You're now chatting with a random stranger. Say hi! Omegle couldn't find anyone who shares interests with you, so this stranger is completely random. Try adding more interests! You: The tropical cone snail is known for both its colourfully vibrant shell and dangerous venom. This carnivore (marine snail) hunts, kills and dines on fish through the injection of venom with a hollow, harpoon-like part of its mouth. This results in immediate paralysis. The injection is so potent that with just a single injection, unaware scuba divers have been known to die due to its potent venom. What makes this cone snail venom so fast acting and lethal? Stranger: ..........................I'm not so sure....But I think I know this one... You: Alright, let's hear it. Stranger: Alright, the tropical cone snail is a vibrantly colored snail correct? Well in most cases like this, it has to effect the neurons in the body in some way.........Hmm...I could be incorrect. Either that or it's just 'cause that snail is pretty darn cool. You: You're pretty close. The answer to this question is a mixture of molecules that disable neurons, which are nerve cells that transfer information within the body. Since the venom virtually disrupts neuronal control of vital functions, such as locomotion and respiration, an animal that’s attacked by the cone snail can neither defend itself nor escape. Stranger: Oooo, that's pretty interesting! I didn't know about that part. I just remembered something about neurons. You: Yes, pop-science documentary style television is always helpful to know tidbit pieces of information such as this. You: Say, are you interested in science, biology, physics, or anything of the like? Stranger: Haha, yea, I am to be a vet. when I'm older, (right now I'm 14) so stuff like that really interests me...Well, anything about animals interest me. You: Hm I see, did you have an inspiring past parent or someone you knew that was a vet? Stranger: Actually, no, I'd be the only person in both families aiming to be a vet. I've just been around animals since I was little, and I hated it when they got hurt, so I always wanted to help a bunch in some way. When I was little I had found a bird with a broken wing, we decided to take care of it until it healed, so we took it to the vet. And the vet let me help out. Since then I've always been interested in that field. You: An interesting story indeed. I have yet to find such a passion, but to know somewhere, somehow, on this planet, there is a fruitful 14-year old youth who is aspiring for such an occupation is honourable indeed. Say, how did you fair to come to such a website in the first place, given the low likelihood of having a sustained conversation? Stranger: Haha, thank you! Well, I was bored one day and I didn't feel like studying, so I searched in Google, "Websites for when you are bored." And this popped up. So I decided to try it. I've actually had a few lovely conversations on this with some very lovely people. You: I see, well it is quite the rare oddity to be able to even talk to anyone conceivable of worthiness in the first place. Anyhow, I am a 17-year old student planning on pharmaceutical studies, a minor or two in humanities perhaps. In any case, in this modern day and age, what else occupies most of your time with the exception of attending to easing your boredom with chat sites such as these? Stranger: Well, most of the time I'm outside either sketching or riding my horses. I really enjoy sketching whatever I find out in the forest or trails of my area. So, most of my time is consumed by that. But since today it was raining, and it was night right now. I decided to go here. But if I don't have anything else, I do also play basketball, and volleyball. And I am on this acting program called Destination Imagination which we just got 1st place for Regional's for. And if you don't mind me asking, how come someone with such a large vocabulary and intellect like yours is on this site? You: The answer to that of which, is that I had for the most part of my life been subdued to unfortunate circumstances in which I lack social acquisitive skills, rather I perform tad-poorly with people in age groups that are similar to mines, but of to the extent of local proximity. No, there was no bullying, I can acquaint with people and associate with them on an often so-per rarity case, but the internet is a useful medium for establishing intellectual stimulation, of which I appealed to the idea of just happening to visit this site today to speak to other people. Of course, I also post on other forums, and I host my personal blog, but I'm often a thought-person, one to be meddling in the head, primarily to speak. Stranger: I understand how you feel completely. And thank god that there is a person out there who uses a vocabulary that I understand entirely all to well and commonly use in conversations when I'm explaining things to my friends. The internet happens to be like a getaway from the real world to a fantasy world where you can be who you want, and what you want. It's almost much easier than reality itself, so I wouldn't be surprised if some other people in situations like yours also come online often. I do when I don't feel like doing anything else. You: You see, I'd like to subscribe to the notion, of human beings, as of which, devoid of any elicitation of inference from appearance or social notation, of course that is of the very essence of being human in the first place. But if I was offered telepathy as a means of communication, and it was the primary methodology in which the world is as a state of fact, with the implication of allowing ourselves the autonomy to shut off to other people's thoughts at will, and whatnot, I would have done so from the very start. In this reasoning, irrespective of age group, of race, of social construct, only the greatest or possibly most optimal ideas would evolve from the start, and the rest would remain subordinate. Stranger: That is pretty true. I'm not so sure how to respond to that however, and can't help but smile. Although, I do agree with that notion of yours. You: Perhaps a star-trekian utopian would be ideal. No furnished worries over the depletion of specific resources, the monopolization of capital, or the profit-necessitation of individuals with respect to each other. But dreams such as these falter, in practicality, we are not even close to having autonomous entities such as capable machines to do subordinate work, because subordinate work is a means of having excess, and having to any extent of excess, is almost fundamentally attributed to not only evolutionary psychology, but the subjugation of will by men, exclusive and with holding any exceptions by which and large entail a polarization of the state or government to fracture. Stranger: Hmmm....It probably would. If the world was like that from the very beginning-well...When our technology advanced and scientific discoveries were made, wouldn't we have things more stable instead?
