  1. > There has only ever been one person who "appreciated your feats".
  2. You wouldn't know every poster on DQN, unless the Superstructure had turned into an non-anonymous circlejerk (e.g. via IRC) which should feel be shameful for every member of it.
  3.
  4. > Whether people remain on topic or not is irrelevant; this topic does not need discussion.
  5. This is a ridiculous claim. The fact that people might go off-topic to discuss an interesting copype in CTRL+V thread (etc) doesn't mean that we should wreck havoc and cause a complete chaos here. Most of the folk know whenever it's appropriate to go off-topic. Practice makes perfect.
  6.
  7. > I thought long and hard before deciding to recommend people not to post in this thread again.
  8. No, you didn't. You would conclude that everyone here is capable of analytic thought and would act for the better of DQN and as a result you wouldn't post the obvious. Personally, I would rather let this thread sink to the very bottom, but, alas, your post was too fascinating to miss.
  9.
  10. > I don't mind people posting here and I'm not going to try to bury the thread.
  11. Thank you. I appreciate your decision.
  12.
  13. > Frankly, I don't believe you have posted anonymously at all since taking up your tripcode.
  14. Thanks again. However, typical mistakes are likely to give me out.
  15.
  16. > Is that such a terrible thing?
  17. Is shouting a terrible thing? It might be annoying, but it isn't terrible.
  18.
  19. > Do you mean to say that making ten posts in ten separate threads is somehow going to reduce the overall quality of this website?
  20. Yes, because current threads are the most important for users. Imagine if some villain bumped this thread repeatedly and you were stubborn enough. Eventually, others would start posting rashly which could cause the domino effect.
  21.
  22. > My two pieces of advice were [deletia]
  23. No, you also told everyone to stop posting even with sage. That's what I meant by "Why didn't you follow your own advice?" Hopefully, this is clear now.
  24.
  25. > I have always tried to make recommendations which are in the best interests of all involved
  26. Thank you. Sometimes they are unnecessary.
  27.
  28. > They rarely add anything to the discussion and all too often rely on poorly used jokes and references.
  29. This is how you want to perceive them. Good way to defame me.
  30.
  31. > Do other people really want to read that? Does it further the discussion? Is it actually funny?
  32. Come again?
  33.
  34. > You very rarely post in the collaborative threads
  35. "...with your tripcode." I prefer it this way for threads' sake.
  36.
  37. > Try posting anonymously a little.
  38. As I usually do.
