  1. >As you sat in Luna's room, playing together in your "band", you couldn't help but feel more at home than now. Luna was the kind of girl who didn't care what it did - it was how you did it.
  2. >While Luna was rocking out on her guitar, flicking the strings with the simplest of ease, you were banging on the drums, a full piece set. Tapping your foot on the Bass drum, while you were rapidly flicking your wrists, beating down on the snare.
  3. >You two were technically a 2 person band, but you never played outside the comfort of The Loud House. Whenever you asked Luna why, she just shrugged and said the same thing every time.
  4. >"It's just better to play for the ones you love dude." That was another thing. You had feelings for Luna, not for life feelings, but just feelings, y'know?
  5. >Luna didn't feel the same way though. She considered you a friend and band partner, and only as a friend and band partner. You had shown signs in the past that made her well known to the fact that you liked her, but she never followed up on anything.
  6. >When you two finished you're current jam session, Luna put her guitar over her back, and walked over towards you and the drum set.
  7. >"That sounded so AWESOME dude! That may have been our best jam yet!" It made you happy to see Luna so excited, so you offered to treat her.
  8. >"Hey Lun, wanna go grab a bite? I'll pay~." That got her attention. Free food was always a way to any girls heart.
  9. >"Yeah let's do it bro! There's this new pizza joint down the street, we gotta go try it!"
  10. Luna puts her guitar on her bed while you place your drumsticks in your pockets. "Um, you taking those bro? I mean we can't really play without a set."
  11. >"Oh you never know. An opportunity could walk in front of us any minute."
  12. >"You know, thats a good idea bro. Here, let me just get the straps on my guitar."
  13. With that, you and Luna made your way downstairs and out the front door, off to have some good Ol'fashioned pizza.
  14. >As you and Luna were walking down to the new pizza place, Luna started up a conversation.
  15. >"Hey bro, what do you wanna do after we eat? I'm not in the mood for just goin' back to my place while we're already out."
  16. >You thought about this, and said to yourself that it would be a waste to just spend this great day on pizza and then leave it.
  17. >"I dunno Luna, what do you feel like doing? I never really thought you'd want to do something after. Maybe check out the mall?"
  18. >Her eyes lit up to the word mall, as all teenage girls do. "EEEHHH! That'd be awesome! Plus, it would be cool to get some last minute shopping done because tomorrows a very special day bro!"
  19. >You almost stopped dead right where you were. Shit, you thought, tomorrow was Luna's birthday. You totally fucking forgot. And you think that you and Luna should be dating, you can't even remember her goddamn birthday.
  20. >"Y-yeah, I didn't forget what tomorrow was. Its... Arbor Day, right?"
  21. >Luna gives you a puzzled look and starts laughing. "Aw you're funny bro. Like you'd ever forget what tomorrow was."
  22. >You weren't completely screwed though. You had the perfect gift idea for Luna, a brand new Alesis Synthesizer Keytar, the best of the brand. Luna has always talked about wanting to own and play a Keytar, but they were extremely hard to find and cost around $200 for one. Luckily, you've saved up enough cash to buy her one, it was just a point of buying it without her seeing it. You'd have to think of how to do that over pizza.
  23. >You two finally reached the pizza parlor at 4, which meant you had 5 hours to go buy the Keytar. That seemed like more than enough time.
  24. >"So Luna, what will you be having?" You could see this wasn't any regular pizza joint, more like an entire restaurant dedicated to pizza. While having the simple pies like Cheese, Pepperoni, and the works, there was Cheeseburger pizza, Macaroni and Cheese pizza, and Chocolate Pizza - Not really pizza, but Cookie dough as the bread and Chocolate sauce with sprinkles for the cheese. "Damn that looks good."
  25. >You could see Luna was thinking the same thing as she was literally drooling over the diabetic pizza. "Could we get one slice to share? I don't think I could handle that much chocolate."
  26. >"Whatever you want, Miss." She rolled her eyes and punched your arm, and you both laughed it off. You went up to the register and ordered.
  27. >"Hello. Could I get 4 slices of Cheese pizza, and one slice chocolate?"
  28. >"Would you like anything to drink with that?" The cashier asked. Suddenly Luna ran up towards to counter with an insane look in her eyes.
  29. >"I'll take a Coke!" She said surprisingly fast. Luna wasnt allowed to have soda at her house after one time where she drank 6 cans in one day and had to go to the dentist for cavities. 7 cavities.
  30. >"Yes, 1 coke and I'll take a Ginger Ale. That will be all."
  31. >After paying for and receiving your food, you and Luna sat down at a table outside, where she immediately started chugging down the Coke. You had an idea to mellow her out - with the only thing she would listen to. You pulled out your drumsticks, thinking to yourself - Thank god I brought these along.
  32. >As Luna was scoffing down her pizza slice, you started to think of a beat. Well, you did know that one of yours and Luna's favorites songs was "Don't Stop Me Now" by Queen, maybe that would be good enough. You raised her hand up at Luna, and she stopped eating for a second to recognize you.
  33. >"Hey Luna, you uh, havin' a good time so far?" Luna's eyes lit up - she got exactly what you were talking about. She pulled her guitar around her waist and tuned it a bit, jumped out of her chair, and placed one foot on top of it. Although you had no piano for the opening intro, Luna played a soft set of strings to reenact that.
  34. >As she played those first few notes, a few of the customers and passerby who were outside starting staring at you and Luna. When you looked at her, however, she had the face of fear. She looked like she was ready to put her guitar back away, but you weren't letting that happen. You started to clap your drumsticks together to the beat, and she looked back at you and nodded. At this point, the intro was finished, and now the verse started. Although neither of you were singing, you could tell by the looks of the people watching you were doing a damn well fine job of playing this song. Using your wooden chair as your drum, and the metal table as your cymbal, you had the perfect drum replica right at your hands.
  35. >You could tell Luna was getting really into it, especially when the high notes of the song came. If only you two were at a Queen concert, watching him sing that famous line - "About a woah-o-o-o-o-EXPLODE!" Luna was in entirely different world at this point, especially when the guitar solo came. You could tell that she put every fiber in her being into trying to be perfect with that solo. And she did a damn well good job at it. As you looked at her face, you could see her crying with tears of joy, as this was her first ever performance outside of her house. The people were cheering her and you on, but Luna deserved most of the recognition.
  36. >As you two finally reached the finale, Luna slowed down, playing another soft set of strings for those final few notes. Ending it with a final G-string, the crowd you two had managed to collect burst out into cheers, applause, and overall thanking you two for the amazing performance. Some people were even willing to pay you two to play more. Luna was speechless - she didn't know what to think at all. You both thanked those who wanted to see more, but you two said you wanted to sit down and finish eating, but thanked everyone for their kind words.
  37. >Luna was still wiping tears off her face, and you stared at her as she did this. She pulled out her chair, but before sitting in it, ran over to you and wrapped her arms around you, almost toppling you over. You returned the hug by doing the same, and you two kind of stood there for a while. Finally, Luna pulled back, placed her hands on your arms, and started going ecstatic.
  38. >"Could you believe what just happened! We just played for an actual crowd! That was amazing! All those people were willing to listen to us play our music! And its all thanks to you!" She removed her arms away from you, and brought them close to herself, and started spinning in circles while repeating the same words -"Oh thank you oh thank you oh thank you!"
  39. >You just shrugged but was caught off guard as she leaned in close to your face and planted her lips right on top of yours. This caught you by a major surprise. You almost fell back, still trying to take in what was happening. When it finally snapped into your head that you were getting kissed, you placed your arms around her waist and returned it. Luna held it for a good 5 seconds before breaking it, and you were left in a daze.
  40. >"Thats your gift from me bro. For helping me finally break outta my shell." You both went quiet after that, and before the situation got awkward, you asked Luna, "Wanna try that chocolate pizza I bought?" Her face beamed up again, as you split the slice in half and gave it to Luna.
  41. >After you both spent a good few minutes taking in just how good this pizza was, you cleaned up and threw out your trash. You walked back to the table, nodded to Luna, and spoke.
  42. >"So, how about we hit up the mall now? I think someone needs a return gift~."
  43. >Yeah, just gimme on-------nne second bro." Luna was currently using a plastic knife to etch her's and your name into the wall of the parlor. "Its so we never forget where we first played. Now are we going to the mall or what? You can't keep a rockstar waiting." Luna said as she punched you in the arm in a playful manner. You both laughed it off and began to walk down the street into the mall, where you would finally be able to get Luna her gift.
  44. >When the two of you entered the mall, the first thing you noticed was the various looks people were giving you and Luna. When you first thought it was your weird style of clothing, Luna wearing all purple with a skull on it, and you wearing a beanie with the same skull symbol, you then realized that it was the guitar Luna was carrying on her back and the drumsticks in your pockets. That was a little fishy in anyone's book.
  45. >As you walked past the various stores, you couldn't help but notice Luna eyeballing almost everything that either had to do with music, had to do with girl's fashion, or was just overly expensive. Overtime she would ask you to go check something out, you rolled your eyes and told her what exactly she was wanting, like for example, a $400 purse. Luna seemed to want things for the sake of wanting them, but you could deal with it.
  46. >As you got further into the mall, the amount of people looking at you kept increasing more and more. Then you started hearing whispers. Things like "Is that?" and "Thats the one from the video!" Luna seemed oblivious to these statements, hell it looked like she'd never been in a mall before.
  47. >You were finally in the area of the music store. It was just a matter of getting the gift without Luna seeing it. Luckily, there happened to be a Hot Topic directly across from the store. Luna wasn't the goth type to buy the dark and brooding type stuff there, but she loved the little knick-knacks and figures they got there.
  48. >"Hey Luna, wanna go buy something from Hot Topic?" You asked her. She snapped out of her trance, and her eyes lit up with glee.
  49. >"Heck yeah dude, I've been meaning to buy some new stuff that came out." Suddenly her expression dropped. "Oh wait, crap. I'm broke." She started to put her head down, but this is just what you wanted.
  50. >You pulled out a 20 dollar bill and handed it to her. "Go buy whatever. But give me your guitar, I'm gonna go get it checked out at Rockin' Rollers." Luna obliged, handing over the guitar. She gave you a quick peck on the cheek, and said before leaving, "Keep this up and there will be more where that came from~" Wow, 2 kisses in one day. She must really be happy right now. With that situation handled, you headed inside the store, when suddenly you were swarmed by people.
  51. >People were pushing and shoving in a crowd around you, some trying to snap pictures of you, others asking you various questions.
  52. >"Hey you're the guy with the drumsticks!"
  53. >"Oh my god! Please play me a song!"
  54. >"Where's the girl with the sick guitar skills?"
  55. >You could barely make out what people are saying as you back your way out of the store. You take Luna's guitar off your back and play a string, loud enough to make everyone stop talking for a few seconds. Just as you do this, who walks outside of Hot Topic but Luna, holding a bag with 2 boxes in it. She walks up to you, completely oblivious to the crowd of people in front of you.
  56. >"Dude this is awesome! Look who I managed to snag!" She pulls out two boxes labelled Funko Pop, those tiny figures with the little black eyes. One was of Spiderman, the classic T.V. show version, and the second was of the character Cell from Dragon Ball Z. "Unfortunately the Nito one didn't come out yet, but I'm making sure I get that one!" Luna turns around and finally notices the enormous amount of people in front you both. Luna backs up behind you and places her hands on your shoulders, and says to you "What do they want?"
  57. >The crowd of people started cheering and clapping for you and Luna, and it was finally time to ask. "How exactly do you all know the two of us?" The crowd looked at you with confusion, like it was obvious. One person pulled out his phone and showed a video titled "Teens Ode to Queen" that apparently was spread around town like wildfire. It was the show you and Luna played at the pizza shop, from start to finish. And these people were fans who were eager for more. They were shouting in unison that they wanted you two to play them a song. You and Luna were nervous. There was at the very least a hundred people there, and you only played for like ten at the pizza shop. But there was a problem, you didn't have a set to play with.
  58. >"We're sorry guys, but without a drum set, I can't play anything. I actually just came here to uh, buy something. So could I please like, get through?"
  59. >The crowd was pushed to the sides by the owner of the store, whom you happened to know. "So, I here these fans want you to play a song for them, and you have no set? Tell you what kid, since I know you, and I'm nice, you buy something and you can use the drum set thats on display. Sound like a deal?"
  60. >You looked over to Luna, who was in another trance, and was practically drooling on your shoulder. You bumped her a little bit and looked at her with a face that said, Should we do it?
  61. >She turned you around, put her arms around you, looked up to your face and said, "Its whatever you want bro. You don't need to do this for me." You hugged Luna back, then turned around and told the audience.
  62. >"Welp, the show must go on!" Cheers erupted from the crowd of people. The owner of the store came up to you and spoke. "Ok, you're gonna have to give my guys 10 minutes to set up. Luna, i suggest you go do the same, while me and drummer boy here go figure out that purchase."
  63. >Luna was busy tuning her guitar while you picked out the Keytar for her birthday tomorrow. It was the perfect gift for her, and it came in purple. You handed over the cash for it and asked for it to be put in a case, so Luna couldn't see it.
  64. >The set was finally done being set up as you walked back over to Luna. For some odd reason, there was a keyboard next to your set. Just then, a huge thought came to your mind. "Luna, we don't know what to play! Oh god this is bad, we can't play the same thing as the pizza shop!"
  65. >Luna was perfectly chill about the whole situation. "Relax bro, lets just play the song from our warmup this morning. We did pretty good with that." Yeah, you did do pretty good with that, you thought.
  66. >You were finally ready to perform. In front of at least a hundred people, no less. "Alright Rockin' Rollers, are you ready to ROCK!" Luna shouted a loud as she could. "Today, we'll be playing for you 'Livin' On A Prayer' by Bon Jovi!" The crowd got even louder, applauding with glee.
  67. >You started out the song with the slow keyboard solo, getting faster as the song went on. Finally Luna joined in, and you started the drumming part. Luna started singing the opening line, "Once upon a time not so long ago". Then the real beat kicked in.
  68. >Luna started singing away, her voice a much higher version of Jon Jovi, but still good enough to be singing. Luna was really getting into it, having fun just like Bon Jovi did in their music video. After the verse was finished, she moved her microphone over to you, and you both started singing the chorus.
  69. >"We've gotta hold on to what we've got. It doesn't make a difference if we make it or not. We've got each other and that's a lot. For love we'll give it a shot." You and Luna felt synergy with each other, with her high voice complimenting your lower voice, and vice versa. You never realized how much the lyrics represented you and Luna as people. Finally, the magical part of the song started.
  70. >"WHOA, we're half way there. WOOOAH, livin' on a prayer!" As you both sang the rest of the chorus, Luna went up alongside your shoulder, feeling closer than ever to you. You couldn't help but feel more alive as you were singing for all these people, who were clapping along to the beat of the song. Luna was having the best time of her life, as she was jumping around the stage, singing as loud as she could. As you guys continued on with the song, and reached the second chorus, Luna looked you straight in the eyes, the biggest smile on her face. Then came her guitar solo.
  71. >It was a short one, and there was something you needed to do before that short window of time disappeared. Just like how Jon Jovi was flying around in his video, you picked up Luna by her waist, lifted her up on her shoulders, and she freaked out. Not in a bad way, but more of a "THIS IS AWESOME" freakout. You put her down, ran back, picked up your sticks, and played the final stretch of the song. You two played your goddamn hearts out in that finale. Luna finished the song by sliding down on her knees as she strung the final note.
  72. >The crowd burst out into applaud, cheering and whistling to you and Luna. The size of the crowd seemed to have tripled in size, as people from all around the mall came to see you two play. You let Luna bask in her glory for a while - she deserved it. You went over to the shop owner and grabbed the Keytar, and he patted you on the back, saying "Well done kid. Not only did you help me, you've helped your friend break outta her shell." You saw Luna push her fists into the air, cheering on with the crowd. You walked up to her and placed your hand in hers, and you both cheered on as one person, not just two.
  73. >After the crowd was done thanking you for the performance, and you thanking them for watching you guys play. As you two walked out of the store, Luna noticed the large guitar case you were carrying. "What did you buy anyway? Looks pretty big."
  74. >Oh just some new drum parts for my set. Felt like changing some things on it." Luna sulked a tiny bit, probably because she thought it was a gift for her. Luckily she believed you. It didn't matter anyway, you would give her the gift tomorrow. Right now the both of you left the mall and headed to her house.
