Lords of the Fallen STR Speedrun route

Lords of the Fallen STR Speedrun Notes by LobosJR (with help from Twitch chat)

- Red Power, Warrior class
- DO NOT KILL TUTORIAL ENEMY
- Take off pants/gloves
- Sprinting w/ shield up is your friend
- Pick up any Lore scrolls you see along the way
- (OPTIONAL) Grab empty bottle near 2 hollows at beginning (downstairs, roll under gate)
- Don't talk to Kaslo.
- Kill First Warden. Running R2 after shield bash or 4 attack combo. If he does overhead, do a charged R2 w/ R2 followup. As he enters 4th phase, do charged R2 attack then spam R1 to win (unless you need to heal).
- LOOT BIG RUNE
- Feel free to heal at checkpoint, don't spend exp
- Jump down to Shard of Heroes key
- Backtrack and pick up Shard of Heroes
- Head to challenge portal and get left/right chests
- Continue into next area; pull both levers to open the way
- 500xp from Monk quest
- Loot Symmetry out of chest (just past Monk on the right next to zombies)
- Pick up Lore scroll near Gauntlet!
- Drop off cliff to get Tower key (safe strats are to trigger Yetka cutscene and touch checkpoint before this)
- Loot fate out of chest (shield bash guy to stun then open)
- Yetka's Daggers (quest item)
- Use rune to open chest and get Attribute point shard
- Head back to checkpoint
- Turn in Yetka's Daggers.
- Pop Attribute point shard
- Level up all into Strength (YOU MUST HAVE 16 at this point)
- Equip Fate & full Symmetry set
- Use Shard of Heroes on the center statue (warrior)
- Kill Commander
- LOOT BIG RUNE
- Head through Commander area, pick up Bloody Flint on bridge near challenge portal
- Light bonfire for 1k exp
- Go downstairs into side room. Loot potion & pull switch to open gate
- Drop down to head to Graveyard; pick up potion out of chest
- Equip Symmetry Set before boss fight
- For Worshiper, wait out of range until his entrance explosion goes off, then stand next to him and charge an R2 as he's finishing standing up. R1 spam. You can do 2 full stamina bars of R1 while he's charging 1-shot AOE. Right after AOE goes off, sprinting R2 to leap attack (this travels pretty damn far).
- LOOT BIG RUNE
- After boss, grab My Axe from catacombs
- Backtrack, go do challenge for Back Breaker ring
- Head to demon realm via Kaslo/Yetka conversation
- Slot two Big runes (pray for Luck rune) into My Axe
- Left entrance from gate, can jump to a platform w/ cunning legs + attribute point shard (need shield off to make jump)
- Hit a switch in the Eastern/Western areas. (Door to the switches in both areas are directly below where you enter)
- Pop Attribute Point Shards & Spell point shard. Unlock 'Prayer'
- Strength should be 28, rest of your points go into Endurance
- Go down stairs, fall off open ledge to the left and hit checkpoint.
- Kill Infiltrator. Good strat is to put down Prayer and knock his back leg's armor off. If you can get more than one leg armor, awesome. Once he's vulnerable, do charged R2 w/ R2 followups. You can avoid his 3 hit combo by running tight circles around him (heading toward his back)
- Loot big rune if you want (if you got shitty rune rng)
- Backtrack through challenge portal. Loot left chest for Potion. (optional)
- Leave and enter Catacombs from Graveyard (hope you know how to navigate through here)
- Suicide to big shield guy (take armor off). This should respawn you up near the top switch
- Head to Upper beast area and pull switch.
- Behind switch (near imprisoned dudes) pull lever and open shortcut to 2nd switch
- Drop down, hit checkpoint if you want, pull switch for Champion
- Kill Champion. Bait his charge if you can (get far away when possible). Use Heavy Shield to shield bash his charges, then walk forward and 2h charge R2 w/ R2 followup. Spam roll after attacks and you can usually avoid all damage. If he keeps walking toward you, you'll have to get close to bait a melee, then run away.
- Run past enemies; kill the archer & 2 shield dudes before the soldiers
- Go upstairs into empty room (on the right) and break wall for Will set
- Head up, checkpoint, do conversation
- Clear Planetarium, do conversation. If you have ~2+ health pots, you should be fine.
- With Symmetry equipped still, head out to the Beast, spam running R2 attack on the side of his leg for best results (hits multiple times)
- Take shortcut towards graveyard and head to demon realm
- Run into Guardian fight and stand still. Fire orbs should 1-shot you (yes, die). If not, take off armor in the future. After respawning, just run up and kill boss (he does nothing. this is because the game is in a weird state for not completing the tutorial)
- Shoot portal with gauntlet, enter
- Immediately to the right, loot Last Will

** Navigation Notes ** This place is confusing as fuck. Head through the door opposite where you teleport in. I recommend killing the 2 fast dudes. Hang right and there's a passageway to the right of the shielded doorway. Follow this, run through spider rooms, avoid holes, and make your way up and mostly to the right. If you see a caster and then a hallway with a fat dude, you're going the right way.

- First switch is behind 1st ghost seen (he's hiding it)
- 2nd switch is through Gauntlet locked door right next to it (Letka's area).
- Go flip switch up top and enter through gate near Letka.
- Head up the stairs and to the right (gauntlet locked door)
- Stop by blacksmith anvil to transfer runes to Last Will (pop more if you have bad ones)
- Keep following until you pass explode-y dude and hit switch.
- Cross new bridge that appeared and slowly drop down near where the first switch is (apparently rolling into a fall prevents fall stagger animation?)
- Go hit 3rd switch in front of big demon to engage cutscene
- Kill self and enter door behind you** Maybe not? BC of Tutorial glitch, you spawn near the first checkpoint in the level. Need to figure out the fastest way back here.
- Go through gate near Letka, then head all the way up the stairs, up the middle of the area with the giant 8 armed thing
- Kill Annihilator. When he does his laser beam charge up attack, look away. If you keep distance, you can bait his mace throw attack, which leaves him pretty damn vulnerable.
- Don't kill yourself during long chat (no really you can suicide and crash your game or have to restart the dialogue)
- Enter the Brothers fight (preferably naked) and die.
- You'll respawn in the beginning. Run back to the 2nd boss area (where you killed Beast also)
- Run back in the main Citadel entrance and sprint for the top. Running R2 + R2 = win. You don't have to kill the Guard Captain.
- Put rune in chest if you want for more defense
- Push Antanas to phase 2 then let him kill you.
- Have fun rekking a broken last boss

Glitches:

- Commander Glitch: He gets stuck standing during spawn phase and can be damaged. While he's doing the slow sword projectile attack, push him from 1st hp bar to 2nd.

- Wall Glitch: While moving into a breakable wall, open and close the inventory (while still holding toward it). You'll clip right through :O Also works with most physics objects. Not sure if this has any application yet.

- Tutorial Glitch: By skipping killing the first tutorial guy & talking to Kaslo the first time, the game gets in a weird state when it tries to respawn you. I think it tries to respawn you at a 'default' spawn point for the area, and if it doesn't exist, it can just spawn you where you were. This breaks boss AI in some cases and let's you just kill them without reacting. There may be a lot more to experiment with here.
