- your sex is the body you were born with (eg: biological male, female or intersex)
- you can't change that, but it does not necessarily correlate with your gender
- _______________________________________________________________________________________
- your gender is what you choose to identify as
- for example, if you have a male body but you identify as a female, then you're a female
- that's all there is to it
- you don't need to broadcast this to the whole world; just tell them your preferred pronouns and be done with it
- if you want equality, why are you making up more and more labels for yourselves?:stare:
- _______________________________________________________________________________________
- transsexual vs transgender
- if your biological body does not match your gender, then you're transgender
- if you have medical procedures to essentially 'change sex', you are transsexual, as you have attempted to change your sex
- you're still transgender nonetheless, just transsexual is the name biologically

- should young children be taught this at school?
- i think rather than at school, each child should be brought up to be accepting of each other, without all these labels we have nowadays
- school can support this fact
- even though gender dysphoria is more common than you think, in children, it can well and truly be a 'phase'
- kids go through these things of questioning their gender; it's standard
- however, if it goes on for a prolonged amount of time, that's when you should talk to them and a doctor to discuss your options
- _______________________________________________________________________________________
- everyone should be accepted
- take away labels if you want equality so badly
- but since you poor special snowflakes need to grip onto an identity so much, you need to label yourself as much as possible!!
- we aren't going to get anywhere like this
- we need to be accepting and acceptance and respect is so much better than it used to be
- however, you don't have to be 'transgender' in order to empathise and accept others
- equality is empathy, yet empathy is not necessarily going through the same thing
- be respectful and accepting towards everyone
- get rid of the labels and be equal
- that's the only way you're gonna get to a happy place for everyone
- _______________________________________________________________________________________
- instead of being a transgender female, you're female
- instead of being in the lgbtqia+ community, you're the same as everyone else and still equally accepted
- instead of labelling everything under the sun, we're all the same and should therefore be treated equally:shrug:
- this is becoming a fucking stupid 'trend'
- you're not being respectful or accepting of others who truly go through these things on a daily basis by faking it
- you're not as unique as you think you are, special snowflake, and that's perfectly okay
- just be yourself, with no labels
