  2. Jonny - Today at 2:00 PM
  3. Yo
  4. Jared - Today at 2:00 PM
  5. Hi
  6. Jonny - Today at 2:00 PM
  7. Julia is saying you have some predisposed issue with vaping or something?
  8. Jared - Today at 2:02 PM
  9. Yeah I don't like it, or any form of smoking/vaping of any kind. If that goes against your opinion sorry
  10. Jonny - Today at 2:02 PM
  11. But why are you bugging Julia about it?
  12. Jared - Today at 2:03 PM
  13. I wasn't, I was just trying to figure out her opinion fully
  14. I wanted to understand how she thought about it
  15. Jonny - Today at 2:04 PM
  16. You are telling her that she will get addicted?(edited)
  17. Jared - Today at 2:04 PM
  18. I said asked if she is worried about getting addicted and she said no
  19. Jonny - Today at 2:04 PM
  20. Atropious - Today at 1:50 PM
  21. because he's playing mr doctor man and trying to talk me out of it
  22. saying im gonna get super addicted to nicotine and then never be able to stop
  23. Jared - Today at 2:05 PM
  24. Yeah that's not true at all
  25. She is over did that
  26. I might have said that if she did use nicotine that it's hard to quit and 'if' (hypothetically) she did get addicted it would be hard to quit
  27. Jonny - Today at 2:06 PM
  28. It is MUCH less likely to get addicted to vaping than tobacco.(edited)
  29. Jared - Today at 2:07 PM
  30. I know that, I even know that you can control how much nicotine you want in your vape, but I also know that nicotine is a very powerful addictive substance
  31. I'm in healthcare, so I'm skeptical
  32. Jonny - Today at 2:08 PM
  33. Nicotine is addictive but the nicotine in an e-cig is much less than the nicotine in tobbaco. Not to mention other addictive things in tobacco.

  36. E-cigarettes less addictive than cigarettes | Penn State Univers...
  37. E-cigarettes appear to be less addictive than cigarettes for former smokers and this could help improve understanding of how various nicotine delivery devices lead to dependence, according to researchers.
  38. First is a study and the second one is an article from penn state university
  39. Jared - Today at 2:10 PM
  40. Yeah I know it's less addictive, I have done my research, but it's addictive none the less
  41. I'm just making sure she really wants to do it and she doesn't get herself into something she will get addicted to if she doesn't like, not to mention her father would most likely never want her to do it
  42. And he plays a big part of what she does
  43. Jonny - Today at 2:12 PM
  44. Of course her dad wouldn't want her to do it. The fact that smokers use vaping to quit, and that it is affective proves how much less addictive it is. Smokers generally switch to vaping and quit vaping after 3-6 months. Even ex-smokers can easily quit vaping.
  45. My point is that the concern of addiction is not very serious.
  46. Jared - Today at 2:14 PM
  47. There also is the fact that nothing in the world of vape is FDA approved or regulated
  48. Jonny - Today at 2:16 PM
  49. So? We still have plenty of studies about every single ingredient in e-liquid being vaporized and super heated.
  50. Jared - Today at 2:17 PM
  51. Yeah but there isn't enough studies that prove everything in vape is safe for your lungs or body in general, it's too new still
  52. Jonny - Today at 2:18 PM
  53. There are many studies about the ingredients and there are no alarming results.
  54. The ingredients are vegetable glycerin, propylene glycol, and food grade falvorings with a PG base.
  55. All of those are in foods and studies have revealed nothing concerning about inhaling them in vaporized form.
  56. Jared - Today at 2:22 PM
  57. There have been people who have been found to be allergic to some of those ingredients, especially propylene glycol
  58. Jonny - Today at 2:22 PM
  59. Yes
  60. Jared - Today at 2:22 PM
  61. Does she know she isn't?
  62. Jonny - Today at 2:23 PM
  63. People who are alergic to PG most of the time don't even realize it for a while. It's very rare to be severely alergic to it.
  64. That's like saying there is PG in foods so you shouldn't eat them in case you're allergic.
  65. Vaping is under more scrutiny than food because it's controversial.
  66. Jared - Today at 2:26 PM
  67. Also what about the mold and mildew that can grow in your lungs from the vaper
  68. Jonny - Today at 2:26 PM
  69. The VG is metabolized into sugar too quickly for mold to grow.
  70. Both PG and VG are anti-fungal.
  71. They're also both anti-bacterial and antiseptic. Glycerin soaps are actually used to treat fungal infections on the skin.
  72. By that logic steam vaporizers are bad because grow mold in your lungs.
