  1. Metagross offense
  2. Metagross / Keldeo / Thundurus / Landorus-t / Bisharp / Garchomp
  3. Started out with Mega Metagross + SubCM Keldeo core, since a lot of things that prevent Keldeo from setting up (e.g. the Lati twins) are checked By Metagross, and equallly Keldeo can set up on a lot of things that Metagross can't necessarily deal with (e.g. Bisharp). The core is unable to beat Mega Slowbro, so TWave NP Thundurus was added. Overall this has good offensive synergy with the core, helping against fast mons like Gengar and Talonflame. Running HP flying on Thundurus would also give a better matchup vs Venusaur/Amoonguss, which both check Keldeo. Scarf Landorus-t added to give the team a decent revenge killer; this mon was chosen since the momentum it provides along with the intimidate gives free switch-ins to my core members, either allowing Keldeo to set up or to allow Metagross to hit something. Bisharp added to pursuit trap the Lati twins for Keldeo as well as deter Defog users, since SR damage is important for Metagross to net some 2HKOs. Also gives the team a form of priority which is kewl. Have no SR setter at this point though so Garchomp is added, specifically Lum SD variant since it beats Mega Sableye 1v1, also has immediate offensive presence which is key for the team; this is also why I'm not running something like Clefable since that'd need a couple CM boosts to be a threat offensively.

  5. Gardevoir offense
  6. Gardevoir / Bisharp / Keldeo / Landorus-t / Gyarados / Klefki
  7. Mega Gardevoir and Bisharp core, Gardevoir bops fighting mons that check Bisharp as well as Mega Sableye, allowing Bisharp to be amazeballs. They function well together in terms of breaking through bulky teams also. SubCM Keldeo added since the common checks to it (the Lati twins) are checked by both core members which gives Keldeo a lot of opportunity to put in work. Team so far is weak to bird spam so Landorus-t is added, also providing the role of the pivot. Lum Moxie Gyarados gives a better matchup vs offensive teams as well as birdspam, since I already have a solid core to beat slower bulky mons. Klefki added as an emergency button vs offensive teams because the team can otherwise struggle vs speed-boosting mons. Also provides hazard stack which helps Gyarados to clean up lategame as well as helping the main core get kills.

  9. Lopunny offense
  10. Lopunny / Gengar / Heatran / Latios / Landorus-t / Azumarill
  11. Start with Mega Lopunny and Gengar core. Running offensive Heatran as my SRer, this helps with the weakness to birdspam. Landorus-t is the scarfed revenge killer because having something with momentum can give opportunities for me to pull of a sweep. Latios fits in nicely because I have mons that beat the things that check it (TTar, Clefable, Bisharp, etc) and its presence gives a better matchup vs Keldeo who is otherwise a pain. Last mon is the sweeper, BD Azumarill, the other teammates do pretty well at beating its checks.
  12.
  13. Gallade bulky offense
  14. Gallade / Bisharp / Clefable / Rotom-W / Landorus-t / Gengar
  15. Started with Mega Gallade + Bisharp core. Lum on Bisharp allows it to beat Mega Sableye if Sableye comes in on an SD thinking it can force a switch. The core is hella weak to bird spam, so Rotom-w was thrown in since it also gives me a pivot to provide any setup opportunities with either core member. Gengar is added to give a better matchup vs Mega Altaria, Mega Slowbro and Mega Sableye, also has generally good offensive synergy with Bisharp and provides a better matchup vs stall. Landorus-t chosen as scarfmon because it forms a good VoltTurn core with Rotom-w, providing needed momentum to the core members since they rely a lot on being given free switch-ins in order to set up. Clefable chosen as the SRer because it is the most reliable counter to Mega Sableye which is a problem for Gallade and Bisharp once it has lost its Lum. Also generally checks a lot of mons to relieve pressure from other team members.

  17. Lopunny balance
  18. Lopunny / Gengar / Hippowdon / Ferrothorn / Starmie / Clefable
  19. Starting with Mega Lopunny and Gengar core, Lopunny is particularly good against offense and Gengar is a good stallbreaker, meaning it's likely that one of the two will provide a decent matchup vs the opponent. Lopunny struggles against physically bulky mons (Clefable, Chesnaught, Hippowdon, etc) which Gengar can check pretty well. Supporting the core with a hazard stack core of Hippowdon + Ferrothorn, the hazards coupled with Sandstorm damage aims to limit the safe switch-ins that my main core members provide. Starmie added since it beats the mons that can break through the defensive core, namely Keldeo, HP fire Latios and stallbreaker Talonflame as well as giving Rapid Spin support. Clefable added to provide a better matchup vs Mega Gallade and the Wish support provides some longevity to Ferrothorn as well as my main core members.
  20.
  21. Altaria balance
  22. Altaria / Mienshao / Raikou / Slowbro / Gliscor / Ferrothorn
  23. Starting with Mienshao + Raikou VoltTurn core to base the team around rather than having Mega Altaria be a part of the core. Chose Mienshao + Raikou in particular instead of the common Landorus-t + Rotom-w momentum core because my core has a better matchup vs balance / stall since common Raikou switchins (Chansey, Heatran, Ferrothorn, etc) are weak to fighting so breaking through bulky mons allows Altaria to clean up and allowing Altaria to be an important part of the team despite not being a part of the main core. Also Fake Out Mienshao lets me scout for movesets, e.g. to see if they have lefties on Landorus-t or Keldeo. Chose Ferrothorn as the SRer to give a better matchup vs Offense (since I already have a good matchup vs balance) by now having a check to the Lati twins and Mega Gyarados and stuff. Slowbro added to help the team vs Mega Metagross, Mega Charizard and SD Talonflame. Also gives me a good check to Mega Lopunny who can otherwise be difficult for the team. SD Gliscor added so I have a reliable answer to Calm Mind Clefable and to be able to check Bisharp.
