- [19:53] <AnorZaken> so yeah... anyway... how much of the bukkitdev and site-mod staff actually remains? Homepage/community related personel - I'm obviously getting at: is the community part and submission part still running - or dead? :x
- [19:54] <AnorZaken> (is it still a platform to release plugins on - or has it turned into an archive)
- [19:57] <Dabo> AnorZaken, I don't think anyone is dealing with file submissions or project submissions anymore

- [19:59] <mbaxter> AnorZaken: According to Curse staff they are not currently processing files
- [20:00] <AnorZaken> ok :( thanks for the info mbaxter!
- [20:00] <mbaxter> They say they won't process anything until new tools are developed for it. Apparently the tools they provided to us for years, that we wanted improvement on but never got, aren't good enough for their own team and now they're finally improving.
- [20:00] <AnorZaken> looool
- [20:00] <mbaxter> So... factoring in past experiences with curse... let's see
- [20:00] <mbaxter> We got BukkitDev in 2011
- [20:00] <mbaxter> We were promised improvements
- [20:00] <mbaxter> It's currently 2014, without those improvements.

- [20:42] <AdamQpzm> Batman isn't evil
- [20:42] <AnorZaken> Batman owl!
- [20:42] <Chunkr> mbaxter, yeah.. pex :/
- [20:42] * AnorZaken loves owls!
- [20:42] <AdamQpzm> So... EvilSeph = Owlman? :P
- [20:42] <AnorZaken> or... batowl? ^^
- [20:43] <EvilSeph> the other alternative was to not say anything and disappear, which was not acceptable for me. I felt a responsibility to explain things to the community, hence the letter that was censored/removed/whatever.
- [20:43] <Kantorh> EvilSeph is the hero minecraft deserves, but not the one it needs.
- [20:43] <AnorZaken> hmm... are u sure thats not the other way around?
- [20:43] <EvilSeph> since then, there's been a lot of one sided information and misinformation spreading but I and others have been keeping quiet because once the air gets litigious, you keep quiet.
- [20:43] <AdamQpzm> EvilSeph, You could have taken the Mojang PR method™ and made a controversial & ambiguous statement and then no further communication
- [20:44] <Kantorh> I always wondered that, but I'm not in a place to argue with Gordon.
- [20:44] <drtshock> AdamQpzm: yeah but EvilSeph rarely tweets.
- [20:44] <AdamQpzm> drtshock, Good point :P
- [20:44] == proxa has changed nick to alureon
- [20:44] <drtshock> he would've had to have all of his staff tweet contradicting statements.
- [20:45] <Kantorh> some of which were mildly insulting.
- [20:45] <Chunkr> EvilSeph, any idea what will happen next? Since mojang has now claimed ownership over the project, and most staff is now retired, or at #sponge?
- [20:45] <Jpnock> ^
- [20:45] <drtshock> lol only mildly
- [20:45] <AdamQpzm> drtshock, And snide ones, don't forget the snide.
- [20:45] <Kantorh> Ah, yes.
- [20:46] <slipcor> am I the only one laughing about people saying "the staff is there" ? there are doubles the people than here, what is the chance that the whole staff is not in there?
- [20:46] <slipcor> anyone do the calculations xD

- [20:46] <CaptainBern> ew
- [20:47] <AKP> ^
- [20:47] <AdamQpzm> I'd love to give a (former) staff member's view on Mojang's "no minecraft in craftbukkit" statement
- [20:47] <AdamQpzm> s/give/get/
- [20:47] <EvilSeph> eh...that's not wise for any of us to comment on.
- [20:47] <CaptainBern> ES: awww
- [20:47] <CaptainBern> But daaad...
- [20:47] <AdamQpzm> Aww (you should totally pm me!) :P
- [20:47] <AnorZaken> so I've been so content with the bukkit platform... anyone care to recommend some other platform for distribution to the userbase (perspective of a plugin dev)
- [20:48] <Kantorh> "There is no taco in burrito." - This has been a psa brought to you by yours truly.

- [20:48] <AdamQpzm> EvilSeph, Surely damage is done by this point?
- [20:48] <CaptainBern> Alureon: It's defnitely worth it, gives you a great insight into how bukkit worked internally
- [20:49] <AnorZaken> when an era ends... you reveal the magic sauce..? :P
- [20:50] <EvilSeph> AdamQpzm: when you're in our shoes where anything you say can increase the risk, you can then decide if you want to speak on topics that are..risky :)
- [20:50] <Chunkr> alureon, got a link?
- [20:51] <alureon> Chunkr: it's the one in the topic
- [20:51] <Chunkr> oh ah
- [20:51] <alureon> well, everybody's 'statements' are there
- [20:52] <AdamQpzm> EvilSeph, Understandable, I'll leave it alone now then. :)
