THE CORE

Just as the power of the Force binds all living things (except the Vohng), the Core binds together all mechanical intelligence. The two are both extensions of the creatures they unite. The Force relies on an organic being's powers of willpower (move object, force push, force crush), persuasion and empathy (mind trick), and biological processes (force perception, force healing). Conversely, the Core relies on the abilities of artificial life- their power generation (Core Shock, Core Heat), networking (Core Sensor, Core Message), processing speed (Core Slow, Core Senses), and their existence as data (Core Transmission). Just as droids are immune to many Force abilities, organic beings are immune to many powers of the Core.

 

Core Shock- Drawing on the power generation of other beings of the Core, the user unleashes a blast of electricity. This power resembles Force Healing, used to recharge disabled droids and mechanical devices, though it can be used offensively

Core Heat- By using the Core to bridge circuits, a Core user can cause a device to short circuit and build up heat rapidly, potentially causing it to explode. This only works on electronic or mechanical devices. This is a darkside power when used for purposes other than defense.

Core Sensor- by using the Core to reach out to nearby machines, a Core user can utilize their sensors to view the world around him.

Core Message- Using the linking power of the Core, a droid can transmit a message of 140 Galactic Basic characters or less. This distance reaches the intended machine regardless of distance or interference, but it won't do much good to transmit to a machine incapable of understanding it.

Core Slow- by drawing on the processing speed of nearby droids, a Core user can react at supernatural speeds. The world around him seems to crawl, allowing him more time to decide on a course of action.

Core Senses- Looking for subtle fluctuations in the Core, the user is able to detect nearby machinery. This extends from something as simple as a blaster to something as complex as a droid, and he is aware of the location and type (droid, tool, weapon, vehicle) of each machine.

Core Transmission- The core provides for its practitioners in much the same way as the Force. This power allows a droid to become a presence among the Core, much like a force ghost, able to communicate with still-functioning droids and transmit to communications equipment.
