In recent weeks there were various publicized alerts regarding cyber attacks on computer systems and network infrastructure of Israeli organizations, expected to take place on Sunday, April 7th.

The attacks are expected to be of the “denial of service” type. They aim to hinder the use of computer systems and networks by overloading them. As a result, users may experience delays or unavailability of computer resources.

Users may also experience an increased flood of emails containing malicious attachments and/or links to malicious sites. We also expect “phishing” attempts. These are massages which look legitimate, and they attempt to collect personal details (such as passwords) from the users. Please note that we never ask for such information through email.

Please take extra care when using computing resources. In particular, delete email which looks suspicious, and make sure not to open attachments nor click on links included in such messages.
