- The Nobility Limitation Act
- Overview
- The issue of the establishment of noble ranks within the /sen/ate has been a pressing issue during recent election cycles, and this piece of legislation is an attempt to placate both sides of the issue, and reach some kind of middle-ground. The primary goal of this action is to grant every registered /sen/ator a 'baron' title (The only title which has been recently suggested/thrown around commonly), that they customize however they see fit.
- This new title will have no extra privledges or authority, and in essence, are only for aesthetic/fun purposes. No new noble titles can be created (An example being duke, king, emperor, etc.), and the default rank can never be given any extra powers.
- Individual /sen/ators can opt out of being given this title if requested, and besides not having an official title, there are no disadvantages or advantages for opting out of it.
- To summarize, this bill is a compromise intended to stop the eventual fight over nobility before it really happens. It allows those who are interested in noble titles purely for aesthetic and entertainment purposes to get it, while ensuring those titles become nothing more than simple, non-senate affecting titles.
- Definitions
- 1. A registered /sen/ator shall be defined as any /sen/ator who has been assigned official seats by his party.
- Credit goes to Comrade Chairman for writing this bill.
