[02:03] <Camellia> (should be short, the main purpose is really just to get Kuji his meditite, but there will be TEA DISCUSSION as it happens)

[02:04] <Kuji> Camellia, Jamal, and Reinhard arrive at the village Kuji was talking about. There's a car parked in front of the "Milk Tea Place", with a few Miltanks grazing outside.

[02:05] <Jamal> Jamal just sort of stares at the sign. "...This place is more rural then I thought for a place like this to be the Meowth's meow."
[02:06] <Reinhard> "HA! The best of EVERYTHING is always found tucked away in some quiet corner of the earth!"
[02:08] <Camellia> "A tea house? Out here? This certainly is worth a look." Camellia rushes inside first.
06[02:09] * Reinhard blinks and stares for a moment. "...Well."
[02:09] <Jamal> Jamal shrugs. "Guess we might as well rest..."
[02:10] <Reinhard> "Hardly the APPROPRIATE time, I have quite a lot in me, but she is pursuing a PASSION! Clearly not something to skip!"
06[02:10] * Jamal follows, still eyeing the sign. "...Seriously, who named this place."

[02:10] <Kuji> "Wah! This is a great place! I wish I came here when I was a kid." Kuji is sitting near the entrance, in front of him about ten small cups of different tea mixed with different milks. "I like this one the most." he says, holding up an empty glass.

[02:10] <Reinhard> "Someone not expecting for there to be any alternative."

[02:12] <Jamal> Jamal, less enthralled, instantly notices Kuji "...Kuji, wah-um - what the hell are you doing here?"

06[02:12] * Camellia is heading straight for the tea selection when she spots Kuji. "Chamomile, look they even ha- oh, hi Kuji. What brings you out to the countryside?"
[02:12] <BigTentacruel> (I'm in a very not-Sophia place at the moment. I'll just idle and maybe read as things go.)
[02:12] <Kuji> "...I called you, didn't I?"
[02:13] <Kuji> "I swear I called you and said we should meet up, and..." Kuji pauses, thinking. "...come to think of it, that MIGHT have been a dream."
06[02:13] * Jamal takes a seat, eyeing the cups. "This sort of reminds me of my coffee stash."
06[02:13] * Camellia blinks. "Oh right, I forgot. The tea, you know..." she's still eyeing the jars of loose leaf tea on the shelves as she takes a seat next to Kuji and begins unpacking...a tea set from her bag?
[02:14] <Kuji> "...wow, you already come prepared. Anyways. I need your help. You're a psychic, right?"
06[02:14] * Jamal shudders.
06[02:15] * Reinhard near collapses in a chair, contrary to what he just said. Yngvi takes a towel from his pack and lightly pats his forehead.
[02:15] <Camellia> "Um....no, actually. I've met a few though." Camellia continues unpacking the set and arranges the cups in a row on little wooden platters. "Jamal, Reinhard, would you care to have some tea? They seem to have quite a selection here."
[02:16] <Jamal> "You know I've never really been a tea drinker.  Usually prefer coffee."  Still eyeing the cups, so many cups.
[02:16] <Reinhard> "Mmm... sure! I'd love a drink!"
[02:16] <Kuji> "Hm... oh, dammit. I was planning on someone helping me understand these shadow Pokemon."
[02:17] <Camellia> "But...it's tea, there's so much varie- did you say shadow pokemon?" Camellia stops midway in scooping some tea from a jar with one bandaged hand, while handing some money to the shopkeep with the other.
06[02:17] * Reinhard pauses immediately. "What indeed..."
[02:17] <Camellia> (cut me off in my varietea pun :<)
[02:17] <Jamal> "What's a shadow wah."  Jamal is confused.
[02:17] <Kuji> "Yeah... I got one earlier."
[02:17] <Reinhard> "Circus?"
06[02:18] * Kuji nods
[02:18] <Reinhard> "Hrmph. What sort of circus even... Well, they lucked out."
[02:19] <Kuji> "Same as New Year's."
[02:19] <Reinhard> "That much is clear--after all, we all got them!"
[02:19] <Jamal> "What's this about 'shadow Pokemon?' " Scratches his head, still eyeing the tea. "I don't recall hearing about this from the circus."
[02:20] <Kuji> "...one of you two, explain."
[02:20] <Camellia> "...Something lighter then, to offset the mood this conversation's taking..." Camellia mutters to herself as she scoops up another type of tea, thin needle-like leaves, and brings it back to her seat.
[02:20] <Reinhard> "Brainwashed is what they said."
[02:21] <Reinhard> "Altered and honed into the perfect killing machine... of course, not one that seems to work very well with others, or show any sign of being anything near a healthy specimen."
[02:21] <Camellia> "...Pokemon who have had their souls closed off due to abuse." Camellia frowns as she grabs some hot water and pours it over her tea set.
[02:22] <Kuji> "That's what Salino said..."
[02:23] <Reinhard> "Is there anything more to it? Treat them as you would your others, they say, and bring them to their senses."
[02:24] <Camellia> "...There is something to it." Camellia seeps the silverneedle tea in the hot water before dumping it out and seeping it again. "...I cannot commune with them the way I do other pokemon."
[02:24] <Kuji> "...yeah. That's pretty much what we're planning to do... wait. Camellia. You aren't a psychic, but you have those powers..."
[02:24] <Kuji> "What are you, then?"
[02:25] <Reinhard> "And mine has remained completely silent regardless of what it does or I have it do."
[02:25] <Reinhard> "Probably a side effect, no?"
[02:25] <Jamal> Jamal contemplates this a bit, releases Bravo and sits the cat/weasil critter in his lap. "I'm gonna guess its a bit more severe then the dire straights I found this guy in.  Can't really suggest anything BUT that, I guess."

06[02:26] * Camellia passes a cup of tea to everyone, reserving one for Chai, who has hopped up on Camellia's lap. "Hm..." she shrugs. "I was meant to be a priestess, I believe. Or a medium. Whichever you prefer. I have an affinity for the abilities of ghost type pokemon, and I can...connect with most pokemon in an intimate way."
[02:28] <Jamal> Jamal eyes the cup. "Like a WIZARD?"
[02:28] <Kuji> "...that's... oh, good." He takes his tea and sips it, not at all fazed by the HOT HOT HOT of the tea. Most likely because of Salino and HOT HOT HOT chocolate. "You know... I kinda need to train on those kinds of powers."
06[02:29] * Reinhard pretty much downs his in one gulp. THIRSTY. "...Mrh. Is it really something you can TRAIN?"
[02:29] <Camellia> "A wiz-, no Jamal, you've seen my powers at work. It's not quite as grandiose as that, I'm afraid." Camellia gives a meek smile as she raises a bandaged hand.
[02:29] <Jamal> Jamal blinks. "Train to...wait, there's a wizard school?" he sips the tea suspiciously.
[02:30] <Kuji> "...my dad could do it... and every guardsman before me could... so why can't I..."
[02:30] <Camellia> "...If it is, I would not know. A..." Camellia pauses for a second, thinking. "Well, a certain incident in my past left me with them. A childhood spent training with ghost pokemon has allowed me to replicate their battle techniques, but communing with pokemon, well, that was a gift of circumstance, I'm afraid."
[02:30] <Reinhard> "Then it is only natural you will AWAKEN to any abilities once you have need for them, no?"
[02:31] <Jamal> "Uh huh." he sips the tea. "What is this anyway?" You've lost him.
[02:31] <Kuji> "...I suppose you're right." Kuji sighed and put his head do- "Oh. Sorry. I'm Kuji Kotodes. You?"
[02:31] <Reinhard> "Regardless! This tea is DELICIOUS. Is it safe for pokemon? I am afraid Tiwas seems to have acquired a taste ever since the alcohol."
[02:31] <Camellia> "I'm afraid I awoke to mine immediately after I needed them." Camellia says quietly, taking the cup from Chai and sipping from it.
[02:33] <Camellia> "It uh...should be." Camellia looks over at the shelves. "It's silver needle tea. Very light, should be fine for pokemon." she returns the cup to Chai, who sips from it happily.
06[02:34] * Kuji extends his hand to Reinhard.
[02:34] <Reinhard> "Just... just the two names, then? No particularly..."
[02:34] <Jamal> "This is sounding awefully familiar to someo-" Bravo snags the cup from him. "...You little DEVIANT."
06[02:34] * Reinhard poses. "I am... Reinhard Ewald Draksson von Fraenir, first successor to the von Fraenir tradition of dragon tamers!"
06[02:35] * Reinhard unposes. "And tradition rears its head every time I am to introduce myself to someone of my status."
[02:35] <Kuji> "Haha. You have an important family too, I see."
06[02:36] * Camellia has now purchased a small brick of tea which she breaks up and brings back to her seat, looking pretty cheerful despite them having just started discussing shadow pokemon. "...and this is pu-erh, the tea I named my Solosis after. Would you all like some more?"
[02:36] <Reinhard> "Gladly."
[02:36] <Kuji> "Of course."
[02:37] <Jamal> "Excuse me if my inquiriest of WIZARDRY sound odd.  My family is peculiar but I am not familiar with such gifts," he snatches back the cup, and investigates this 'tea stuff' further.
06[02:37] * Camellia nods and starts preparing it, sighing. "...and of course, these 'shadow pokemon' are a handful. I'm beginning to worry I've been handed a circumstance that prevents me from caring for all my pokemon the way I'd like..."
06[02:38] * Kuji takes out his wooden poke and sort of twirls it a little in his head

[02:38] <Reinhard> "Unfortunate, yes. Most RULES OF HONORABLE FULL COMBAT suggest six in total, and I find it a perfectly reasonable limit to stick to for everyday use."
[02:39] <Jamal> "Funny story, one of the members of that 'fan club' mailed me a farfetch'd egg. I don't have a clue what to do with her now that's she's hatched myself. Guess time will tell."
[02:39] <Reinhard> Tiwas pokes a horned head in and slurps from the cup while Reinhard lectures.

[02:39] <Camellia> "Only six...?" Camellia furrows her brow. "I...oh my, I have a few more than that..."

[02:40] <Kuji> "Haha. You people are way too dependent on your Pokemon." Kuji slams his fist on his chestplate. "You need to have strength yourself, you know."
[02:40] <Camellia> "Reinhard, you didn't tell me about this when you were teaching me about league battles! I have eight with me now!"
[02:40] <Jamal> "...How could you NOT know that standard?"
[02:41] <Jamal> "and Kuji, you're welcome to wrestle Alpha to try to prove that."
06[02:41] * Camellia blinks. "But why would there even be a standard?" Camellia waves her bandaged hand at Kuji. "Yes, but you don't approve of when I use my own strength to protect myself..."
[02:41] <Reinhard> "But STRENGTH is the greatest aspect of any dragon tamer! You must win their hearts through your FISTS AND INDOMITABLE WILL!"
[02:41] <Kuji> "Hmph. Alright, then. Wanna do it now?"
06[02:42] * Camellia frowns. "Kuji, no."
[02:42] <Reinhard> "And the reason I did not say is because the current fashion is very far from full six-on-six. Smaller fights are simply more convenient."
[02:42] <Jamal> "...I wasn't being entirely serious."
[02:42] <Kuji> "...alright, I... guess I could." Cringe. "Allow it... but don't interfere with stuff like duels!"
[02:42] <Reinhard> "Not to mention most tournaments limiting the active team per round to half that..."
[02:42] <Kuji> "Ah, darn it." Kuji calms down and drinks another cup of tea.
[02:43] <Kuji> "Haha. You really think you're good enough with your fists, Reinhard?"
06[02:43] * Jamal inspects the tea scattered across the table. "Are they multiplying?"
[02:43] <Camellia> "...some duel that was. They never planned on playing fair." Camellia mumbles and shakes her head. "In any case, I believe I blundered in purchasing an egg I couldn't properly take care of. She's a sweet meditite, but I'm inexperienced with dealing with fighting type pokemon, and I'm afraid circumstance has drawn my attention away from her these recent days."
[02:44] <Reinhard> "Nnnnot always. I am, after all, out here only for my own strength's benefit."
[02:44] <Kuji> "Fighting type... I'll take it."
[02:44] <Camellia> "Take...?" Camellia is a bit shocked. "But...that'd be like giving up, wouldn't it?"
[02:44] <Jamal> "And Kuji, I thought I told you, I'm a student of the art of KNIFE FIGHTERY.  You don't have to lecture me in the needs of martial arts."
[02:45] <Reinhard> "My mother could wrestle any Salamence out in the caves into taking a lower quality of food than we'd normally give it, though! I... really only worked my way up to Old Brunhilde before going on this adventure, sadly."
[02:45] <Kuji> "Heheh. Alright, then, Jamal, if you're ready, just try to hit me."
[02:46] <Reinhard> "But I made her lose her last tooth, that's something!"
[02:47] <Jamal> "You seem awefully quick to rumble for this being TEA PARTY." he grabs an arbitrary cup and inspects the substance within.
06[02:47] * Camellia just buys even more tea as the rest of the crew discusses their manly pokemon wrestling adventures. This one she places into a large glass teapot where it blossoms into a vibrant yellow flower as she pours the water in.
[02:48] <Reinhard> "...My word, I've never seen anything like that. How do they do it?"
[02:48] <Kuji> "...well, I'm kinda bored. I mean, after all, I just have the tea.
06[02:48] * Jamal shudders at the mention of mothers.
06[02:49] * Camellia beams. "I don't know myself! I wasn't taught before I...had to leave. I'm not even sure Assam will ever grow such flowers. Torterra were not the only pokemon in Ecruteak's tea fields."
06[02:49] * Reinhard finishes this cup rather quick as well, giving Tiwas only the chance to lick at the blossom.

[02:50] <Camellia> "This shop has a better selection of quality teas than I've seen in a while. It's pretty dazzling." Camellia seems kinda spacey right now.

06[02:54] * Camellia takes on a serious expression. "But you're also caring for a shadow pokemon...I'm finding my own difficult to handle, and pokemon of a...mystical nature are usually my forte, not to mention the natural advantage I have with my abilities."
06[02:54] * Reinhard wheezes a little. "Well, rather full now..."
[02:55] <Camellia> (oh, okay, it's just this is hardly everyday volume of tea buying, but that works given Camellia doesn't really have other things to buy >_>)
06[02:55] * Kuji thumps his chest plate. "I can handle it. Just watch me. I know how to handle anything by myself. Even Pokemon."
[02:55] <Jamal> "There's more tea here then I've seen brands of coffee, this is madnes..."

06[02:57] * Camellia nods slowly and pulls an apricorn ball from in her robes. A small tap later and out pops a meditite. "Her name is Mint. Mint, I...must apologize for the lack of attention I've given you lately. Circumstances have...well, it's no excuse, but a friend of mine has offered to take you under his wing, and he is rather capable with pokemon of your kind, whereas I am not..." rambling apology,etc.

[03:00] <Camellia> "Fighting types have a down to earth discipline I am unaccustomed to." Camellia smiles meekly. "My ghosts for example happen to be quite the pranksters as you've undoubtedly seen."

[03:01] <Camellia> (anyway Kuji, stats can be found on Camellia's sheet. Lemme know when you're done copying so I can take them down)
06[03:02] * Kuji nods once. "I understand." Kuji takes the ball from Camellia and holds it, recalling the Pokemon. "...hm. I'm going to like him."

[03:02] <Jamal> "I must say you do seem to attract ghosts like a magnet."
[03:02] <Reinhard> "Better than me at least. Personally, I'm rather afraid any given ghost would simply up and leave me after a week, and anything more fragile than steel simply break under the stress..."
[03:02] <Kuji> (Camellia: I know. Aura isn't like voices, though.)
[03:03] <Camellia> "......" Camellia pauses mid-sip at that comment. "Well, yes, I do. That's...part of why I left Ecruteak." she finishes the rest of the cup. "It helps with the job, at least."
06[03:03] * Jamal shrugs. "My companions were mostly abandoned by criminals, I believe. Cept the damn bear. I'm fairycertain my mother stole him from Saxton's Bear Ranch."

06[03:05] * Kuji takes the ball and... just holds on to it. It's not like he has anywh- and into the bag strapped to his belt it goes. "So, Camellia. Uh..."

[03:06] <Reinhard> "None of us do. If you are ever ambushed by that sunglasses fellow, though, do tell him to stop being so smug."

[03:06] <Reinhard> "Yes. White hair, thick sunglasses, strange gauntlet. Rather disliked us having the things."
06[03:07] * Camellia frowns. "Thought we'd be incapable of caring for them without even first assessing our talents."
[03:07] <Kuji> "Ah."
[03:07] <Kuji> "I see."
[03:07] <Jamal> "There are only two people I fear being ambushed by in this region; El Tigre Change and...her.Hey, is the man you're talkin' about that guy with the Eevees who was at the carnival?"
[03:07] <Reinhard> "Precisely him!"
[03:09] <Jamal> "Related to the shadow pokemon I take it?  Guessin' we'll run into him again if he's causin' issues."
06[03:09] * Kuji nods.
[03:09] <Camellia> "He said he would find us. Somehow. Once our pokemon were ready. I cannot understand how."
[03:10] <Reinhard> "I intend to test him on that."
[03:10] <Kuji> "Why would you? It isn't practical at all."
[03:11] <Reinhard> "Because the alternative is being incompetent at my very purpose!"
06[03:11] * Jamal continues to suspiciously sample tea. "No, seriously, how does a place named Milk Tea House have so much variety."
[03:11] <Reinhard> "The whole year? Nonsense, just a matter of months.
[03:12] <Kuji> "Hm. So you're one of those Pokemon who neglect themselves, relying only on Pokemon."
[03:12] <Reinhard> "I am not a pokemon, and my STRENGTH is very well maintained!
[03:12] <Kuji> "Because they have tons of tea. And lots of milk."
06[03:12] * Camellia nods "I also pride myself on my ability to connect with pokemon. It should not be difficult to treat this, given more information."
[03:12] <Jamal> "Kuji, don't be silly, he's not a -"
[03:13] <Kuji> "Trainers. Jeez."
[03:13] <Kuji> "Are you sure your strength is maintained." Kuji stands up from his chair.
[03:13] <Jamal> "...This reminded me of a very horrifying story I read as a child involving Dittos.  Huh.  I musta repressed that memory."
[03:13] <Reinhard> "Are you sure your pokemon appreciate being dismissed as weaker than you!?"
[03:13] <Camellia> "Kuji, sit down." Camellia levels a disapproving look at the man.

[03:16] <Jamal> "Kuji, consider that not all of us are in this business for the same reason; what you value in your companions isn't the same as another." he says rather sagely as he sips tea, slowly draining the large collection.
[03:16] <Reinhard> "I will never be lucky enough to claim that. Dragons respect a show of strength from their tamers, but in the end you must find a way to outwit them or exploit their weakness."
[03:17] <Jamal> "Our destination?" he laughs. "Funny you'd ask that, to challenge a gym."
06[03:17] * Camellia nods. "With a frail body as mine, it's much safer for me to have a team of strong pokemon. I fight by their side, but it is incredibly risky, as you know. Our circumstances differ, Kuji."
[03:17] <Reinhard> "Not just one!"
06[03:17] * Camellia winces. "Yes, I've been roped into this...pokemon le- more than one?!"
