  1. your sex is the body you were born with (eg: biological male, female or intersex)
  2. you can't change that, but it does not necessarily correlate with your gender
  3. _______________________________________________________________________________________
  4.
  5. your gender is what you choose to identify as
  6. for example, if you have a male body but you identify as a female, then you're a female
  7. that's all there is to it
  8. you don't need to broadcast this to the whole world; just tell them your preferred pronouns and be done with it
  9. if you want equality, why are you making up more and more labels for yourselves?:stare:
  10. _______________________________________________________________________________________
  11.
  12. transsexual vs transgender
  13. if your biological body does not match your gender, then you're transgender
  14. if you have medical procedures to essentially 'change sex', you are transsexual, as you have attempted to change your sex
  15. you're still transgender nonetheless, just transsexual is the name biologically
  16. _______________________________________________________________________________________
  17.
  18. should young children be taught this at school?
  19. i think rather than at school, each child should be brought up to be accepting of each other, without all these labels we have nowadays
  20. school can support this fact
  21. even though gender dysphoria is more common than you think, in children, it can well and truly be a 'phase'
  22. kids go through these things of questioning their gender; it's standard
  23. however, if it goes on for a prolonged amount of time, that's when you should talk to them and a doctor to discuss your options
  24. _______________________________________________________________________________________
  25.
  26. everyone should be accepted
  27. take away labels if you want equality so badly
  28. but since you poor special snowflakes need to grip onto an identity so much, you need to label yourself as much as possible!!
  29.
  30. we aren't going to get anywhere like this
  31. we need to be accepting and acceptance and respect is so much better than it used to be
  32. however, you don't have to be 'transgender' in order to empathise and accept others
  33. equality is empathy, yet empathy is not necessarily going through the same thing
  34.
  35. be respectful and accepting towards everyone
  36. get rid of the labels and be equal
  37. that's the only way you're gonna get to a happy place for everyone
  38. _______________________________________________________________________________________
  39.
  40. instead of being a transgender female, you're female
  41. instead of being in the lgbtqia+ community, you're the same as everyone else and still equally accepted
  42. instead of labelling everything under the sun, we're all the same and should therefore be treated equally:shrug:
  43.
  44. this is becoming a fucking stupid 'trend'
  45. you're not being respectful or accepting of others who truly go through these things on a daily basis by faking it
  46. you're not as unique as you think you are, special snowflake, and that's perfectly okay
  47. just be yourself, with no labels
