  1. "Nothing but resentment filled the girl's mind, as she approached the castle. Not too long ago, Rhena had been dropped off; the people dropping her off had gave her one last pitiful look, before heading back into their vehicle. She wanted to say something, like, 'You should be thankful it's me, not you.' But they left immediately, and it was just her standing in a forest, alone. They had given her directions in the car, not wanting to stay a second sooner. She clenched her teeth. They were pathetic... Despite giving her pitiful looks, they only really cared about their own well-being. She was just a sacrifice. A part of her was glad, because this was just reconfirmation that people were awful, but at the same time, she resented them so much for how quickly they were willing to give her up without batting an eyelash. And to think, those were the nuns she grew up with all her life. Pausing briefly, she brought her hand to her chin; maybe they were relieved to have finally got rid of her. At this rate, if she had stayed, she was dead weight and bound to be thrown out of the orphanage. However, no one wanted to be that person to kick someone out, especially not a holy nun.

  3. Shaking her heads, she begun to move forward, heading straight towards the castle. She took her time with each step, prolonging her inevitable arrival, as fruitless as it was. Still, this let her get her thoughts in order. When she faced the demon lords, she didn't want to seem like a scared little human, as she felt like that would only make it worse. She needed to be bold, and not be like something they could break. She swallowed thickly, her hand trembling as it clung tightly to her pure white dress. 'You can do it...' She trembled more. 'What's there to fear?' Sweat formed on her neck. 'No...there was no way...' She had never even encountered a demon in her life, having been protected by nuns her whole life. How was she suppose to know what would happen? As pointless as life was, she didn't want to die right away!

  5. Stop...

  7. She snapped out of it, as the scene opened up before her eyes. A large castle awaited before her, and she had never seen anything so intricate. She was so used to the broken-down house she had spent all her life, she never expected to see something like this. Although, now that she thought of it, where else did she expect demons to live? Glancing around, she noticed how well-kept everything was, from the grass to the castle itself. For a moment, she forgot about her fear. Until, she approached the doors, and before her, she saw another girl, though only her back. She seem to be knocking on the door, and Rhena guessed that girl was just like her. The thought of talking to her briefly crossed her mind, instead Rhena decided to keep quiet and hang out in the back. This way, she could get a good look at the demons before they noticed her. That was the safest route. She felt a bit sorry for the girl. "

  9. "Stepping forward, a figured donned in a brown cloak, entered Equilibrium with a white wolf following closely behind them. The figure in question seemed confident in the way they strode effortlessly through the place, as if they had a destination and plan in mind. The wolf only reinforced that idea by how it seem to know exactly where its master was going, despite not even looking at them. The pair kept moving forward, catching a couple curious glances along the way, and finally, they halted. Right in front of a fruit vendor. The hooded figure seem to smile broadly, clashing the mysterious cool appearance they had before, and they started to jump up and down, pointing at the strawberries.
  10.
  11. "I would like to have some of those, sir! Thank you!" A feminine voice erupted from the hooded figure, taking a bag of strawberries from the vendor, while leaving the money on the stand. The figure turned briskly away, their pace picking up as they headed towards a nearby bench. The wolf's pace picked up in response as well, a concerned look seem to form on the wolf's face. Meanwhile, the hooded lady seem to be as carefree as ever, even whistling as she approached the bench. An odd contrast, however that would soon be explained, as they approached closer and closer to the bench. Certainly, there was a reason for the wolf's concerned look earlier, it was not just a matter of personality. Right before they reached the bench, the hooded lady lost her footing, tumbling forward. The strawberries she had just bought spilled everywhere, some crushed by the weight of her body. It almost looked like a murder scene with the red of the strawberries.
  12.
  13. "Ahhhh...!!!!" She yelped, the hood of her cloak falling down, revealing long pink curly stands of hair. The lady quickly readjusted herself, sitting up to look at what she caused. Her mouth was gaped, blue eyes widened, slightly red as if she was about to cry. But, she shook her head, and just let out a laugh to herself. Her wolf companion seem to scoff, shaking its head. 'You really did it this time, Fi. Now we've gone and left your brother for nothing.' A voice erupted, but this voice was one only Fi could hear. Fi only kept laughing in response, rubbing the back of her head sheepishly.
  14.
  15. 'Sorryyy... Sorry! I really did mess up this time, huh? Well, I guess we can just go get some more!' She smiled, rubbing the wolf's head. The wolf seem to not be having it, pulling his head away, growling at the girl after. Fi paused, tilting her head at the wolf. 'Beo...You do not need to be angry... We can get some more.' The wolf continued to growl. She sighed, but still a smile adorned her face, and she continued to ruffle the wolf's fur. 'Next time then.' She pulled her hand away, now looking over at the mess she had made. Strawberries were still everywhere, a bit of the red juice stained her cloak too, and there were some concerned glances sent her way.
  16.
  17. "Whoops..." She mumbled to herself, beginning to pick up the strawberries. There went her attempt to stay discreet... Her mother had been the one that recommended she hid herself, in case anyone had foul intentions. Now, she drew far too much attention to herself, and all she could do was shrug it off. Well, hopefully no one would recognize her as a princess, so at the very least, she could honor her mother's wishes. Picking up the last of the strawberries, she threw it in the bag, and she stood up from her spot. She looked like a mess with her hair all tangled up, and her cloak completely stained, not that she minded that much. She didn't really care that much for her appearance, but she felt like her mother wouldn't be so proud to see her in this state. She pulled her hood back up, walking briskly away, only to stop for a second to throw the crushed strawberries away, and continued onward, intending to leave the city.

  19. However, on her way to leave, she felt her attention captivated by an unknown creature. She gasped, covering her mouth to contain her excitement, stopping dead in her tracks in the process. She had never seen another creature like it, at least not in her land. She wanted to hug them, talk to them, even just stare at it. They were so cute!! She gazed at the red shell in awe, sparkles practically forming in her eyes as she stared. She was completely unaware of his companion, having only paid attention to the turtle. A faint growl could be heard behind her, a warning from her companion for the young Elf to get out of her daydream. But, those warnings would, of course, fall flat to the Elf's ears, as she continued to fawn over the turtle. "
