eventually, emily molded her passion for writing into a newfound dream of rapping. quitting her vollyball team for extra time, emily got a job and paid for a new computer and some second-hand recording equipment. she speant the next two years producing a few songs (usually with one of her friends singing a few lines) and making remixes. however, this was just for fun at the time and knowing she wanted to take it a step furthur. with some encouragement from her friends, she sent an email audition to a few companies in korea -- having gotten into the kpop scene in middle school.

at the age of 17, emily became a pledis trainee but remained in canada for the majority of the first year to finish her schooling (apart from breaks and the summer). afterwards, she moved to korea and continued to train full time.
