  4. A few days ago, I was approached via the intertubes by a client seeking documentation on the user who ran the page "Amabo Kcorb" -
  5. it was interesting, to say the least, because I had never came across a situation that involved gathering information on someone who ran a Facebook Page. That kind of documentation is rather difficult to acquire, since Facebook does a rather good job of protecting the usernames of who run the pages.
  6. To make it a bit simpler, I was provided with two leads -
  7. An IP address routing to 108.64.34.215
  8. and the Phone Number, 773-844-3996

  10. ============Networking=============

  12. First things first. A quick tracert command revealed that the IP address in particular spat out in Glendale Heights, Illinois. However, upon further examination, the default gateway was a Cellphone Tower.
  13. Well, it was a start. A quick run of the Phone Number showed that this documentation was addressed in Chicago-area.
  14. Given that it was a cellphone tower, I scrapped the IP address for all it was worth (nothing) and persued the telephone number.

  16. After a few phone calls and some string pulling, the name Marco Reyes appeared. A quick Google-fu showed indications that this person was the target we were looking for.

  18. And that was just the easy part.

  20. ========Social Engineering==========

  22. After several hours of sifting, a bit of Social Engineering here and there, and a few details from some contacts, I had determined that the target's girlfriend went by the name "Ashlee" whom was based out of Washington, and that the target went to an all-boys preperatory school in Chicago.
  23. But, he was clever. There was no clear attachment to any account that could be found in sight. No relationships, no real information, or anything.

  25. Several more hours were spent digging through links given by another contact. At first glance, there was nothing of real value. Most of them were blocked to outsiders, and preperations were being made to Engineer into the profiles of them to ascertain more details that could lead to the details being searched for...
  26. But then, it caught my eye.

  30. One of the pages, Cecilia Murillo, had both Marco Reyes as a friend, and another person, Jorge Reyes.
  31. Now, Jorge Reyes has a very particular note at the bottom of his page. A black silloutte in the Family section marked "Marco Reyes" as a son. He is also married to the woman, Cecilia Murillo (if you can trust a Facebook relationship status as far as you can throw it).

  33. My heart skipped a beat for a brief moment as I dug through the unguarded, public Facebook profile. From which I assertained enough details in order to run with.
  34. His father worked at NWS Architects, Inc. in Chicago, Illinois. He also went to a particular private preperatory school that was an all-boys religious campus.

  36. Given the directives of the Documentation request, this is where my journey would end. Without further Engineering involving actual contact with the target, nothing could be done. And to top it all off, it's against my code of ethics - for personal safety and the fact that my mother raised me better than to call strangers. However, the documentation provided should provide a platform for the requested intent, and perhaps a further Social Engineering campaign on a more personal level.
