  1. You haven't been sleeping well lately.
  2.
  3. This night is particularly bad; you have lots of strange, worrying series of increasingly violent dreams.
  4.
  5. The first dream is the shortest, and not too far from normal. You only remember a snippet of it; your hands cupping Rurun's flushed face a few inches in front of you, the sound of your mingled breaths as your bodies move in rhythm, hers atop yours.
  6.
  7. You don't remember the transition, but next thing you recall is standing amidst a field of bodies beneath a blood-red sky. A deep powerful voice echoes across the landscape, but you don't know where it's coming from. Corpulent abominations fly in lazy circles above high you, blood and ichor falling like rain as they gnaw on the bodies of their still-wailing victims.
  8.
  9. In the third dream, you're in the Guild House, though it looks much different. There's five stone altars in a circle around you; on each altar is a naked and bound sacrifice. The young men and women on the stone slabs don't protest as you calmly slit their throats, efficiently draining their blood onto the sigils in the center of the room. Creatures begin to crawl their way out of the sigil, and you hear a deep voice of approval. "You'll survive," you hear it say gently within your head, though the actual words are unknown to you, and sound brutish and mean.
  10.
  11. The fourth dream is perhaps the most viscerally upsetting; you're trapped at the bottom of a dry well, along with a bloated human corpse. The smell is sickening, as is the cloud of flies, which begin to sting you, until maggots begin to crawl out of your flesh. You shred your fingers to bloody ruins trying to climb up the side of the well, but to no avail, and the worst part of all is the thirst. So thirsty.
  12.
  13. In the fifth dream you recall, you're in a dark rocky jungle. You can see despite the darkness, everything seemingly glowing with a blue radiance. You're running after prey, moving with deadly grace; you jump easily over fallen logs, dart under branches, and swerve to avoid debris. Your prey has no such skills; she constantly trips and falls, and scratches herself against the trees and thorn bushes. When she falls and you see she's not going to get up again - her ankle is broken - you finally close in, tired of the chase. She screams as she hears you crash through the underbrush, and cries, and begs. You don't listen - you hardly understand her words. You simply jump on her with violent glee, tearing her clothes off, and shove her knees to her chest. You thrust yourself into her, grabbing her throat as you brutalize her in a fit of frenzied rutting.
  14.
  15. The last dream is a return to the second. You look up into the sky and witness the sun burst open like a hatching egg. Outlined in the explosive radiance is a semi-humanoid form, grand and terrible, growing increasingly bigger as it speeds toward you. You remember you begin to screm as its form begins clearer, panic consuming you even more than the flames that seem to have risen up around you.
  16.
  17. With that, you wake up with a start, but thankfully not a scream. You find yourself in a cold sweat as your mind reels over your recollection of the dreams you just had. You can't help but notice you're hard, and your underwear feels wet. It's still dark, and you can hear Aren's breathing across the room
