- Discharge Policy
- Overview
- To ensure all records regarding the status of current, and past members is completely up to date, in a fashion that allows any and all members to understand the end of service each member accepts upon discharge from NATO.
- Retired Status
- To show appreciation for the service of members that have served in NATO, the status of retired may be requested upon end of service to NATO.
- The requirement’s to obtain retired status are as follows.
- – Must be an E-4 or higher
- – Must have been an active member for at-least 6 months.
- – Must have a record free of dishonorable discharge qualifying feats.
- – Must acquire the approval of at-least one officer, with a rank of Lieutenant(O-1), or higher.
- Honorable Discharge
- Any person who resigns from NATO after 3 months with no major disciplinary problems(Strikes). but they may regain their last held rank if ever they decide to rejoin. If the service break is longer than six months, a rank reduction may take place up to two ranks lower then when the member resigned.
- General Discharge
- Any person who resigns from NATO with less than 2 months of service, or with more than 3 months with noted disciplinary issues(1 strike). General discharges do not maintain their ranks unless they rejoin within 30 days, after which they are subject to a restart of rank and service.
- Less Than Honorable Discharge
- Any person who commits repeated violations(Strikes) of policies may be subject to an "Less Than Honorable Discharge". They will not be allowed to rejoin the unit for 2 months. Upon returning if they choose, they will begin with a fresh rank and must work as if a new private within NATO.
- Dishonorable Discharge
- Any person who commits repeated and/or serious violations of policy, ethics, and/or professionalism(3 or more strikes) may be subject to a Dishonorable Discharge, The person is stripped of all rank and is not allowed to return to the unit. They will be banned from NATO for 6 months. after which they may apply for discharge status change for a chance to obtain less than honorable and the chance to rejoin NATO.
