  1. Time for an investigation.

  3. We've had a few reports from Barradoor regarding this guy, though outside of a few choice words on messages, I've just considered him to be acting IC, just in a really boring way.
  4. I learned today however that there is actually some kind of grudge war coming from Anshar's player regarding the Tower, which reaches back about six months ago.
  5.  
  6. This is the shortened version:
  7. Arcane Tower group some time ago imprisons Torvas in Spellhold. Anshar was one of the only people, if perhaps the only person with access to Spellhold.
  8. Anshar left him there for three days without any kind of interaction.
  9. On the third day, Anshar decided it was time to execute/Killbash Torvas.
  10. Silver and Jenna's player decide three days no RP then getting killbashed is pretty bad, so offer Torvas a way out with a lens.

  12. Torvas escapes, basically. This is when the OOC starts.
  13.  
  14. Anshar from here apparently engaged in some pretty abusive tells with Silver/Ace's player, calling Jenna's player a bitch, as well as slinging some hate at Silver's player too. More or less calling them out for not playing their characters correctly.

  16. Ace then says he took some time away from the Tower, a few months to let Anshar cool off.

  18. He then says this :

  20. "Then, I left the Tower to give him time to cool down both IG and OOCly.
  21. Month later, I try to apologize OOCly (Im Canadian, thats what we do). And he goes on (Swearing spree again) about how I didn't play my character right, nor did Jenna and that Jennas a bitch and all that crap"

  25. "And every now and then I get a "Snuggybear" or "douchebag" in tells."

  27. I asked him when the last time he got said tell was, and he claims around January time.
  28.  
  29. Anshar's play pattern at the moment is more or less : Log on, write a snarky message on the Arcane Tower board, log off. Or maybe he walks to Cordor before circling back to the Tower to write more messages. Either way, his prime focus seems to be engaging obsessively in message board warfare.

  32. Could we get a tell check on this guy from the past few months to see if anything of the above has been said, or if he has been throwing his toys at other players please?

  34. If this checks out that he has been mouthing at other players, I'm in favour of banning him pending an appeal with an an apology/reasons he should be allowed back.

  49. Non-biased opinion; I think this guy is taking this OOC, and might need a lil' break to cool down. Especially if it's persisted over months.

  62. If it's objectively true that he's randomly sending tells to people calling them douchebags, please ban him until he can prove that he'll behave.

  64. As Quill said, if it's been months and he's still upset, he's not going to just improve of his own accord. And frankly we just don't need a guy like that around, and I don't want us to have the overhead of managing his behavior.

  76. Can confirm I had an uncomfortable message from him in tells a while back when I asked the player how he was doing. [We used to get on quite well.] Started ranting about how the 'whores' had taken over the Arcane Tower and how no-one likes him anymore. Seems to be some serious IC/OOC seperations going on there.

  273. With what you pulled, I can't really go ahead and ban this guy. I can try to have a talk with him, and make the point that such behaviour is unacceptable, but there's no evidence he's guilty (even though I strongly suspect he is).

  289. I ran into Calad IG PC side. They were ~Very~ vocal about Amacceam, and what a threat they were IC'ly. Also seems they have been leaving notes in some of the settlements calling her out and trying to stir action against the PC.

  291. I found it very, strange, that the first words from the Character after a greeting was - We need to get Amacceam out of the tower. Then I remembered this thread. I did not see any actions while IG that were against the rules, but, I wanted to bring this up in reference to the duel boxing issue mentioned above. As I am fairly convinced with the attitude of the PC presented to me, that Anshar and Calad one in the same.

  323. I killed Anshar after IC months of him harassing Amacceam's faction, and calling her whore ETC, completely IC reason. Then as I was walking to the tower, with no hostile his friend Jedidah assaulted Amacceam out of wharftown with a timestop hellball gruin, out of absolutely no RP or Hostile. They are notorious for a skype group / metagaming.

  331. He claimed that he was there to see Ama kill Anshar, however he was in the merchantile when it happened. I have put them both on No tells. Witnesses to them being in there as I killed Anshar would be Roronoa HunterZ and Maeva Lyons.

  358. So that's two minutes after the fact, he didn't see the PvP, he probably shouldn't even know that Anshar died, so metagaming is a factor too.

  370. I figured this was Void's case but I know the fellow is busy with work. If he okay's it I'll sit them down and give them a talking to. What would you suggest for reasonable punishments for the metagame and the PvP?

  383. Keep in mind any action we take is to adjust behavior. I'd rather you speak to him and get a clear idea of a)if he understands that what they did was wrong and b) if you trust him not to do it again. The punishment should reflect what conclusions you draw on those two points.

  385. If Jedidiah is lying to DMs and has a history of PvP issues, I personally would have a difficult time trusting anything he says, and would probably be pretty harsh as a result.

  405. I dealt with Anshar, I told him to vent to his friends through skype, not through tells. I also sternly warned him against being hostile OOC with the players mentioned. If he steps out of line, I will give him a ban (he's aware of this). As for Calad, well, we have no way of proving it's not him (thus far).
