Released in 2008 for PS2 and developed and published by Atlus, Persona 4 is chronologically the fifth game in the long running Shin Megami Tensei: Persona series. You play as an anime who recently moves to a new town and has to manage between daily average teen life and near-death dungeon crawling. Persona 4 is part JRPG, part dating sim, and part Hanna-Barbera mystery show (complete with talking mammal). The game does a surprising job of blending all these mechanics into a single cohesive experience that’s further complimented by its top-notch writing.

This is going to be a blind playthrough of a JRPG, but before you walk out the door in disgust, I’d like to let you know that I do have guides (Admiral H.
