Following last week's developer blog on achievement diary rewards we've taken on board all of your feedback and made some changes.

The section just below lists the changes we have made as well as going into some detail on requirements, reward items and the achievement diary cape.

The individual sections of the developer blog have also been updated with this information as well as some more specific details in several places.



Change log

• Added full burying experience for the Bonecrusher on completion of the Elite diary.

• Moved new Lunar spells to Hard rewards of the Fremennik diary and specified rune costs.

• Moved noted Dagannoth bones to Elite rewards of the Fremennik diary.

• Replaced increased pay-dirt experience with an increased chance at higher ores from pay-dirt cleaning.

• Moved increased clue scroll chance from Guards to Falador medium rewards.

• Added the cooking guild bank and range to Varrock Hard rewards.

• Clarified the specifics around unfinished potion making.

• Added noted desert goat horns to the Desert rewards.

• Added free access to the Hardwood tree grove to Karamja Elite.

• Reduced Marks of Grace boost on Ardougne diary from 50% to 25%.

• Replaced free daily BA wave skip with a 10% point increase.

• Added some more specific information regarding the Ape Atoll room and Crystal Halberd.

• Moved Crystal Halberd to hard rewards.

• Added the ability to decide which obelisk you teleport to as a Wilderness reward.

• Added faster dark crab fishing as a Wilderness reward.

• Removed increased cannonball smithing time from Morytania rewards.

• Moved the built-in ghost speak amulet to Morytania Legs 2.

• Reduced double runes from barrows to a 50% increase.

• Added a Bonecrusher to Morytania rewards, powered by ecto tokens.

• Mentioned some requirements where possible to address some concerns.

• Adjusted the Lumbridge elite run replenishment from three 100% charges to 6 of 50%.

• Moved Mole Locator to Falador Hard rewards.

• Added a slightly increased chance of enchanted bolts special attacks activating to Kandarin hard rewards.

• Added the Achievement diary cape and it's ability to trim the Quest Cape - These will be polled by as separate questions.

• Added some information regarding item stats and whether or not you need to be wearing the reward item to obtain benefits.

Requirements

At this point we can't provide definitive requirements for each diary as they're still being written but as a general overview please bare the following in mind.

Easy tasks have little to no skill or quest requirements.

Medium tasks have skill requirements up to 40-50 and intermediate quest requirements.

Hard tasks have skill requirements up to 75 and master quest requirements with some challenging minigame aspects.

Elite tasks have skill requirements ranging from 80-99 and utilise the highest level content in terms of combat, questing and minigames. There are currently less than 100 players who have the requirements to complete all elite tasks.

Reward items

Aside from the Ardougne cloak none of the new items will become best in slot and should mostly be seen as cosmetic items. Whether or not you will need to have the items equipped to obtain certain benefits is yet to be finalized but we will apply common sense. For example, you would need to have Varrock platebody equipped to receive mining and smithing benefits, but not to claim your daily battlestaves.

Achievement Diary cape

While the reward items are, in their own right, a way to show off which Diaries you've completed, if you have completed all of them we'd like to offer you an Achievement diary cape.

We'd also like to offer you the option of having this cape trim the Quest Cape. Both the achievement diary cape and the trimming of the quest cape will be polled separately.



Rewards across all diaries


The following rewards will be offered for all diaries across all regions:

    Easy lamp: 2,500 Experience in any skill over level 30.
    Medium lamp: 7,500 Experience in any skill over level 40.
    Hard lamp: 15,000 Experience in any skill over level 50.
    Elite lamp: 50,000 Experience in any skill over level 70.


You will receive these lamps in addition to the specifics rewards for each set of tasks on each diary.



Ardougne diary rewards

Easy

Upon completing all of the easy tasks in the Ardougne diary you will receive the following effects and rewards:

    • Ardougne cloak 1
    • 200 Death runes when trading in a cat
    • 10% Better chance of successfully thieving from stalls in Ardougne
    • Some drops will be noted at the Tower of Life
    • Unlimited teleports to the Monastery south of Ardougne


Medium

Upon completing all of the medium tasks in the Ardougne diary you will receive the following effects and rewards:

    • Ardougne cloak 2
    • All easy diary rewards
    • 100 free noted pure essence every day
    • One free daily teleport to Ardougne farm patch
    • Further noted drops from the Tower of Life
    • 10% better chance at pickpocketing in Ardougne



Hard

Upon completing all of the hard tasks in the Ardougne diary you will receive the following effects and rewards:

    • All medium diary rewards
    • 150 free noted pure essence every day (not in addition to medium reward)
    • Toggle watchtower teleport to the centre of Yanille
    • Even more noted drops from the Tower of Life
    • 10% better chance of succeeding when stealing or pickpocketing anywhere in RuneScape
    • Ardougne cloak 3:

    • 250 free noted pure essence every day (not in addition to hard reward)
    • 50% more fish from Fishing Trawler
    • 25% more marks of grace from the Ardougne rooftop agility course
    • Ardougne cloak 4:

Falador diary rewards

Easy

Upon completing all of the easy tasks in the Falador diary you will receive the following effects and rewards:

    • Falador shield 1
    • Shortcut to the chaos temple from Burthorpe
    • 25% prayer restore daily (from Falador shield 1)


Medium

Upon completing all of the medium tasks in the Falador diary you will receive the following effects and rewards:

    • Falador shield 2
    • All easy diary rewards
    • 10% more experience from the Falador farm
    • Access to a shortcut in the motherlode mine
    • 50% prayer restore once daily


• 20% higher chance of receiving a clue scroll from a guard
Hard

Upon completing all of the hard tasks in the Falador diary you will receive the following effects and rewards:

    • Falador shield 3
    • All medium diary rewards
    • Access to a bank deposit box at the crafting guild
    • Mole will drop noted skins and claws
    • Shortcut to the heroes guild fountain
    • Slightly increased chance at receiving higher ores when cleaning pay-dirt.
    • Recharge 100% of prayer once daily
    • Mole locator


Elite

Upon completing all of the elite tasks in the Falador diary you will receive the following effects and rewards:

    • Falador shield 4
    • All hard diary rewards
    • Tree patch in Falador will never get diseased
    • Further increased chance at receiving higher ores when cleaning pay-dirt.
    • 100% prayer recharge twice a day




Fremennik diary rewards

Easy

Upon completing all of the easy tasks in the Fremennik diary you will receive the following effects and rewards:


    • Fremennik sea boots 1
    • Peer the Seer will act as a bank deposit box
    • Fossegrimen will give your enchanted lyre an extra charge when making a sacrifice


Medium

Upon completing all of the medium tasks in the Fremennik diary you will receive the following effects and rewards:

    • All easy diary rewards
    • Fremennik sea boots 2
    • Shortcut jump from Miscellania dock to Etceteria
    • One free teleport to Relleka every day
    • Improved rate of gaining approval on Miscellania


Hard

Upon completing all of the hard tasks in the Fremennik diary you will receive the following effects and rewards:

    • All medium diary rewards
    • Fremennik sea boots 3
    • Ability to change Lyre teleport location to Waterbirth Island
    • Shortcut to the roof of the Troll Stronghold
    • Access to 2 new lunar spells
        • Tan-leather - Requires 84 Magic, 2 astral, 2 nature and 5 fire runes. Tan's 5 hides per spell.
        • Recharge dragonstone jewellery - Requires 87 Magic, 2 astral, 2 soul and 10 water runes. Recharges 5 items per spell..

    Elite

    Upon completing all of the elite tasks in the Fremennik diary you will receive the following effects and rewards:

        • All hard diary rewards
        • Fremennik sea boots 4
        • Dagannoth bones will be dropped as notes
    • Ability to change enchanted lyre teleport location to Jatiszo or Neitiznot




Kandarin diary rewards

Easy

Upon completing all of the easy tasks in the Kandarin diary you will receive the following effects and rewards:


    • Kandarin headgear 1
    • Extra log when cutting normal trees anywhere (no additional experience)
    • 30 flax daily from a new NPC found at the flax fields
    • Coal trucks hold 140 coal
    • 5% more marks of grace from Seers Village rooftop agility course


Medium

Upon completing all of the medium tasks in the Kandarin diary you will receive the following effects and rewards:

    • All easy diary rewards
    • Kandarin headgear 2
    • 10% extra experience when cutting maple trees in Seers village
    • 33% faster spinning at the seers spinning wheel
    • 60 flax daily from a new NPC found at the flax fields (not in addition to easy reward)
    • Coal trucks hold 240 coal
    • 5% higher yield from Catherby herb patch
    • 10% more marks of grace from Seers Village rooftop agility course


Hard

Upon completing all of the hard tasks in the Kandarin diary you will receive the following effects and rewards:

    • All medium diary rewards
    • Kandarin headgear 3
    • Thormac will enchant battlestaves for 30k rather than 40k
    • 120 flax daily from a new NPC found at the flax fields (not in addition to easy or medium rewards)
    • Coal trucks hold 308 coal
    • Option to move camelot teleport to just outside the Seers Village bank
    • 10% higher yield from Catherby herb patch
    • 15% more marks of grace from Seers Village rooftop agility course
    • One free teleport to Sherlock every day
    • 10% more reward points from Barbarian Assault
    • When worn, 10% more likely that your enchanted bolts special effect will activate


Elite

Upon completing all of the elite tasks in the Kandarin diary you will receive the following effects and rewards:

    • All hard diary rewards
    • Kandarin headgear 4
    • Thormac will enchant battlestaves for 20k
    • 250 flax daily from a new NPC found at the flax fields
    • The first 200 coal placed in the coal trucks every day are transported to your bank
    • 15% higher yield from Catherby herb patch
    • 3 teleports to Sherlock every day
    • 50% discount from Otto when converting Zamorakian spears into hastae




Karamja diary rewards (elite only)

Elite

Upon completing all of the elite tasks in the Karamja diary you will receive the following effects and rewards:


    • Karamja gloves 4
    • Double tokkul from the fight cave
    • Chance at receiving double tickets in Brimhaven dungeon
    • Shortcut across Shilo Village river
    • One fight cave resurrection per day (Note: This diary will require you to already own a Fire Cape.)
    • Shortcut to red dragons
    • Noted red dragonhide from Brimhaven dungeon
    • Free access to Shilo Village furnace
    • Free access to the Hardwood Grove




Kharidian Desert diary rewards

Easy

Upon completing all of the easy tasks in the Kharidian Desert diary you will receive the following effects and rewards:


    • Desert amulet 1
    • Pharaoh's sceptre holds up to 4 charges
    • Simon Templeton will purchase artifacts as bank notes


Medium

Upon completing all of the medium tasks in the Kharidian Desert diary you will receive the following effects and rewards:

    • All easy diary rewards
    • Desert amulet 2
    • Pharaoh's sceptre holds up to 5 charges
    • Teleport to Nardah once per day
    • Desert Goat horn will be dropped in noted form


Hard

Upon completing all of the hard tasks in the Kharidian Desert diary you will receive the following effects and rewards:

    • All medium diary rewards
    • Desert amulet 3
    • Pharaoh's sceptre holds up to 6 charges
    • Option to move the Camulet teleport location to the cavern entrance
    • Free carpet rides
    • The Nardah herbalist will create unfinished potions for you at a cost of 200 gp each, works with notes.


Elite

Upon completing all of the elite tasks in the Kharidian Desert diary you will receive the following effects and rewards:

    • All hard diary rewards
    • Desert amulet 4
    • Pharaoh's sceptre holds up to 8 charges
    • Access to a shortcut in the Kalphite lair
    • Free Shantay Pass access
    • Protection from desert heat when the Desert Amulet 4 is worn
    • Unlimited teleports to Nardah




Lumbridge & Draynor diary rewards

Easy

Upon completing all of the easy tasks in the Lumbridge & Draynor diary you will receive the following effects and rewards:


    • Explorer's ring 1
    • 50% run energy replenish twice a day
    • 30 casts of low alchemy per day (does not provide experience)


Medium

Upon completing all of the medium tasks in the Lumbridge & Draynor diary you will receive the following effects and rewards:

    • All easy diary rewards
    • Explorer's ring 2
    • 50% run energy replenish 3 times a day
    • Teleport to cabbage patch 3 times a day
    • Access to Draynor Village wall shortcut


Hard

Upon completing all of the hard tasks in the Lumbridge & Draynor diary you will receive the following effects and rewards:

    • All medium diary rewards
    • Explorer's ring 3
    • 50% run energy replenish 4 times a day
    • Teleport to cabbage patch unlimited times a day
    • Access to a shortcut from Lumbridge swamp to the desert
    • Increased experience from Tears of Guthix


Elite

Upon completing all of the elite tasks in the Lumbridge & Draynor diary you will receive the following effects and rewards:

    • All hard diary rewards
    • Explorer's ring 4
    • 5th slot to block Slayer tasks with (This diary requires a Quest Cape)
    • 50% run energy replenish 6 times a day
    • 20% discount on Culinoromancer's chest items
    • 30 casts of high alchemy per day (does not provide experience)




Morytania diary rewards

Easy

Upon completing all of the easy tasks in the Morytania diary you will receive the following effects and rewards:


    • Morytania legs 1
    • 50% chance of a Ghast ignoring you rather than attacking
    • 2 daily teleports to the slime pit beneath the Ectofunctus


Medium

Upon completing all of the medium tasks in the Morytania diary you will receive the following effects and rewards:

    • All easy diary rewards
    • Morytania legs 2
    • 5 daily teleports to the slime pit beneath Ectofunctus
    • Built-in ghost speak amulet on the Morytania legs.
    • Robin offers 13 lots of bonemeal in echange for bones and 13 free buckets of slime each day


Hard

Upon completing all of the hard tasks in the Morytania diary you will receive the following effects and rewards:

    • All medium diary rewards
    • Morytania legs 3
    • Double mort myre fungi when casting Bloom
    • 50% more prayer experience from burning shade remains
    • Robin offers 26 lots of bonemeal in exchange for bones and 26 free buckets of slime each day
    • Teleport to Burgh de Rott
    • Access to a shortcut across the estuary on Mos Le-Harmless
    • 50% more runes from the Barrows chest
    • Bonecrusher - an item that when carried automatically crushes bone drops and provides half the prayer experience you would of gotten for burying them. The bonecrusher is claimed charged with a small amount of ecto tokens.


Elite

Upon completing all of the elite tasks in the Morytania diary you will receive the following effects and rewards:

    • All hard diary rewards
    • Morytania legs 4
    • Robin offers 39 lots of bonemeal in exchange for bones and 39 free buckets of slime each day
    • 10% more slayer experience in Slayer Tower when on a task
    • Access to a new herb patch on Harmony Island
    • 50% more Firemaking experience when burning shade remains
    • Bonecrusher provides full burying experience




Varrock diary rewards

Easy

Upon completing all of the easy tasks in the Varrock diary you will receive the following effects and rewards:


    • Varrock armour 1
    • 15 battlestaves from Zaff every day for 7,000 coins each
    • 10% chance of mining 2 ores at once up to coal
    • 10% chance of smelting 2 bars at once up to steel when using the Edgeville furnace


Medium

Upon completing all of the medium tasks in the Varrock diary you will receive the following effects and rewards:

    • All easy diary rewards
    • Varrock armour 2
    • 30 battlestaves from Zaff every day for 7,000 coins each
    • 10% chance of mining 2 ores at once up to mithril
    • 10% chance of smelting 2 bars at once up to mithril when using the Edgeville furnace


Hard

Upon completing all of the hard tasks in the Varrock diary you will receive the following effects and rewards:

    • All medium diary rewards
    • Varrock armour 3
    • 60 battlestaves from Zaff every day for 7,000 coins each
    • 10% chance of mining 2 ores at once up to adamant
    • 10% chance of smelting 2 bars at once up to adamant when using the Edgeville furnace
    • Access to the new Cooking guild bank.


Elite

Upon completing all of the elite tasks in the Varrock diary you will receive the following effects and rewards:

    • All hard diary rewards
    • Varrock armour 4
    • 120 battlestaves from Zaff every day for 7,000 coins each
    • 10% chance of mining 2 ores at once up to runite
    • 10% chance of smelting 2 bars at once up to runite when using the Edgeville furnace
    • Varrock armour 4 functions as a prospector top




Western Provinces diary rewards

Easy

Upon completing all of the easy tasks in the Western Provinces diary you will receive the following effects and rewards:


    • Western banner 1
    • 25% chance of 2 chompy birds appearing when chompy bird hunting
    • 25 free ogre arrows every day from Rantz


Medium

Upon completing all of the medium tasks in the Western Provinces diary you will receive the following effects and rewards:

    • All easy diary rewards
    • Western banner 2
    • 50% chance of 2 chompy birds appearing when chompy bird hunting
    • Crystal saw holds twice as many charges


Hard

Upon completing all of the hard tasks in the Western Provinces diary you will receive the following effects and rewards:

    • All medium diary rewards
    • Western banner 3
    • Ability to upgrade void top and bottom to have +3 prayer bonus for 200 PC points each
    • Access to the locked room under the temple on Ape Atoll (The room with the Monkey Skull.)
    • Access to the Hunter masters new private red chinchompa hunting ground
    • 100 free ogre arrows every day from Rantz
    • Teleport crystal can hold up to 5 charges
    • One free daily teleport to the Piscatoris fishing colony


• Ilfeen will offer to enchant your crystal seeds into a Crystal halberd offering the following stats

        Stab attack: +85
        Slash attack: +110
        Crush attack: 0
        Magic attack: -4
        Range attack: 0

        Stab defence: -1
        Slash defence: +4
        Crush defence: +5
        Magic defence: 0
        Range defence: 0

        Strength: +118
        Prayer: +0
        The Crystal Halberd will function in the same way as other crystal equipment in that it degrades, it will not have a special attack and has the same attack speed as other Halberds.


Elite

Upon completing all of the elite tasks in the Western Provinces diary you will receive the following effects and rewards:

    • All hard diary rewards
    • Western banner 4
    • 2 chompy birds will always appear when chompy bird hunting
    • Chance of receiving a chompy bird pet when chompy bird hunting
    • Increased slayer points from Nieve (to match Duradel)
    • 150 free ogre arrows every day from Rantz
    • Undisclosed snake boss benefits
    • Unlimited teleports to the Piscatoris fishing colony





Wilderness diary rewards

Easy

Upon completing all of the easy tasks in the Wilderness diary you will receive the following effects and rewards:


    • Wilderness sword 1
    • Wilderness lever can teleport you to either Edgeville or Ardougne
    • 10 random, free runes from Lundail once per day


Medium

Upon completing all of the medium tasks in the Wilderness diary you will receive the following effects and rewards:

    • All easy diary rewards
    • Wilderness sword 2
    • Faster log cutting from ents
    • 20% off entry to resource area
    • Access to a shortcut in the deep wilderness dungeon
    • Can have 4 ecumenical keys at a time


Hard

Upon completing all of the hard tasks in the Wilderness diary you will receive the following effects and rewards:

    • All medium diary rewards
    • Wilderness sword 3
    • One free daily teleport to the Fountain of Rune
    • 50% more lava shards per scale
    • Shortcut to lava dragon isle
    • Half price entry to resource area
    • Can have 5 ecumenucal keys at a time
    • 30 free random runes from Lundail once per day
    • Able to choose your destination when teleporting through the ancient obelisks


Elite

Upon completing all of the elite tasks in the Wilderness diary you will receive the following effects and rewards:

    • All hard diary rewards
    • Wilderness sword 4
    • 3 free daily teleports to the Fountain of Rune
    • Free entry to the resource area
    • All dragon bone drops in the wilderness are noted
    • 50 free random runes from Lundail once per day
    • Increased Dark Crab catch rate
