  1. The government collects many types of data regarding economics. So do private companies such as corporations and financial institutions. This data is on inflation, GDP, unemployment, housing starts, interest rates, money supply, and many others. This data is used to help the government, businesses, and individuals make informed plans and decisions about their short and long term futures.
  2. Your assignment is to identify at least 10 different economc databases, describe them, identify how to access them, and describe how the government, businesses, and individuals use this information.
  3. Also, your assignment is take data regarding unemployment, GDP, inflation, and interest rates from 2014 (since 2015 is not finished yet) and compare it against the same information for 2009 and 2004. Then, draw whatever conclusions you observe in your data comparisons and support your conclusions using the opinions of economic experts. That is, your conclusions should not be based on your personal opinions since you are not yet recognized as an expert on the topic of macroeconomics. Since all of your information will be taken from those who are experts, you must footnote and cite each and every piece of information in your answer. (Improper footnoting and citation is plagiarism, and as written in the course syllabus, papers with plagiarism earn a zero without exception. If you have a question on how to footnote and cite your research, please contact your professor). Also, your answer should be kept to matters of economics and shall not include politics.
  4. Your paper can be as long as you wish and contain as many references as you wish, but it should be at least 500 words and contain at least 5 references. The more diverse the references the better.
