  3. Right now you got stats being a bit more cost effective than some items on certain stats. One may think, "Oh, easy, we just put them as cost effective as items and they are now fixed", but no, it doesn't work like that. If you make stats as cost effective as items you still get broken stats. Why? Because some gods value some stats too strongly and being able to buy their strongest stat without having to make sacrifices and buy the other less cost effective stats that come with items leads, again, to stats being virtually more cost effective than items. That leaves Hirez with one option: making stats less cost effective than items. Now stats are only things you buy once you have six items, this would still create endless lategame scaling, which would be broken. The only fix I see to this is limiting stats and nerfing them enough to be less cost effective., and they're doing it, but not nearly enough considering 20 stat points is stil la shitload of stats. This way they will only be bought at level 20 after you got six items and everyone will be on even grounds and not scale forever. However, this doesn't fix the main issue with stats: First, this would give stats an almost useless/pedantic role with little importance. Apart fom that stats are too complicated and give an advantage to people who do math. Wether the advantage is small or big, they do give a substantial and unecessary advantage.The majority of people claiming that the stat system is great are people who either don't buy stats or buy too many stats. They don't realize the advantages or disadvantages that the stats create.

  5. However, all this being said, you guys seem to think that stats are the reason why this game is broken, but stats are not why the game seems imbalanced. The new items broke the game, stats just augmented the broken feel. Items such as mark of the vanguard, bulwark, mystical mark, etc. Focus being unbalanced is another culprit for the broken feel.
