Leanne is stuck in a routine. Wake up, go to work, go back home, play vidya/watch anime, eat, sleep, repeat. Nothing ever changes and she’s fine with it as long as she can keep playing vidya and watching anime. Then Connie pops back into her life. She’s happy to see her but super confused, Connie is like a completely different person now. They hang out, and it’s fun. Leanne forgot how fun it is to hang out with a friend, it’s probably been years since she last had this kind of social contact. Connie wants to come over to her place, Leanne gets flustered and says no. It’s a mess, way too small, the landlord is a shit, etc, maybe next time. Connie can’t be stopped and drops by anyways. She laughs her ass off at all the anime shit but thinks it’s cool anyways. Spots Sailor Moon and gets nostalgic. End up reminiscing about childhood and stuff. Connie comments that Leanne really hasn’t changed a bit, which strikes a chord. Leanne says Connie changed so much. But they part ways, her place really was way too tiny. Promise to meet up again sometime in the week.
Few days later Connie pops up at her job again, super hyped. She says that because Leanne’s place is such a dump and she’s just hanging on someone else’s couch, they should move in together! BAM! Leanne did not see this coming at all, it’s so sudden. Her initial reaction is FUCK NO. A huge change like that can’t just be decided immediately. She’ll think about it. That night she spends her night like usual, watching anime. Decides to watch Sailor Moon. Thinks of Connie and her. She missed having a friend much more that she thought, even if it makes her an awkward mess. Better friend than her Link dakimakura at least. Calls her up the next day, she’s in. Good, cause she already found a place!
Turns out her lesbian friend found a guy in her art classes with an appartment available (plus she kinda wants Connie to get out so her girlfriend can move in). Seems like they can get moved by next week. This is all very overwhelming for Leanne.
