- ACT - separate download to check to see what is on users machines
- don't use software inventory, just scans hard drive for individual files and then tries to lookup header info, use HW inventory to get installed software
- turn off software metering automatic tracking rules (tracks standard OS stuff like NT kernel). create just rules what you want
- change software metering defaults for summarizing, defaults are at 7 days and 30 days
