[20:02] <Shawyun_Sariri> Alright, Friday the 12nd.  We begin this session in the hotel or hostel or what have you that you've been in this week.  It's around 8 PM, and Rosetta knows this is around the time the doll locked in the box starts moving.
06[20:06] * Rosetta is in her room waiting on the others, sitting on her bed and kicking her legs idly as she holds onto the box in her lap.
06[20:06] * Chase glances at Rosetta.
06[20:06] * Chase has somehow arrived in that one split second.
[20:06] <Rosetta> "Heya."
06[20:07] * Genevieve arrives, carrying a napping Meowth in her arms. "Did it start yet?"
[20:07] <Rosetta> Has it?
[20:08] <Shawyun_Sariri> Thud.
[20:08] <Chase> "What now, Party Rock in the house tonight?"
[20:08] <Shawyun_Sariri> It jumps a bit in her lap.
[20:08] <Chase> "Seriously though, why haven't you stabbed that thing yet. Corbin did."
01[20:08] <Saryx> "Hey there, Razor..." Saryx calls in as he follows in after Gen. He's quick to jump back once it starts moving. "... Maaan, you weren't kidding. That thing really is acting up!"

[20:09] <Shawyun_Sariri> Thud thud thud.
[20:09] <Rosetta> "Think I should open it up? Make sure we've got someone guarding all windows and other exits."
[20:10] <Shawyun_Sariri> It sounds like knocking from the inside of a coffin.
06[20:10] * Rosetta has her pokemon strewn throughout the room, including birds perched on the windowsill.
06[20:10] * Genevieve closes the door and stands in front of it. "What, exactly, are we trying to figure out with this thing? Voodoo is really closer to your field than any of ours, Rose."
[20:11] <Rosetta> "I dunno, I was hopin' Chase could get a good look at the Aura of whoever's controlling this, for one. See if it changed any from before..."
[20:12] <Chase> "I doubt it, but Lessee."
06[20:12] * Chase slides his aura vision on. "You'll prolly need to let it out of the box..."
[20:12] <Shawyun_Sariri> The thumping stops, now it's a scratching sound.
[20:12] <Rosetta> "Okay, on your guard then, everyone." Rosetta pops the box open and snatches at the doll within.
[20:12] <Shawyun_Sariri> When you first open the box, it's dark, completely dark, like a shadow coats the interior
[20:13] <Genevieve> "Off to a good start."
06[20:13] * Rosetta doesn't really have time to think about that; she was in the middle of the plugning-her-hand-into-the-box-to-grab-the-thing motion even as she was opening the box with her other hand.

[20:13] <Shawyun_Sariri> Granted if Rosetta -does- grab at it, she'll pull it out, yes.

[20:14] <Shawyun_Sariri> The little thing screams like an injured animal as it flails around in your grasp.  It seems to have cannibalized the automatic parts that were installed in it to armor itself.

[20:15] <Shawyun_Sariri> It's even got two little metallic knives it's made, but it's trapped in your grasp entirely at the moment.
[20:15] <Shawyun_Sariri> The aura hasn't changed, Chase.  This thing looks like it's covered in soot, grey dark miserable little thing.

[20:24] <Chase> "Holy shit that thing is bloodthirsty. If you guys could FEEL this."
[20:25] <Genevieve> "Yes. Or whoever made it will track it down."
[20:25] <Chase> "Nevermind what a whole room of them might be capable of..."
[20:25] <Rosetta> "Hey Chase, can you sense what direction the guy controlling this thing is in?"
[20:25] <Genevieve> "On the other hand if you dissambled it, you might be able to figure out how it works and then jurryrig the next one you find to trace it back to the controller. Being optimistic, of course."
[20:26] <Rosetta> "Or do some sorta trace thingy, yeah."
[20:28] <Chase> "I doubt it, but..."

[20:29] <Chase> "It's not like there's some kind of arrow pointing away from it..."

06[20:34] * Chase looks horrified.
[20:34] <Rosetta> "Oh that's just shiny." Electricity crackles visibly around Rosetta and courses into the thing.
[20:35] <Shawyun_Sariri> It screams in pain as its clothen bits and hairs ignite from the voltage.  The glowy bead eyes pop from the heat.
[20:35] <Shawyun_Sariri> It flails its last, drops the knives, and goes limp
06[20:35] * Chase breathes a sigh of relief.
[20:35] <Chase> "I heard that goddamn music."
[20:35] <Rosetta> "Music?"
[20:36] <Chase> "The same shit that played in the last video Corbin left when Dandyman appeared."
[20:36] <Rosetta> "Oh, so it's his little plaything, huh?"
[20:36] <Genevieve> "The crazy dolls related to the crazy doll-man? Everything makes sense!"
[20:36] <Chase> "And an order for it... Something seemed to be able to hear through it. He wanted the doll to try to escape since he apparently knew you left it alone on Fridays."

[20:37] <Rosetta> "There are so many of them."
[20:37] <Chase> "If it IS him, then this is just fucking great."
[20:37] <Chase> "I dunno, maybe he can't replace them easy."
06[20:38] * Chase looks at the thing's little mask.
06[20:38] * Rosetta starts disassembling the parts she can by hand, carefully. Anything that looks too delicate for this operation she doesn't touch.
[20:38] <Shawyun_Sariri> Seems it used strands of red cloth to make what would look like lines of blood from the eyes.
06[20:39] * Saryx had flinched back at that last bout of screaming. "I'm guessing 'cause this one was with us. ... But that doesn't make much sense since he can hear through 'em anyways. Not unless we're missing something here..."
06[20:39] * Chase recovers his composure a bit, just staring at the thing.
[20:39] <Rosetta> "Yeah, but it's more valuable here and spying on us than escaped, yeah?"
01[20:39] <Saryx> Saryx lets go of the thing so Razor can disassemble the thing as she pleases.
[20:40] <Rosetta> "So unless there's something hidden in this one in particular..."
[20:40] <Chase> "Goddamn..."
[20:40] <Chase> "We better watch out, we might have just gotten his attention."
[20:40] <Chase> I'm gonna need to send out a word of warning to Kent, and Kiara, Nick, Zeke...

[20:40] <Shawyun_Sariri> The clothing doesn't really have much interesting
06[20:41] * Chase already gets his phone and starts sending texts.
[20:41] <Shawyun_Sariri> but as you pick apart you notice something rather solid in the crisp remains of its interior
01[20:41] <Saryx> "I'm just guessing, but maybe there's something he can only get out of 'em in person? ... And yeah, don't they have whole storerooms full of these things?"
[20:41] <Rosetta> "Yeah, you do that."
01[20:41] <Saryx> "That... Could end up real bad if all the rest of 'em started acting up over there."
[20:41] <Shawyun_Sariri> The burnt remains of what you assume was some sorta ritualistic tag, and a small, metal spherical device.
[20:41] <Genevieve> "I thought the stored ones were broke."
[20:42] <Chase> "I ain't sure what they've done with them, honestly."
06[20:42] * Rosetta takes out the small metal sphere. "Hey Chase, aura check?" She holds it up.
[20:42] <Chase> "But I'm sure as hell letting them know there's a problem."
06[20:42] * Chase looks up, turning aura back on.
[20:42] <Rosetta> "And let them know to look for these in the dolls."
[20:42] <Shawyun_Sariri> Zilch.
[20:42] <Chase> "Nope, dead."
[20:42] <Chase> "Alright, got it. Aaaaand sent."
[20:43] <Rosetta> "Good."
06[20:43] * Chase slidelocks his phone.
[20:43] <Chase> "I hope Zeke's sudden interest in these things ain't..." he trails off, thinking.
[20:43] <Genevieve> "Let me see that metal thing." She holds out her hand, propping the Meowth up like an infant.
06[20:43] * Rosetta nods and hands it over to Gen, then moves the lamp closer to her.

06[20:46] * Genevieve holds the ball up to eye level. "Oooh, maybe a GPS! That'd actually be clever."
[20:46] <Rosetta> "That doesn't give a reason to want this one doll back so badly."
01[20:46] <Saryx> "I'd say to try and crack it open real careful to find out, but that might also just really make it impossible to work with."
[20:46] <Genevieve> "Sure, but she'll probably need to dissect it to figure out anything specific."
[20:46] <Rosetta> "Yeah, let's leave it for a lab."
[20:46] <Shawyun_Sariri> The General actually texts back Chase [Those things? Yeah we heard a few banging on the door just the other night.  Spooky little things.  Haven't got around to sending out a memo on it.]
[20:47] <Shawyun_Sariri> [We incinerated them after they calmed down.]
06[20:48] * Chase texts again, reitering that he's sure these things are sending off information to an unknown source, possibly the one related to their recent report. He also lets Kent know he's glad everyone's alright.
[20:48] <Chase> "They burned the dolls on their end, looks like."
[20:48] <Chase> "But only after they started acting up."
[20:49] <Rosetta> "Huh, so they weren't dead then."
01[20:49] <Saryx> "Waaait..." Saryx is having a brain blast here. "This thing also got melded with Zeke's stuff! Maybe that's why he wants it back! If one metal monster was bad enough, imagine what they could do if that was what happened to all of the dolls!"

06[21:08] * Chase nods and goes past a bit.
[21:09] <Genevieve> "Oh it should work, it looks like the Writer's sword and shield, just spelled differently."
[21:09] <King_Tikiman> "Shark death." Genevieve, you think you're gonna need an interpreter for this.  It's pretty clear he doesn't exactly speak your language.

Slick, modern seat, table and booth designs, plenty of flat screen tv's including touch screen devices at every table and booth, two wide bars on either side, and a stage on the far end where it looks like they are setting up a video camera.  Peyote is on stage fiddling with the mic.

[21:14] <King_Tikiman> You see The Mood Wardens, or at least the girls, UPROAR isn't around, sitting at a booth.  Thomas is standing at the bar talking to Gabriela.  Shawyun, Ben and Ymir seem to be shooting the shit on the far end of another.
[21:14] <King_Tikiman> There's also a beautiful redhead in simple makeup and a simple but elegant little black dress. Hair down, brown eyes scanning the crowd.
06[21:15] * Saryx lowers his glasses just a bit and squints. "Waaait a second... You're that guy who was..." He raises his glasses back up to proper positioning. "... You know anyone who goes by 'Emile' by any chance?"

[23:17] <King_Tikiman> Things quiet down a bit as the match wrapped up, and people start chatting a bit more quietly.
06[23:17] * Chase gets on his phone and posts an open invite to affilitated explorer groups, for a party on the beach the next day at like, 3 or 4 pm. He also extends the invitation to Scarlet, noting it's okay if she's busy.

06[01:27] * Rosetta hops to face Ymir as well with a shrug and a smile, making sure not to drop the hat. She waves at Garcia as she drags Anna out.

06[01:29] * Rosetta finds a place to sit down too, wherever's closest, whether it be with Ymir and Gabriela or Thomas, Annette, and Gigi. Zoof can decide my fate.

"I texted you about it already, but we're going to be having a party on the beack tomorrow. About... 4pm, around abouts. Tomorrow's saturday, so that should be after work for you... you think you can make it?" he asks.

[02:04] <King_Tikiman> It's a lot of incoherant rambling and takes you a while to get a sense of bits. feeling like a jerk.  being angry for being the villian. crushing lonliness. loss and regret.  Sunshine ditched on her.
