of a room. Unfortunately at this point, there is
  208.
  209. nothing you can do to help it - just run away, and continue to WKT05.
  210.
  211. ++++++++++++
  212. GLITCH ALERT
  213. ++++++++++++
  214.
  215. When you meet the Cursed Monster after taking the elevator you'll notice there are two screens showing the same image - this is a known glitch that shipped
  216.
  217. with the original run of the game.
  218.
  219. ------
  220. /STAIRS\
  221. ====================================================================
  222. ITEMS:
  223. NONE
  224. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
  225.
  226. If you take the stairs, you'll encounter another Cursed Monster. This one is just its head, rolling around on top of an operating table. You can't kill it
  227.
  228. or help it until you unlock more powerful items later on. Run away, and continue to the next section.
  229.
  230. --------------------------------------------
  231. (~FINAL BOSS (FIRST RUN)~) [WKT05]
  232. --------------------------------------------
  233.
  234. ------
  235. /44TH FLOOR\
  236. ====================================================================
  237. ITEMS:
  238. NONE
  239. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
  240.
  241. Not much to do here, except ONE VERY IMPORTANT THING. Make sure to knock Tod's bobblehead off his desk - this will have an important effect later in the
  242.
  243. game. Follow Mairead's voice and continue to the final boss.
  244.
  245. ------
  246. /EVIL WIZARD\
  247. ====================================================================
  248. ITEMS:
  249. NONE
  250. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
  251.
  252. Unfortunately, you still don't know how to use your sword, you don't have any items, and you can't run from this fight. However, if you knocked over Tod's
  253.
  254. bobblehead in the previous section, Mairead's robot suit will have enough power to one-hit KO the Baseball Bot, letting you at least reach the Evil Wizard.
  255.
  256. He'll kill you and escape, but not before dropping a secret note. Read the note (3x cat, 1x toilet = 1 frog), which I'll explain in a second. Start over
  257.
  258. from your bedroom.
  259.
  260. --------------------------------------------
  261. (~YOUR HOME (SECOND RUN)~) [WKT06]
  262. --------------------------------------------
  263.
  264. ------
  265. /BEDROOM\
  266. ====================================================================
  267. ITEMS:
  268. FROG GUMMIES
  269. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
  270.
  271. This time, do exactly this set of decisions: pet the cat three times, then go to the bathroom. If you've done it correctly, the cat will follow you into the
  272.
  273. bathroom and give you a pack of Frog Gummies. This is an extremely powerful item that will help you defeat every enemy in the game if used correctly. Don't
  274.
  275. forget to sit on the toilet to pee.
  276.
  277. --------------------------------------------
  278. (~COMMUTING TO WORK (SECOND RUN)~) [WKT07]
  279. --------------------------------------------
  280.
  281. ------
  282. /SUBWAY\
  283. ====================================================================
  284. ITEMS:
  285. NONE
  286. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
  287.
  288. Continue to either the Subway or the Bike Path. If you pick the Subway, you can still run away to progress, but now with the Frog Gummies, you can use them
  289.
  290. during battle, which causes the Turtle Teens to respect you. Continue to the office.
  291.
  292. ------
  293. /BIKE PATH\
  294. ====================================================================
  295. ITEMS:
  296. NONE
  297. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
  298.
  299. If you pick the Bike Path, the outcome is similar to the Subway - run away, or during battle, use the Frog Gummies. You'll get a nice little cutscene, where
  300.
  301. the Pig Bike Gang offers you a ride on their motorcycle.
  302.
  303. --------------------------------------------
  304. (~AT THE OFFICE (SECOND RUN)~) [WKT08]
  305. --------------------------------------------
  306.
  307. ------
  308. /ELEVATOR/STAIRS\
  309. ====================================================================
  310. ITEMS:
  311. NONE
  312. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
  313.
  314. Continue from the Lobby to either the Elevator or the Stairs - this time, you can offer the Frog Gummies to the Cursed Monsters, which will turn them back
  315.
  316. into animals. The Cursed Monster shackled past the elevator turns into a duck, while the Cursed Monster head by the Stairs turns into a dog. Run away and
  317.
  318. make your way up to the 44th floor.
  319.
  320. --------------------------------------------
  321. (~FINAL BOSS (SECOND RUN)~) [WKT09]
  322. --------------------------------------------
  323.
  324. ------
  325. /44TH FLOOR\
  326. ====================================================================
  327. ITEMS:
  328. NONE
  329. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
  330.
  331. Again, THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT! Make sure to knock Tod's bobblehead onto the floor. Otherwise, the Baseball Bot won't be weakened before the fight, and will
  332.
  333. be able to smash you with its bat before you reach the Evil Wizard. Continue to the final boss.
  334.
  335. ------
  336. /EVIL WIZARD\
  337. ====================================================================
  338. ITEMS:
  339. NONE
  340. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
  341.
  342. This fight is a lot easier with the Frog Gummies. Use your last Frog Gummy, which will turn into the mythical Frog Mount. As long as you made sure to knock
  343.
  344. Tod's bobblehead onto the floor, you'll be able to reach the Evil Wizard in a few leaps and crush him under the Frog Mount. Congratulations! You can now
  345.
  346. view the bonus credits at your mom's house (I hope it looks familiar!)
