  1. Keroro Gunsou/Sergeant Keroro/Sgt. Frog repository, made on /m/. Updated periodically.
  2. [ver 2.11e, 9/4/2017 - Keroro Friends edition]

  4. --Sharing is HIGHLY, utmostly encouraged! Spread the word, you could really be helping someone!--
  5.
  6. ------- Manga scans and scanlations -------
  7. The first 195 chapters, and chapters 221, 222, and 224 through 238, are all that are currently known to be in English as of this writing.
  8.
  9. All 21 volumes of the original English release of the manga [thanks to anon for the heads up about the vols 18-21 release]:
  10.
  11. in DDL form:
  12. https://mega.co.nz/#!hxR2yADD!wwU1qQ8vWL6WHtYC9CNUSj7Fn7GZnD_XrFe1c40bZSM (volumes 1-10, in a batch)
  13. https://mega.co.nz/#!R0xXySwL!_49J-GPvme1ujvvJRL0mSu7qe4kwkPHOWlrSzkPXRYQ (volumes 11-21, also in a batch)
  14.
  15. and in torrent form:
  16. http://bakabt.me/180657-keroro-gunsou-sergeant-frog-sgt-frog.html
  17.
  18. Volume 22 and most of the chapters that would compose volume 23 (watch the mediafire below for more translations):
  19. https://www.mediafire.com/folder/deegixid54e2e/sergeant_keroro_manga_scanslations
  20.
  21. From May 2014 to July 2015, new, officially translated chapters were released on the 23rd of every month, normally a month behind what was currently on shelves in Japan inside Shonen Ace magazine, in English on Kadokawa's ComicWalker site (http://comic-walker.com/).
  22. http://comic-walker.com/contents/detail/KDCW_KS01000004020000_68/
  23.
  24. However, the previous chapter for viewing was replaced by the newest one every month, and as Sgt. Frog is currently NOT PHYSICALLY PUBLISHED in English because Tokyopop went out of business at the end of May 2011, shortly after publishing the 21st volume, previous chapters were in danger of disappearing from the internet FOREVER. So, here are all the chapters that were available on ComicWalker, starting from Chapter 224 (May 2014) and ending after Chapter 238 (July 2015), ripped, under [Keron Force]:
  25. https://www.mediafire.com/folder/tqse326l8qair/Frog_stuff
  26.
  27. However, rips will continue with the raw files of new chapters from the original Japanese ComicWalker, and will also be uploaded to the above folder under [Keron Force RAW].

  31.
  32. As of December 18th, 2014, Viz Media now holds the manga license and has released it in digital only format as part of their Viz Selects line. However, it consists only of the chapters Tokyopop has already done, which are volumes 1 through 21. Support these releases if/whenever possible, but more importantly, show your support for a new physical (preferably omnibus, as it is the quickest way to re-release the older volumes and get on to the new material) release of the manga whenever possible, such as at cons, "suggestion box" things like surveys and polls, on Facebook, Twitter and other social networks, etc.
  33.
  34. ------- Anime stuff -------
  35. ALL animated Keroro media up to the point of this writing has been subbed:
  36. - All 358 episodes of the original Keroro anime are officially (and excellently) subbed by Viewster, and is available at https://nyaa.si/view/841170
  37. - All 5 Keroro movies have been fansubbed by [Doremi] and others.
  38. - All 23 episodes of the 2014 flash anime have been fansubbed by Rat Hat. Look below for more info.
  39.
  40.
  41. There is a (good) US dub of Sgt. Frog done by Funimation. 3 "seasons" (half seasons in Japanese order) of 26 episodes have been dubbed for a total of 78 episodes. Funimation has put the dub "on hiatus" since February 2013. Be sure to support the official DVD releases in the interim if you want more, because in particular, the next set of episodes (79 through 103) complete the Japanese Season 2 and are capped off with some of the best in the entire show. They're cheap, dual audio, with subs far better than any fansubbed version, and essentially region free. You have nothing to lose.

  50. (If anyone reading this is a con-goer, or is otherwise in touch with Funi or it's people online or off, bug the complete hell out of them about this show whenever possible.)

  52.
  53. dorkly chair of the institute for space politics has a cytube up and running for livewatching of Keroro anime episodes:
  54. https://cytu.be/r/k66
  55.
  56. For those thinking "Huh? What's that?", dorkly's own words:
  57. "The way synchtube sites like cytube or taima tv work is different than the usual video stream that goes (live video feed off a computer)->(video stream site)->(viewer).
  58. Like the name implies, they synchronize youtube type videos.
  59. So every browser looking at the channel gets told "load this one youtube video and set it to 5:58" and then a couple of seconds later it tells it "make sure you're at 6:00" and then "load this other youtube video" and then a couple of seconds later it tells it "make sure you're at 0:02"
  60. They usually work with DM and other video sites too.
  61. In cytube's case this can also be done with videos uploaded to Google Drives, which is why these double as download links for the series.
  62.
  63. This allows there to be a 24/7 stream of Keroro without a whole lot of effort."
  64.
  65.
  66. A Keroro flash anime, consisting of 3 minute shorts, aired on Animax to complement reruns of the original anime on the same channel since March 22, 2014. It ended on September 6th, with a total of 23 episodes. The most concerted fansub effort, now completed, was uploaded to Youtube first for some reason.

  100. ------- Other curiosities and cool things -------
  101.
  102. A good anon that contributes much to the threads has completely translated the dialogue for the Keroro crossover event for the Kemono Friends mobile game, and is a fun read.
  103. The concept, characters, and character design of the Kemono Friends universe, adapted into the game, several manga, and a now very popular anime (some months after the mobile game was shut down, funnily enough) that aired from January to March 2017, are also created by Mine Yoshizaki. In the crossover event, the Platoon ends up in Japari Park (the setting) trying to invade it, crash lands, and are turned to girls due to the influence of the Sandstar.
  104. [For the uninitiated: In the backstory for Kemono Friends, Sandstar is a mysterious substance emitted from a mountain in the park that turned all of the animals into girls, known as "Friends". Each Friend has features that correspond to their respective animal's looks or characteristics.]

  136. Below here are links to old fansubs of Keroro, which were the way people used to watch the anime before the coming of Viewster's official subs for the original anime in August 2016.
  137.
  138. To be honest, the official subs are on a -completely- different level than any previous fan efforts, quality-wise, translation-wise, and even humor-wise, especially the episodes after the first 159 that [Doremi]/[Keroro] have done. The old fansubs below are hereby not recommended at all, except as curiosities.
  139.
  140. (Much, much gratitude to Doremi's staff and other groups who have slaved away for the past decade to bring us, the fans, English subbed episodes of the of the show, though.)
  141. -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  142. -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  143. Old subbed episode counter:
  144.
  145. Q: How much episodes of the original Keroro anime are in English in total, subbed or otherwise?
  146. A: The first 271 episodes (!), combined with the uniquely subbed episodes available to download from this place, and an unspecified number of randomly subbed episodes past that point, makes AT LEAST 302 (!!) out of 358.
  147. [Exact count as of last update = episodes 1-271, 273, 275-276, 284-293, 295, 298-299, 302-306, 316-317, 320, 326-328, 344-345, Final episode (358) + ?? (other unknowns)]

  158.
  159. In the heyday of English-speaking Keroro fandom, to satisfy a demand to see newer episodes, specials, and movies subbed, new subbers and subgroups had sprung up and rose to the occasion. Some of these groups, together, for example, have finished the 4th season (episodes 155-205) and the 5th season (episodes 206-256). Unfortunately, due to a notorious lack of organization among the various Keroro subgroups and lack of foresight, combined with the volatility of only having a video up on youtube or certain file sharing sites, these episodes eventually became extremely hard to find, or just became lost in the ether over time.
