  1. He was trained, as all the members of the warring tribe, in fighting with the standard round metal shield and scimitar weapons of the eastern deserts and, since his coming of age, in warring the bandits that were found all around.
  2. The life was rough, and little time had he left for anything that was not duty. But yet he was happy, for he knew he was doing right and was fullfilling his part in the tribe, aswell as pleasing his father, last remaining part of his family.

  4. In future, he knew, he'd have to marry someone out of duty, and obviously produce sons who will then further help the tribe and its story survive the harsh climate and its hostile neighbors but again, he could accept all, for he was thankful that he had something to be part of.

  6. Everything was part of the normal life of a desert bedouin, until the local Governor A'zaam betrayed the bedouins by allying with biggest bandit in the zone to split the gains of his robbery and prepared a trap for the bedouins to die and disappear in the sands.

  8. Fortunately, Ra'id was ill because his father had sensed some subterfuge in the Governor and fed him slightly poisoned date to stop him from partecipating in the battle, without ruining his honor in front of the tribe.

  10. As soon as the news of the events reached him, together with the couple of remainings bedouins, he knew the worst had happened and he had to flee.

  12. After sending warning to all the other bedouin tribes remaining, the few who survived the treachery, he took off to the closest ship, mustering his forces and slowly steeling himself for betrayal of the lands he knew, but such was the only path that could lead him to survival and vengeance, swearing he will be back and that when it will happen, he will first take everything dear to A'zaam and the slowly murder and butcher him for days.
