I'm Marshall Mueller, I met you in 2013 at the FIRST Robotics Championship in St. Louis where you gave me your contact information.

We corresponded for a while, but after a while I hadn't heard from you, so I sent you a message to check in on you and you sent me a very detailed message outlining where I can look for internships. You also mentioned some tragedies that occurred in your life, and I felt that I was just being a nuisance that was begging for attention at a hectic time in your life, so I never responded. I really wish I had replied, but I didn't want to be a nagging wide-eyed high schooler in your busy life.

I'm hoping that you can give my some advice or tips now that I have a bit more relevant education and experience. I'm finishing my second year at the University of Wisconsin - Madison studying Computer Engineering and Computer Sciences, and over this summer I'll be working in a research lab on campus focused on human-robot interaction.

I'm still as awed as ever about JPL, and I would love to work there in the future. I would really like to hear any pointers you have as to how I can get there and what I can do best to increase my chances.

I'd also be interested in hearing about what work is like at JPL, and what you are working on, as it is very interesting to me.

I also hope that things are going better for you now in your personal life.
