<b>Installation Instructions</b>

 

Whirlpool Plus currently supports Firefox and Google Chrome. To install:

 

* If not already, download your preferred browser (<a href="http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/new/">Firefox</a> or <a href="https://www.google.com/intl/en/chrome/browser/">Chrome</a>)

* Download the plugin that uses the script.

** Firefox users, <b><a href="https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/greasemonkey/">install Greasemonkey.</b></a>

** Chrome users, <b><a href="https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/dhdgffkkebhmkfjojejmpbldmpobfkfo">install Tampermonkey.</a></b>

* Next, click <b><a href="http://userscripts.org/scripts/source/85217.user.js">this link</a></b> to install the script. A wizard will pop up - click 'Install' to install the script.

* You're done! To use the script or change settings, locate the <b>WP+ Settings</b> link in the Whirlpool Sidebar.

<b>FAQs</b>

 

<b>['Q: Why isn't my spell checker working when I use quick reply or reply to a post?']</b>

 

A: Sticky notes causes this, go into WP+ Settings and disable it, if you wish to use Firefox's built in spell checker.

 

<b>['Q: I click on 'Force Update' but nothing happens, what's wrong?']</b>

 

A: <a href="http://userscripts.org/">Userscripts.org</a> updater does not always work. If your 'Force update' does not work, you need to manually update it, by clicking on <b><a href="http://userscripts.org/scripts/source/85217.user.js">this link.</b></a> Select install, and continue with the wizard.

 

<b>['Q: Why is there double everything on my sidebar?']</b>

 

A: You have 2 scripts of WP+ going. Down in the right hand corner, right click on the Greasemonkey icon, click on one of the WP+ scripts, this will disable it. Refresh WP, see if its the correct and latest script by going into WP+ settings. If it isn't, simply enable it again by right clicking on the Greasemonkey icon, click on the WP+ script that is disabled, enabling it again.

 

<b>['Q: Is WP+ available on any other browser?']</b>

 

A: Not specifically WP+, but WLR (Whirlpool Last Read) with Quick-reply features is <a href="http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/58601"><b>available here.</b></a> It will work in most modern browsers. For a full list, check the link. <a href="http://forums.whirlpool.net.au/user/54877">Yansky</a> maintains this script.

A: This is the WLR (Whirlpool Last Read) - a function to help you keep track of the posts/threads you have visited and read. To turn this off, navigate to the WP+ Settings and untick it <a href="http://img804.imageshack.us/img804/8922/wlrdisable.png">as shown here</a>.
