The wind that kissed her fingertips
Watching her hair blow
The sun brighter than yesterday
But dimmer than tomorrow
The flowers that sprung up
Dancing upon the ground
Soaking in the sunlight
That was shining all around
The blue and green engulfed
What she thought to be all white
Melting into clear color
Of puddles refreshing in the light
Animals free to wander
Forests and respectful homes
Sneakily sipping water
Dripping off the garden gnomes
Mud that welcomes feet
To its embracing hold
A sheet of bright colors
Replacing the wonderland of cold
People that roam in waters
Tickling to their skin
One puppy that gets dirty
As the other takes a swim
Crickets are now chirping
To Mother Nature’s song
That brings smiles to the people
A half a mile long
The creatures that woke up
Join the birds, and sing
Informing all the people
That it is finally Spring
