what kind of stuff should i be prepared for?
like technical questions, company specific questions

but like know the basics of mysql
like tables
and keys
also i got asked some networking questions
like when you type in a url, what actually happens
for you to get the page on your laptop
also some really basic questions like what is a class and a subclass
they never asked me to code anything in front of them, just describe things
also they asked me if i was for open-source
and the correct answer is yes
when used properly
cus bny mellon is embracing using open source libraries like apache hadoop, apache kafka
theres not too much proprietary tech
but you have to also say that theres a balance between using open source and keeping company secrets secret
so like ideally things should be completely transparent within the company, but the barrie between company and the outide has to be well-maintained
but that was a minor question
brush up on mysql
also you may want to lrn how hadoop works (hdfs and mapreduce)

i just did all the tutoiral stuff in my first few days
was basically yah go lrn some hadoop
and i go google how to hadoop
not much training
also the hadoop shiz was cu si was a big data intern
roles can vary
so hadoop probs only applicable if you wanna big data intern

How was your internship there?

i disliked the cubicles
also your internship experience will be vastly different from mine bc i was in boston
2 interns in boston vs 30 or so in nyc

the best thing about it was the people i met
not my immediate group but other people
i asked this asian dude to be my mentor and he gave me so much lifeadvice
also met the dude who does all the posters and photoshop for the building and he took me shopping to get professional clothes
and also is a side personal trainer so he wrote me workout plan
also we designed my business cards together and he printed me like 500 of them for free
and also introduced me to his tailor and go tme free tailoring
but these are very specific experiences that you probably wont have lol

absolutely zero technical questions
something like describe softdev life cycle, what do you do when a technical problem comes up, the 3 things people would describe you as
describe something you made better / faster / smarter / cheaper
