ttk2: I am sure our hosting company is giving our bandwith graphs a very confused look right now
ttk2: More than a year ago now Civcraft first game online and I cant say I ever expected to end up here
ttk2: With 200+ of my strangest friends
ttk2: I chose the rift for this meeting because its important to me, it was the first city I lived in
ttk2: so long ago, you know some of the reinforcements on the walls here are still mine?
ttk2: untouched after more than a year
ttk2: If you walk downstairs and find the farm you will see the hole where my prison once was

ttk2: someone in our esteemed audience today, MC is FTW was the one to imprison me himeself
ttk2: while it was situations like this that eventually lead to me steping down from playing
ttk2: it never stopped me from forming an attachment to this place
ttk2: 20,000
ttk2: more than 20,000 people have joined and played Civcraft on this map
ttk2: 20,000 stories, each with their own importance places and expiriences
ttk2: Somehow it makes the 14gigs of the server map feel much heavier
ttk2: and seem so much larger
ttk2: But I could have never gotten here without the support of my players
ttk2: you know, looking at the subreddit traffic stats for /r/Civcraft you will find somthing strange
ttk2: through thick and thin, server up server down, 2000 people view the subreddit every day
ttk2: its nearly impossibly constant, it never wavers below that number. It is as much the commitment
ttk2: of the players as it is mine that we can continue to run this server
ttk2: people say that Civcraft shows the worst in people, that if you just look at what people do
ttk2: you will find somthing worthwhile
ttk2: but I say Civcraft shows the best of people, because it is here.
ttk2: the effort and commitment shown in keeping the server alive, updated, and improved has been
ttk2: an incredible testimate to all of you
ttk2: I am saying goodby to the rift and this map along with all of you, as someone who was once a player
ttk2: going forwards I will no longer be a player, but it is my goal to never let the "ivory tower"
ttk2: become a literall situation
ttk2: If civcraft is to continue to thrive
ttk2: the admins need to stay close to the game, not live so far away they can not even tell what
ttk2: the players are doing anymore
ttk2: I hope to spend more time listening to all of you in mumble and continue at least trying to
ttk2: keep up with the subreddit
