  1. There's the SS hotfix recently announced (after it had already gone into affect, but that's beside the point). It's a pretty huge change/nerf. It's not simply a matter of loss damage. It will change our rotations. It will change our stat weights. It will change our glyphs. It will change out itemization. It will change our actual spec. So on and so forth.
  2. Something like this isn't new to Unholy.
  3.
  4. Everything about the spec from gearing to speccing to glyphing completely changes each patch. Each and every one.
  5.
  6. First it was the SS nerf, which led to the rise of Unholy Obliterate.
  7. Then it was the Obliterate nerf, which led to the rise of the 10 second rotation.
  8. Then it was the SS buff, which led to yesterday's spec.
  9. Now it's this.
  10.
  11. But at least in the past we've known in advance. We knew about the original SS nerf back in the day, and were able to figure out the Obliterate shift. We knew about the Obliterate nerf, and were able to figure out the 10 second rotation shift. We knew about the SS buff, and were able to figure out yesterday's information.
  12. We knew, and could prepare - not just gear wise, but figuring out what in the world we are supposed to do once things change since things were never the same and never intuitive.
  13. But hotfix? After a single day?
  14. Being the most volatile spec is annoying, but isn't this taking it a bit too far?
  15.
  16. I can understand the new SS being too strong. It was. But it wasn't that ridiculous. DKs weren't heads above anyone else. It wasn't a change which needed to be done immediately without word, minutes before a lot of guilds started raiding.
  17. It wasn't a change which needed to be done a day after the patch hit, which had already turned the spec's world upside down.
  18. It wasn't a change which couldn't have been figured out during the months of the new SS being on the PTR and receiving nothing but buffs.
  19.
  20. Nerfing a spec is fine, and necessary in many cases.
  21. Completely changing a spec and its entire playstyle is a bit more difficult to accept, especially if its been done to the same spec time and time again.
  22. But doing so without a word, hours after a change just as drastic (but which we had forewarning about)?
  23. Yeah.
