  1. Moneybags118 - Today at 10:51 AM
  2. Hey man. So I've discussed it with dib and quiet and it's been decided that this last bout of inactivity will be... well, your last. It's been a long time coming and I've tried to put it off for as long as possible, but we've run out of options at this point. In March when you said it was because school was overwhelming we said that was fine and I convinced dib to give you a pass. However now we're past that and aside from the trmod run there hasn't been any improvement. It's been almost 6 months of this and we've come to the agreement that it's drug on long enough. I'm sorry that this has had to take place but for several reasons it's become unavoidable. I mean, its not even that I’m here 24/7. I get that it’s not always fun to devote all free time to SQ. When we went through that bugfixing/background development phase for a few weeks I took a breather and let the devs do their thing. But I find there to be a difference between that and what you’re doing. Once again, back to the creative server. Last thing I heard from you is that you ran into a large issue that you needed dib to fix. Now of course dib slipped out of the picture and that never happened, but you didn’t seem to pursue another dev to help you either. And neither I, quiet, ginger, or anyone else can keep up with you to make sure you’re doing the stuff that you were asked. If you’re not able to perform to the level we need you to and you don’t aspire to ask for help, then nothing gets done. And then the mods look at how you’re able to not do anything and keep your position and they think to themselves “well if the manager can do it, so can I.” And that’s ultimately the problem that we’re facing here.
  3. If anything we need you to take a decent sized break. Even then if you decide to come back it would have to be as an Admin. Again, I’m sorry it’s come to this. It's nothing personal by any means, but it is something that just needs to happen.

  5. I don't know what to say
  6. Can I talk to you over voice ?
  7. Moneybags118 - Today at 11:41 AM
  8. I can't at this time
  9. In a public place
  10. Liggo - Today at 11:42 AM
  11. Well it's gonna sound cliche but I've been meaning to talk about this for a while
  12. I didn't feel like I ever deserved to be a director.
  13.
  14. I can't contribute in the same way you guys can, for me being head of the mods was something I could do , something I could manage and deal with
  15.
  16. As soon as 3.0 collapsed it felt for me as if I'd had my shot and failed big time.
  17.
  18. 4.0 is your dream and as much as I'd like to be involved in design I don't have the creative ideas or ability to challenge what I feel are problems.
  19.
  20. All I want now is to just talk this and hopefully find the best deal for all of us and if that means me being fired completely then so be it.
  21. Moneybags118 - Today at 11:49 AM
  22. Were you planning on stepping out of Director to begin with?
  23. Liggo - Today at 11:53 AM
  24. Months ago I told you we needed to talk and then invited you to play paragon only to bail , I guess what I mean is i couldn't find the balls to admit defeat, I don't think I have a choice as far as being a director but if I did I wouldn't , the perks are nice but the work description isn't for me

  26. Apologies for the walls of text btw
  27. Moneybags118 - Today at 11:55 AM
  28. That is something I really needed to hear from you before today. I would have been totally fine with that, however you let it drag on for ages. I'd be more than happy to take you back as an Admin, but not until a break is had.
  29. Liggo - Today at 11:57 AM
  30. If I'm honest I didn't know who to say it to or how to say it not to mention admitting defeat feels like ripping a hole in your stomach and playing with your intestines. As far as a break, minimum length?
  31. Moneybags118 - Today at 11:58 AM
  32. But which would have been harder, admitting defeat or having to go through this?
  33. I'm going to say 6 months. It needs to at the very least look like you were fired to the rest of the modstaff because it shows them we take this stuff seriously
  34. If we let you come right back it's not going to convey a good message to them. If you had stepped down it would have been easier.
  35. Liggo - Today at 12:00 PM
  36. If you fire me for 6 months and then give me admin it's not going to look serious at all
  37. Moneybags118 - Today at 12:01 PM
  38. We've let mods come back before. 6 months gives it enough time in my opinion.
  39. Liggo - Today at 12:07 PM
  40. So I'm assuming there is no chance at all that I can make it look as if I've stepped down and then take the hiatus I wanted to take in the first place.?
  41. Moneybags118 - Today at 12:09 PM
  42. I made a front post containing a list of our current staff. I did not tell the community as a whole that you were removed or fired. However I told the mod team that you (and timelord as well) have been removed from the staff team
  43. Liggo - Today at 12:10 PM
  44. I would have like to be informed prior to this.
  45. Moneybags118 - Today at 12:12 PM
  46. Sorry, that was just part of the process. If I didn't outright tell them then all it will be is whispers that liggo got fired under shady circumstances (which they wouldn't even of had any evidence for other than we're mysteriously not talking about why you're gone)
  47. Liggo - Today at 12:14 PM
  48. They wouldn't have known i had been fired
  49. To me this just felt like the discussion changed from me getting fired which i'm completely fine with to a stab in the back which is what this is beginning to feel like
  50. Moneybags118 - Today at 12:18 PM
  51. Is there any other way to fire someone who has access to everything? Again, its not personal by any means. We did the same thing to timelord. We did the same thing to Stealthy back in the day. I'm sorry but this is just how it goes. And it's a little frustrating because this is something that we could have avoided if you had been honest with me. And trust me, I know how hard that is. But when you dont there are consequences eventually, this being them.
  52. Liggo - Today at 12:23 PM
  53. Money how was i meant to trust you, i was basically kicked out of a role i had by someone who had been inactive for months , i then spent the next few months trying to prove myself to a bunch of people who in my eyes had already decided i was a waste of space that didnt deserve to be involved in the discussions. The reason it took this long is because i burnt my entire life out trying to accomplish everything at once and still find more time to figure out and complete jobs on SQ. Over the last year i've given myself multiple health problems because i've been pushing myself to do the impossible to impress the three of you. You may think i'm joking but i'm not.
  54. I used to like SQ because i thought i'd met a group of smart friendly people who shared the same ideals as me and i wanted to help them forge something special out of nothing. That's what it felt like as a mod and as an admin, we had fun and we talked and played games together. I don't know where that dissappeared but i've lost my mojo ever since.
  55. Now apologies for wasting your time, i would love to keep being friends and to keep playing paragon if possible but i doubt you will want to after those last few messages. I know what i've done wrong and i know why i've done it , hopefully i'll see you in 6 months time.
  56. Moneybags118 - Today at 12:29 PM
  57. No I get it, I really do. I mean jeez, I'm not perfect either. I've made big mistakes and had to own up to them and it was awful. You're more than welcome to continue hanging out with us in KN and whatnot
  58. Liggo - Today at 12:29 PM
  59. Also i'm not sure if you are aware but time wasn't just being inactive Timelord 07/07/2016 Well, I wasn't absent persay
  60. To be honest, I've been dealing with depression on and off for a while. Coding was just about the last thing I wanted to do, but I knew that if I went inactive, I'd be fired. So I tried to maintain a semblance of working on things to keep my position.
  61. You're also the only person here I've told, and I'd prefer it remained that way
  62. Liggo - 07/07/2016
  63. Things begin to make a fair bit more sense and don't worry your secret is safe with me
  64. Timelord - 07/07/2016
  65. I feel bad about what I did. I even lied about having coded stuff on occasion
  66. Such as work on trees
  67. That's why it took so long.
  68. It wasn't written until a few weeks ago
  69. But this position is one of my favorite pastimes, and I didn't want to lose it. So I did the bare minimum of what I had to do to appear active, and it appears I didn't pull it off very well.
  70. Moneybags118 - Today at 12:30 PM
  71. Yeah it was pretty obvious something was up
  72. Idk, I dont understand why he would say it's his favorite pasttime but then never actually do any work
  73. Liggo - Today at 12:31 PM
  74. Depression?
  75. Moneybags118 - Today at 12:31 PM
  76. Yeah that I understand
  77. I read it again it makes more sense now
  78. If he would have told me that I would have allowed him to take a break
  79. Liggo - Today at 12:31 PM
  80. It's hard for those with mental illnesses to speak up about it
  81. the only reason he told me was because i was talking about his inactivity
  82. He had wanted to become a mod
  83. Moneybags118 - Today at 12:32 PM
  84. Yeah no I get that too. He could have left that part out and just asked for a break due to personal reasons. That would have sufficed
  85. Liggo - Today at 12:33 PM
  86. He talked to dib about it but the break was never enough
  87. Moneybags118 - Today at 12:33 PM
  88. It all boils down to "if you have the rank we need you to do things. If you are unable to do things that's fine, just please communicate that with us that you need a break or a change in position"
  89. I mean, quiet asked for a leave and we gave to him
  90. He owned up that he can't stick around and said he may be back someday
  91. Liggo - Today at 12:34 PM
  92. Quiet has 40+ years under his belt in dealing with irl situations
  93. A little unfair on the comparison :3
  94. Moneybags118 - Today at 12:35 PM
  95. Yeah I suppose, but the principle still holds
