Sonnet

I see the sun, it makes me think of you
It shines on dewy grass, 'neath cloudless sky:
'T'all sparkles green, just like your eyes do, too
The stunning beaut' brings you to my mind's eye

Amidst your friends you stand, you laugh, you smile
Though just as well, you may have stood there 'lone,
For naught could make my eyes a single while,
Digress from you: face, hair, your ev'ry bone

Your sight fills me with warmth and fuzziness
When you're around my world is nice and bright,
But when you're gone I'll sorrowfully miss
My sun, for with it gone my world turns night

Alas, you will be leaving this place soon
I'll have to go and find myself a moon
