  1. >You walk up to the front door after a long day at work.
  2. >Shit was not cash at all...
  3. >You dig through your pockets for a key to open the door.
  4. >...
  5. >Nothing.
  6. >Well, at least there's the key under the ma-
  7. >"Just give the date a try, Speck!"
  8. >"I don't really think a blind date's a good idea, Echo..."
  9. >You grab the key and unlock the door to see Echo and another bat pony.
  10. >The second mare is staring at you with eyes that are as big as her head.
  11. >It makes sense, considering that your the only one of your species here.
  12. >Her hoof is slowly raising and points at you.
  13. >"E-Echo...what is that?"
  14. >"Oh, that's my roommate, Anon!"
  15. >Echo grabs the mare and nudges her towards you.
  16. >"Anon, this is my friend, Speck."
  17. >You raise your hand towards her and smile.
  18. Nice to meet you, Speck.
  19. >She nods and touches the tips of your fingers, shaking them up and down.
  20. >The hand/hoof shake is broken by Echo, who is bouncing around the room, despite the fact that it doesn't seem like she has had any sugar today.
  21. >How do you know she hasn't had sugar?
  22. >The house is still clean.
  23. >And nothing is broken.
  24. Uh, Echo?
  25. >The bat p0ne stops and turns towards you.
  26. >"Hm?"
  27. Why were you bouncing around just now?
  28. >Speck is grabbed and hugged by your roommate.
  29. >"Because I just got my friend a date!"
  30. >The captured mare raises her hoof.
  31. >"Well, actually...it's a blind dat-"
  32. >"And they're going to spend time together at a carnival!"
  33. >"Echo, I still don't think this is a goo-"
  34. >"It's going to be a ton of fun!"
  35. >Echo starts to jump with Speck in her arms, but stops and throws the mare at the ground while they are in the middle of the air.
  36. >"Wait a second...you have to get ready for the date!"
  37. >She grabs Speck and pushes her outside, and closes the door on her friend.
  38. >"OK...I can get ready at my house...I'll meet you guys at the train tomorrow..."
  39. >You look out the window and can't find a trace of that mare anywhere.
  40. >Guess she's a fast flyer.
  41. >"Uh, Anon? Could we please go to the carnival tomorrow?"
  42. >After a quick 540, you see that Echo is sitting on the ground with a big grin on her face.
  43. Why?
  44. >"Because I set Speck up with a random guy, and I need to make sure the date ends greatly!"
  45. >Really? She's going to mess with her friend's date?
  46. >"Pleease?"
  47. >Her eyes soon start to water, and they gradually grow in size overtime.
  48. >Time to contemplate on whether or not taking her to a carnival would be a good thing...
  49. >On one hand, it might cost a lot of money...
  50. >And she might cause damage...
  51. >And you wouldn't get to stare at a certain cowmare's flank during the day...
  52. >On the other hand, it would allow you to get away from another day of working your ass off until you feel like dying...
  53. >And it would make the bat p0ny happy...
  54. >And it could be a ton of fun...
  55. >...
  56. >Screw it.
  57. Sure, sounds like it'd be great.
  58. >Your roommate gasps and lunges at you, wrapping her hooves around you.
  59. >"Thankyouthankyouthankyouthankyou!"
  60. >The hug is shortly broken up, and the excited bat proceeds to bounce around the room with a smile that takes up all of her face.
  61. >"This is going to be so much fun!"
  62. >She jumps and is now hanging on the ceiling.
  63. Uh, what are you doing?
  64. >She looks down at you, rolling her eyes.
  65. >"I'm going to sleep, duh."
  66. >You tilt your head in confusion.
  67. But it's only around seven...
  68. >"Well, I have nothing to do, so I'd rather sleep through the day instead of waiting the whole time."
  69. >Whatever.
  70. I'll just go tell AJ that I'm not going to be at work tomorrow.
  71. >You grab an apple and walk outside, closing the door.
  72. >Sometimes that bat's logic makes no sense.
  73. >...
  74. >The next day...
  75. >The train's horn loudly activates, causing you to sigh.
  76. >Tonight's the night that you're going to ruin your only chance at getting a mare to like you...
  77. >It's sweet that Echo would go out of her way to set you up on a blind date, but would this actually work?
  78. >Time to get the answer to this question...
  79. >You turn off the television and walk out of your bedroom, slogging towards the bathroom to make yourself look "better".
  80. >After a quick comb, you determine that you don't really look THAT bad.
  81. >Maybe this bat doesn't care about looks.
  82. >Or maybe she just wants to hang out, and doesn't want a coltfriend.
  83. >You can only hope for so much, Aux...
  84. >After a brief shower, you grab your wallet, and put it in your pocket.
  85. >Time to go.
  86. >You walk outside and make your way towards the train station.
  87. >The stroll itself wasn't that bad,
  88. especially since you live next door to the place.
  89. >Despite this convenience, this fact does make sleeping a difficult task, considering the fact that the station has a 24/7 thing.
  90. >It's rather surprising that there were no trains to interrupt your sleep for once.
  91. >Maybe it's a sign that this was meant to end in a marvelous way!
  92. >The train ride is uneventful, though riding it by yourself causes some of the other passengers to stare at you as if you had something wrong with you.
  93. >The train stops at the carnival, and you get off, moving around everyone that is in your way.
  94. >Wouldn't want to get them mad...
  95. >Once you finally get inside, you look around, hoping to find somep0ny you kno-
  96. >Hey look, there's Echo!
  97. >And she's with someone who is tall, in a suit, and has a green face with a question mark on the front of it.
  98. >...
  99. >Wat.
  100. >"Aux!"
  101. >She flies towards you while holding some pink cotton candy.
  102. >"I got this for you and your date!"
  103. >The cotton candy has now switched from her inventory to yours.
  104. >That's nerd talk for she threw it and you caught it.
  105. >You put the cotton candy on a table nearby, and point at the stranger that Echo was with.
  106. Echo? Who is that?
  107. >She looks and the direction you are pointing, and smiles.
  108. >"Oh, that's my friend and roommate, Anon! He's really nice!"
  109. Wait...you're living with that thing?
  110. >A hoof lightly nudges you.
  111. >"Anon's not a thing, he's a human!"
  112. >A mare in a nice fedora starts tapping Echo on the back.
  113. >"Uh, Echo? Didn't you say you were going to bring me to my date?"
  114. >Date.
  115. >Wait...is that the p0ny Echo set you up with?
  116. >"Oh, I almost forgot! Thanks for reminding me, Speck!"
  117. >Your bat friend grabs the mare and pushes her towards you.
  118. >"Aux, this is Speck. Speck, this is Aux."
  119. >The two of you just stare at each other as Echo's smile is taking up all of her face, probably hoping that something will happen.
  120. >Her expression turns into a sheepish grin, and she starts taking steps backwards towards her green friend.
  121. >"I'm just going to let you two do your thin-"
  122. >She bumps into a stallion, causing him to drop his ice cream on a mare.
  123. >"Oops, sorry!"
  124. >And she is now back with her "human".
  125. >The two of you go back to staring at each other without making a peep.
  126. >Except this time, both of you are blushing.
  127. >Oh Luna, she looks cute like that.
  128. >A tumbleweed rolls by you after a minute.
  129. >Guess it's up to you, the stallion, to break this dreadful silence.
  130. H-How are you d-doing?
  131. >"I-I'm fine."
  132. >Another minute passes by with neither of you saying anything.
  133. >Damn it, why can't you keep a conversati-
  134. >Maybe you could give her a gift to get things going!
  135. >But what would she like?
  136. >You grab the cotton candy from earlier, and bring it up to Speck's face.
  137. I-I got this for y-you.
  138. >She takes it and smiles.
  139. >"Uh, thanks."
  140. >You turn to where you last saw Echo to see that she is watching the two of you with binoculars, giggling.
  141. Uh, Speck?
  142. >Mr. Righty is now tapping your date.
  143. Speck...did you know that our friend is watching us?
  144. >She turns and frowns once she spots Echo.
  145. >"Really?"
  146. >The tall creature/her roommate grabs her and proceeds to drag her away, much to her displeasure.
  147. >"But Anon! My friends need my help!"
  148. >"No they don't! Just leave them to do their things and let's go do something fun!"
  149. >"But this is fun!"
  150. >"No, it's not!"
  151. >He walks into the line for a roller coaster with Echo in his arms.
  152. >"A roller coaster?! Awesome!"
  153. >She frees herself and flies through the line.
  154. >"Anon" follows her with his hooves-that-have-weird-tips covering his face.
  155. ...Well, that was-
  156. >"Odd?"
  157. Yep.
  158. >Speck starts to walk in a random direction, pulling out a wallet.
  159. >You grab her and turn her towards you in confusion.
  160. Hey, wh-where are you going?
  161. >She removes your hoof from herself and rolls her eyes.
  162. >"I'm just going to play some games, win a prize, etc."
  163. >You nod and walk after her as she takes off.
  164. >Winning a prize for this mare might make things better.
  165. >The two of you walk up to a stand with balloons stuck to a wall.
  166. >"Hello everyp0ny! Come give this game a try! All you have to do is pop all five balloons, and you'll win this giant teddy bear!"
  167. >The stallion pulls out a teddy bear from under the table, despite the fact that the table doesn't seem like it could hide a bear that big.
  168. >You smirk, and approach the stand.
  169. >It can't be that hard, could it?
  170. >Others have been able to do this before, so why would it end badly for you?
  171. >You set down 2 bits(the cost to play the game), and turn to the p0ny running the stand.
  172. Give me some darts.
  173. >He nods and and drops a bucket on the table.
  174. >Does he really think you'd need dozens of darts to win?
  175. >You grab a dart, smirk again, and throw it at the wall nonchalantly.
  176. >It hits a balloon and bounces off.
  177. >...
  178. >Wat.
  179. >You grab a bunch more and throw it at the same object.
  180. >Still no result.
  181. >What the hell's going on?
  182. >You look down at the darts themselves to see if there's anything wrong with the-
  183. >All of them are dull.
  184. >Even though it makes no sense, you clench your hoof and stare at the stallion running the place in the eyes.
  185. Y-You ch-cheater...
  186. >"Hm?"
  187. Th-This game is ri-rigged.
  188. >"Speak up louder, sonny. I can't here ya."
  189. Nevermind.
  190. >Screw it, you have a ton of darts left.
  191. >The impact of the projectiles might get too much and could pop all of them.
  192. >Or you could just throw sharp rocks at the balloons instead.
  193. >...Yeah, let's go with plan two.
  194. >You drop down to the ground, grabbing every small rock you could find.
  195. >Dull rock...fat rock...aha! A large(though oddly shaped) rock!
  196. >It is long, has a cylinder shape, and has a tip on one end.
  197. >And there are spheres on the opposite side of it.
  198. >Along with some stuff that makes it seem like it is something that is supposed to be worn.
  199. >But who would wear a rock?
  200. >You get up, holding this "rock".
  201. >"Wait, what do you think you're doing?"
  202. N-Nothing says I can't do this.
  203. >"Oh, OK. Go ahead, sir."
  204. >He blocks his mouth in an attempt to muffle a laugh.
  205. >Weird.
  206. >You throw the objects at the wall and they manage to pop all of the balloons.
  207. Yes! Now where's my prize?
  208. >You look on the other side of the stand, and find that the worker is laughing his ass off.
  209. Uh, wh-what are you doing? C-Can't you see that I w-won?
  210. >He looks up, and his eyes grow to the size of his head when he notices that you were telling the truth.
  211. >"Damn. I didn't expect anyone to win with a strap-on."
  212. >Strap-on?
  213. Uh, wh-what's a strap on?
  214. >"Wait, you don't know what a strap-on is?"
  215. No-
  216. >"Holy crap! Hey guys!"
  217. >Three p0nies walk up to him.
  218. >"This chump doesn't know what a strap-on is!"
  219. >Now you have a bunch of people laughing at you for now knowing what a "strap-on" is, despite the fact you had used it to win the gam-
  220. >Wait, you never got your prize.
  221. U-Uh, c-can I just have my pr-prize?
  222. >Once they stop laughing, the stallion pulls out the teddy bear and you take it, proceeding to walk back to Speck.
  223. >When you walk up to her, you notice that she is covering her mouth with her hoof, muffling her mouth like the worker had done.
  224. H-Hey Speck,I- I got you this.
  225. >You hand it to her and she tips over to the ground.
  226. >"Heh...it's really heavy..."
  227. >You start to walk, but immediately get stopped by Speck.
  228. >"Aux...d-did you know what you were throwing back there?"
  229. >You shake your head.
  230. N-Nope. Not at all. The guy did call it a strap-on, though.
  231. >That sets the mare off and she falls to the ground, laughing.
  232. >"O-Oh my gosh! That's gold!
  233. >She gets up, and leans in towards your ear.
  234. >"A strap-on is used in sex."
  235. >...
  236. WHAT?!
  237. >You jump and land on the bear toy.
  238. >Speck goes back to covering her mouth with her hoof.
  239. >She giggles, and grabs the toy, causing you to fall to the ground and slamming the grass with your head.
  240. Ow...
  241. >"Wasn't that fun, Anon?"
  242. >"Don't act like you originally wanted to go on that when I was the one that dragged you to the line, Echo."
  243. >"OK..."
  244. >You look up and see the green-faced thing and Echo walking towards you.
  245. >"Aux! Speck!"
  246. >She jumps into the air and starts flying at you.
  247. >Her arms stretch out, and-
  248. >She's going to hug you, isn't sh-
  249. HMPF!
  250. >The two of you crash together and land on the toy prize.
  251. >"Ow..."
  252. >The dark haired bat gets up, shakes her head, and nudges you.
  253. >"So...how's the date been going?"
  254. >You turn to Speck, who is giggling.
  255. It's been...alright...
  256. >"Speck!"
  257. >The mare moves away from you and flies at her other friend.
  258. >When she gets close enough, she locks the other mare in a tight hug.
  259. >"I missed you so much!"
  260. >"But we've only been away for about twenty minutes, Echo..."
  261. >"I know!"
  262. >The two of them separate, and Speck starts breathing in and out heavily because of how hard Echo hugs.
  263. >"Did...you really...have to hug...that hard..."
  264. >"Yep!"
  265. >Her mate finally catches up to her, and pats her head.
  266. >"Let's go get something to eat, Echo. I skipped breakfast, and I am starving."
  267. >She nods and the two of them walk away.
  268. >Your best friend turns around, and puts her hooves in a megaphone shape.
  269. >"Don't forget to go on the roller coaster! It's really fun!"
  270. >The tall bipedal creature grabs one of her hooves and starts walking towards the food stand.
  271. >"Don't try direct their date, Echo. That's how they end badly".
  272. >"OK..."
  273. >They proceed to walk into the line for food, and wait patiently, with Echo bouncing in one area.
  274. >"So...wanna go on that coaster that Echo recommended"
  275. >Damn it.
  276. Wh-Why?
  277. >"Because it looks like it'd be a ton of fun."
  278. >A chili-pepper shade of red starts to glow on her face.
  279. >"And I always wanted to ride one with someone c-cute..."
  280. >Holy crap.
  281. >Did she just call you cute?!
  282. >Sweat drips down your face as you stand there flabbergasted.
  283. >Come on, Aux.
  284. >All you need to do is say yes, and endure the t-terrifying ride with her, and things will end greatly.
  285. S-Sure, let's g-go. I-I always wanted to ride something like th-this.
  286. >The two of you grab your things and walk towards the line for the coaster.
  287. >For some reason, the line is pretty short.
  288. >Six p0nies are in line, to be exact.
  289. >A feeling of a hoof is now pushing your right side.
  290. >"Glad the ride holds eight, right?"
  291. >You nervously nod.
  292. Yeah...great...
  293. >The rope that is blocking p0nies from entering the other side of the line opens up, and almost all the seats are taken up immediately.
  294. >Only the front ones are left when you and Speck finally get to the front of the line.
  295. >What a coincidence...
  296. >"Um, is there a place where I could put my fedora for safekeeping, sir?"
  297. >Oh, right.
  298. >You have to put the teddy bear somewhere safe so it doesn't get stole-
  299. >"Sorry, ma'am, but we do not have an area for you to put your items. You're going to have to wear it through the ride. Same goes for you, teddy bear stallion."
  300. >Really? You're going to have to hold it during the ride?
  301. >The two of you say "OK" in at the same time, and sit down on the coaster.
  302. >This is going to end badly...
  303. >The ride starts, and there is a light jerk that sends the cart forward.
  304. >It reaches the slope, and is now going up.
  305. >And up. And up.
  306. >"So...you nervous, Aux?"
  307. >You shake your head.
  308. N-Nope...n-not scared at a-all...
  309. >"Really? This ride lasts three minutes, and barely anyone was in line because of how scary the ride is, so it'd be ok for this thing to put some fear into you."
  310. >She looks down, dripping sweat from her face.
  311. >"I-I can see why no one else was in line..."
  312. >Gulp.
  313. >The feeling of a hoof touches your right hoof.
  314. >You turn and see that Speck had grabbed it.
  315. >Ohgoshohgoshohgoshohgosh!
  316. >A mare is finally holding hooves with you!
  317. >This is amazing...
  318. >The vehicle finally manages to make it to the top, an-
  319. AHHHHHH!!!!
  320. >...
  321. >"AHHHHHH!!!!"
  322. >You look up, and see that the roller coaster has started its drop.
  323. >The chump in the front should've sat in the middle, like you did.
  324. >"*lick noise* Thanks for getting me this ice cream, Anon!"
  325. >Echo places herself down on the chair next to you.
  326. >"*Swallowing noise* So...whatcha watching?"
  327. >You smirk.
  328. Just some guy that made the wrong choice of sitting in the front of the coaster.
  329. >Your "partner" looks up, and gasps.
  330. >"Oh my gosh, that's Aux and Speck!"
  331. >Wait, what.
  332. >"And Speck is still wearing her cute fedora!"
  333. >She's wearing a hat...on a roller coaster?
  334. >"And Aux has a...giant teddy bear?"
  335. >Wat.
  336. >You look up, an-
  337. >What the hell are those fools doing?
  338. >Speck has one hoof on her hat and is holding Aux's hoof, while Aux is loosing his grip on the toy.
  339. >That thing is SO going to fly through the air at one point.
  340. >"Do you think they're having fun?"
  341. >You look down at Echo, who is swinging her tail, hitting the floor repeatedly.
  342. >After another glimpse at the "love birds", you conclude that something is going to happen involving their ite-
  343. >"MY FEDORA!"
  344. >There is a gust of wind, the fedora is flying at and and Echo goes into the air for no reason at all.
  345. >"I got it, I got i-"
  346. >BONK!
  347. >The piece of clothing hits her in the head, causing her to fall to the ground.
  348. E-Echo?
  349. >You walk over to her now-silent body, and try to check for any injuries.
  350. >Her leg twitches, and the fedora falls from the air, landing perfectly on her head, covering her face.
  351. >Guess you should put her somewhere saf-
  352. HHMPF!
  353. >Something knocks into you, and now you are unconscious on the ground with your friend.
  354. >...
  355. >You and Aux are now exiting the ride, shaking with fear.
  356. >It went so fast that you lost your favorite hat, and Aux had lost his teddy bear.
  357. Th-That was f-fun...
  358. >"Y-Yep..."
  359. S-So...what should we do n-next?"
  360. >You turn to Aux, and see that he is gone.
  361. Aux?
  362. >"Um, Speck? I-I found your hat and my bear..."
  363. >He found it?
  364. >"And I found our f-friends..."
  365. >What is he talking about?
  366. >You approach him, scratching your hea-
  367. >Your hat!
  368. >You immediately burst and rush at it, grabbing the thing off of the p0ny that is wea-
  369. >It's on Echo.
  370. Echo?
  371. >"And I found her green friend..."
  372. >He lifts the prize, revealing that tall thing that seemed like it was going to hurt you yesterday.
  373. >"Wh-What should we do with them?"
  374. >The stallion picks up Echo, and attempts to drag her roommate with one hoof.
  375. >"Sp-Speck? I n-need some h-help..."
  376. >You nod and proceed to help him drag your peers wherever Aux is dragging the-
  377. >"I-I think this sh-should be a g-good place to put th-them."
  378. >He sets Echo down on a bench.
  379. >"No Anon...I don't want to go to sleep...it's only midnight...like my...cousin's name..."
  380. >She curls up, and grabs Aux's toy, hugging it in her sleep/knocked out state.
  381. >"OK...I'll sleep...just make sure to have ice cream when I *yawns* wake up..."
  382. >An adorable smile erupts from her face.
  383. >You decide to place Anon next to her on the bench.
  384. >"Echo...stop eating everything...it's not good for you..."
  385. >You smile, and turn to Aux.
  386. So, what now?
  387. >"I-I don't know..."
  388. >There are nine dings, and you look up at the clock tower-that-only exists-because-the-author-needed -a-way-to-show-time.
  389. >9:00 P.M.
  390. >So this date has somehow already taken one hour, despite the fact you two have not done much.
  391. >How does that work?!
  392. >"I-I think we should stay with them until they wake up..."
  393. >You nod.
  394. Yeah...I agree...
  395. >...
  396. >You open your eyes, gasping.
  397. >Your friends were doing their date thing, and you haven't been awake to watch them!
  398. Anon!
  399. >"Wh-What..."
  400. >You turn to your comrade, who is wiping his face.
  401. >"What the hell happened..."
  402. I don't know.
  403. >Your legs regain their energy and you stand up.
  404. We need to check on my friends' date!
  405. >"Uh, Echo?"
  406. >"W-We're right here."
  407. >Huh?
  408. What?
  409. >A quick spin, and it turns out your best friends were standing right in front of you.
  410. Guys!
  411. >You spring and jump at them, taking them in for a tight hug, because tight hugs signify a good friendship.
  412. I'm sorry I was knocked out and wasn't able to help you throughout your date!
  413. >Your grip increases, and your friends start to make noises.
  414. >"Th-That's nice, Echo, but y-you're kinda...chocking...m-me..."
  415. >Oops.
  416. Heh, sorry.
  417. >Anon gets up and grabs you, moving you away from the two that need your help.
  418. >"Uh, could you guys explain what the hell happened to us?"
  419. >They both nod and sweat in sync.
  420. >No, seriously, they're doing everything at the same time.
  421. >The sweat is dripping down their face at the same rate.
  422. >Honest!
  423. >"Well...Aux and I had to wear/carry our stuff on the ride...and it kinda fell off during a drop...and hit you guys really hard..."
  424. >She sheepishly grins, and looks down.
  425. >"We're sorry."
  426. >We're sorry.
  427. >Sorry.
  428. You guys don't have to be sorry, it's our fault that they hit us!
  429. >"Wh-what?"
  430. >"What?"
  431. >"Are you fucking kidding me?"
  432. >You nod.
  433. Yeah! We didn't see those things, and that's why they hit us on accident!
  434. >Anon facepalms.
  435. >"Let's just go before you say any more stupid things."
  436. >You shake your head.
  437. No! I have to make sure the date is perfect!
  438. >There are eleven dings, which obviously means that it is 11:00 P.M.
  439. >"Uh, how long were we knocked out?"
  440. >"Tw-Two hours."
  441. >"What?! I have work tomorrow! I was only allowed to skip today!"
  442. >You feel a hand grab your hoof.
  443. >"Echo, we have to go."
  444. >What?
  445. B-But Anon...my friends...
  446. >Your eyes start to tear up.
  447. I need to help them...
  448. >Speck walks up to you, smiling.
  449. >"It's fine, Echo. I'm having an alright time with Aux. There's no need to make sure everything is alright."
  450. >You nod, and proceed to walk away with Anon, with tears dripping down your face.
  451. >"Hey...look on the bright side...I'll buy food for us!"
  452. >Food.
  453. Yay!
  454. >You jump and hug Anon by his neck.
  455. Thankyouthankyouthankyou!
  456. >...
  457. >You and Aux stare as Echo starts to choke her housemate.
  458. >After they leave(with the giant teddy bear), there is a silence that the two of you are way too familiar with.
  459. >A stomach growl breaks it, though.
  460. >"Heh...I-I haven't eaten anything all d-day..."
  461. >Neither have you.
  462. Well, there's a food stand nearby...wanna get some hay fries and some drinks?
  463. >"S-Sure."
  464. >The two of you walk about forty steps and already make it to the stand.
  465. >Aux puts a hoof in front of you, putting you to a full stop.
  466. >"I-I'll pay for the food. J-Just wait here."
  467. >So he's paying for you?
  468. >That's kinda sweet of him.
  469. >You sit down by a nearby table, tapping your hooves on the ground.
  470. >He pulls out his wallet and walks towards the stallion running the stand.
  471. >The worker opens his mouth, though they are too far for you to hear him.
  472. >Aux puts his hoof behind his head, and sets some bits down.
  473. >After one second, your date is walking back to you with a plate of fries and two big containers.
  474. >Oh...he wasn't planning on sharing a cup...
  475. >"I-I got us some strawberry milkSHAKES!"
  476. >He stumbles over a rock and spills the some of the stuff on the ground.
  477. >Heh, cute.
  478. >"Oh come on..."
  479. >A smile grows on your face as you get up off of your seat.
  480. You need some help with that?
  481. >"N-No, I-I got th-EEP!"
  482. >A stallion that is way too big and buff bumps into Aux, and is now scratching the back of his head.
  483. >"Woah...sorry about that, little dude."
  484. >He pulls your date back up, and raises his hoof for a hoof bump.
  485. >"Say...what are you doing here so late?"
  486. >"I-I'm on a date with a m-mare..."
  487. >"Really? Nice. So..."
  488. >He points at you.
  489. >"...is that your date?"
  490. >Aux nods.
  491. >The stallion leans in towards his ear, grinning.
  492. >"...And don't forget to take your lady on the Ferris wheel, got that?"
  493. >He shoves Aux towards you, and you catch him in your hooves.
  494. >A rose falls on your face, getting caught in your mouth.
  495. >A random p0ny runs up to the two of you, and takes a picture.
  496. >"Oh my gosh, that's adorable! I'm saving this in my album that contains photos of random couples!"
  497. >A tint of red goes on both of your faces.
  498. >"We-we're not d-datin-"
  499. >The creepy stranger is now gone.
  500. >You set Aux down, and throw the rose in te garbage.
  501. So...what now?
  502. >Aux starts to circle his hoof around the ground.
  503. >"W-We could always g-go on the F-Ferris wheel..."
  504. >Ferris wheel.
  505. >Sounds fun.
  506. Sure, sounds like fun.
  507. >The two of you make your way to the ride, passing by a bunch of...love related rides.
  508. >Love boats, pictures stands, flowers, chocolates in the shape of hearts, etc.!
  509. >It's sickening.
  510. >Or maybe it's a sign...
  511. >A bunch of p0nies in the same clothing approach the two of you.
  512. >"Hey! I think you should buy some flowers for the lovely mare!"
  513. >"N-No thanks..."
  514. >"Oh, maybe you'd prefer a picture!"
  515. >"Again, I-I rather no-"
  516. >You are pushed away as Aux is surrounded by a bunch of strangers with items in the theme of hearts and hooves day.
  517. >"You should buy this, just in case you get lucky tonight!"
  518. >The stallion gets pushed by another one.
  519. >"No, my items are better for hot coffee!"
  520. >"You shut up!"
  521. >As fast as they arrived, the group argues and starts physically fighting itself.
  522. >And Aux is in the middle of it.
  523. >"Speck! Help!"
  524. >Time to be the heroine.
  525. >Just like with your other dates.
  526. >You jump into the fray, pushing and shoving everyp0ny that gets in your way.
  527. >Thankfully, the majority of them are holding "important" objects, so getting them to move wasn't that hard.
  528. >Once you get to the middle of the area, you see that Aux's hooves are being grabbed by two(very weak) mares.
  529. >"This stallion's buying my coltfriend's condoms!"
  530. >"No, he's buying mine!"
  531. >Really? They're trying to get him to sell him sex items?
  532. >"I don't want any condoms at all!"
  533. >Thank Luna that he's not like tha-
  534. >"Well, you're going to buy some, and you're going to use them!"
  535. >...Really?
  536. >Time to end this.
  537. >You walk up to the mares, and they turn to you.
  538. >"What do you want?"
  539. >Aux mouths "Help me" as they stop pulling him.
  540. Look, my date doesn't want anything to do with sex, and he definitely doesn't want to use anything related to the topic.
  541. >"Wh-What she said."
  542. >The two mares drop him, and walk away, frowning.
  543. >"Virgins."
  544. >What?
  545. >Nevermind, they're not important.
  546. Aux?
  547. >He turns to you, sweating.
  548. >"Y-Yes?"
  549. Why don't we just go on that Ferris wheel and go home after that? I'd rather not stay here any longer after that, anyway.
  550. >He nods and you both turn to walk to the large ride, though in reality, you only take about five steps since you really weren't that far from it to begin with.
  551. >When you get to the passenger car, Aux walks in front of you and opens the door.
  552. >"L-Ladies first."
  553. >You walk inside the car, rolling your eyes.
  554. >It's nice that he's doing this, but in the end, it's not needed at all.
  555. >He proceeds to sit down next to you, sweat going down his cheek.
  556. >It's kinda cute that he thinks that he's going to mess everything up the whole night.
  557. >The ride starts spinning in its usual rotational matter.
  558. >Honestly, it's been really enjoyable.
  559. >Watching him win a giant teddy ear with a sex toy, holding hooves during a roller coaster ride, discussing the silly things that Echo has done to/with the two of you in the past as you watched over her and her friend's bodies, and now this.
  560. >A simple ride on a Ferris wheel.
  561. >The two of you watch as a firework goes off in the distance, creating a bright white fang.
  562. >Batty.
  563. >You lean in closer to Aux, and connect his hoof with yours.
  564. >His face turns chili-pepper red when he realizes what is going on.
  565. >"O-Oh...my..."
  566. >Even more sweat drips down his face, dripping to the floor.
  567. >Gross, but whatever.
  568. >Another firework explodes in the air, creating a big red heart.
  569. >A thought pops into your head, causing you to blush.
  570. H-Hey Aux?
  571. >He turns to you, still red.
  572. >"Y-Yes?"
  573. Do you think it's a sign?
  574. >"Wh-What?"
  575. The heart. Does it seem like life is trying to send us a message?
  576. >"N-Now that you mention it..."
  577. And before that, we kept passing romance related things, like a ride dedicated to couples, gift shops with items you would give to a loved one, and the group of people that thought we were an item?
  578. >"Wh-What are you s-saying..."
  579. >What are you saying.
  580. >Saying.
  581. >What ARE you trying to say?
  582. >You open your mouth, but nothing comes out.
  583. >The beating from your heart is now loud enough for you to hear it, and it sounds as if it is going at 3 beats per second.
  584. >Is this what you want? To be dating a stuttering stallion who your friend recommended?
  585. >The ride abruptly stops, and the door is opened by a worker.
  586. >"Sorry, ma'am, but it's closing time."
  587. >You nod and walk to the train with Aux.
  588. >The ride is silent, with neither of you saying much.
  589. >It comes to a stop, and you both get off.
  590. >The horn goes off, signifying that the train is now leaving the station.
  591. >"Th-That was f-fun."
  592. >His hoof goes behind his head, and his face turns red yet again.
  593. Yeah...I really liked hanging out with you.
  594. >You lean in and give him a light peck on the cheek.
  595. >The chili-pepper shade of red is now on your face as you talk.
  596. W-We should do this again.
  597. >"R-Really?"
  598. >You nod.
  599. H-How's next week s-sound?
  600. >"A-Amazing. I-I'll be th-there."
  601. >You smile and turn to walk home.
  602. >Echo's SO going to flip when you tell her about this...
  603. >The end.
