  3. So today we'll talk about the game "Elysian Shadows", developed by the "Elysian Shadows" team.

  8. The creation of the game engine of ES started in the attic of the parents of Falco Girgis, the game founder. He first began to develop an engine exclusively for the famous and well known Dreamcast, from Sega, he then turned to other newer platforms. The game will indeed be available on PC, MAC, LINUX, OUYA, DREAMCAST, ANDROID and IOS.
  9. Falco and his best friend, Tyler Rogers, had the idea to film themselves during the development of the game to put the videos on Youtube. Their videos have attracted great attention from the community of independent players. The "Adventure in Game Development" series is born. This series has allowed fans to have a look throughout the game's development process since its early beginning. Their series is a huge success, and the ES team has now grown. Today, it consists of 7 people and here is a quick overview of it:

  17. And last Leandro Tokarevski, graphic designer.

  25. Good evening! Once upon a time, a very dark night, but like very dark and all… Julien and his friends were walking around, when suddenly an artifact appeared.

  31. Let's be serious and look more closely at what gives us the story of ES.
  32. A large and long-running conflict between magic and technology reign in a world long ago. Magic belongs only to the faithful followers of the Creator with a capital C, while people of society must rely on their advances in technology to survive.

  34. As Indiana Jones, it was after the discovery of an ancient artifact, found in ancient ruins, that Julien and his friends are thrown in the middle of the conflict. Their mission, to unravel the mystery of ancient civilizations before destruction and chaos reigns.

  37. Our companions are looking for adventure, in fact they are on the trail of the world and lost civilizations of ES.

  39. In the world of ES you will be able to kindly wander and explore diverse and varied landscapes. Villages, towns and plenty of ruins and dungeons await you.

  41. The exploration will take several biomes, such as mountains, forests, deserts, swamps, and so on. I want to warn you, the ruins are an ode from old forgotten technologies but this is nothing compared to the monsters that keep secrets, older than the world itself, so be careful.

  45. Nothing more interesting in a fight that combines the speed of an action game and the complexity of an RPG, well that’s at least what the ES team wants to accomplish. They created a battle engine mixing two different but very attractive styles. It will be possible, during your EPIC fights, to interact with the environment. With the rigid body physics engine, your spells will be even more impressive. You can improve your character to an even greater experience. In fact, you will have a skill tree along with a class system, which will add depth and strategy during your confrontations with your enemy.

  48. The ES team has worked hard to create a variety of different characters that all have a different personality. The scenario is formed around the interaction with NPCs. The developers have made more credible NPC by improving the scripts. NPCs in ES will be more endearing and dialogues will be more convincing.
  49. A little extra that the ES team is offering us is the change of behaviour of NPCs in relation to a specific event and depending on the time of day.

  53. The audio engine of the game has a 3D sound for music and sound effects, transitions between songs will be smooth and the music will change depending on the environment and your actions.
