  3. Okay, well first of all you should drop the idea of getting FE6 and FE7 to work together. Because when you sit down and look at it they really have nothing to do with each other, and that's okay. FE4 Gen 1 and 2 are branching the same overarching plot across two parts, which was necessary to continue the themes of the game. but FE7 and FE6 don't have this, they don't need to have this.
  4.
  5.
  6.
  7. Any attempt to connect them is either going to severely change FE7, or severely change FE6.
  8.
  9.
  10.
  11. But from a pacing perspective lets look at this
  12.
  13.
  14.
  15. In FE7, You go to Valor at about Mid-Game, it's revealed that Nergal is summoning a dragon, he does, it gets stopped and the game promptly goes "...Shit that was the big finish and I don't really have anything else" So it has Eliwood and Co. dick around with some references to FE6 until Nergal is ready to use the exact same finish. So off the bat you should never go to Valor in the early game.
  16.
  17.
  18.
  19. I personally would focus more on the conspiracy and its natural jumping points. So having the Laus uprising lead into Eliwood getting leads to Bern for his father, and for the Black Fang Mercenaries (because them being assassins it stupid) behind it. And a hint at Nergal, not a statement he's the final boss. From Lycia you go to Bern, and you unveil the machinations of the overall plot. Zephiel would be assassinated, the blame placed on Lycia, Lycia and Bern would go to war, Nergal collects all the Quintessence he could ever want. Desmond gets rid of his son and Laus is ripe for claiming the remnants of Lycia from Uthers dead hands.
  20.
  21.
  22.
  23. Now obviously you stop that, and THEN Eliwood learns about Nergals plan to summon a dragon, just the plan mind you, and has to go "Okay, we need something to actually fight a dragon" so then you go to Nabata to talk to Athos, and start the quest for the divine weapons, end the Black Fang Rebellion arc inside the cave of Roland, defending the Durandal.
  24.
  25.
  26.
  27. From there you go to Valor and jackpot, you successfully pace the game so at no point does it blow its climactic load, it builds up the entire time with an every growing threat and mystery, leading to a final confrontation.
  28.
  29.
  30.
  31. As for Manaketes in FE7? I already asked the wizard who's doing things for me (And has the Str/Mag split working perfectly in his own hack, to show you his credentials) on that project simply for myself (I want more manaketes in FE6, specifically one for Jahn). With the side note of finding out how it works exactly so we can nail it in other roms.
  32.
  33.
  34.
  35. But seriously, scrap trying to combine 6/7, it's not a good idea and just leads to grief and headaches over all.
  36.
  37.
  38.
  39. Also, I would have Elbert killed at the end of the game, Eliwood has tried so hard, stopped an uprising, saved Zephiel, destroyed the Rebellion, he's killed a damn dragon all in the sake of saving his father and it didn't matter how much he put in, he failed in the end.
  40.
  41.
  42.
  43. And then you set up a conditional and have his A support comfort him (And failing an A support, his mother) essentially saying that his father died because like Eliwood, he chose to do something he believed in, he saved Elibe at the cost of his life. Eliwood could never have saved him even if he had been able to turn back time, because Elbert died content. Add in a parallel to Nergal being unable to let his own grief go and you conclude Eliwoods arc.
  44.
  45.
  46.
  47. I would also redo all of Lyn Mode, because even without tutorials Lyn Mode is so terribly boring that I legitimately stopped paying attention in the middle of streaming it and still won.
  48.
  49.
  50.
  51. I would keep the overall plot, but work it into the grand scheme of things for Nergal, and less "Here's dozens of groups of bandits, have fun." So having Lundgren doing all this as apart of the Laus uprising. so instead of Lyns uncle just being a prick, he's a prick specifically working towards a goal contributing to the villains major plot.
  52.
  53.
  54.
  55. Also, I wouldn't place as much emphasis on the Ninian/Nils stuff, mostly because you want to keep Eliwood (and the player) in the dark until the reveal she's a dragon once she's kidnapped. Another suggestion given to me was that you could have Leila acting as informant across the game to give her some more development and help lead the player on (she pretty much gives you the perfect reason to go to Bern anyway, she just adds "but they're in Valor" to the end of her speech) until Nergal catches her out, has her killed, turned into a morph and sics her on the army.
  56.
  57.
  58.
  59. At that point Nergal becomes a SEVERE threat, has killed someone maybe players have grown to like, and has officially entered the shit list. However do not take this as something I fully back, because this means the relationship between Jaffar and Matthew changes, and while it may not be the best written, it is the most tense.
  60.
  61.
  62.
  63. So, in summation.
  64.
  65.
  66.
  67. Arc 0 - Lyn Mode
  68.
  69. ~Lyn in the prologue meets Nils, who's passing through Sacae and and searching for his sister (wont be playable until later) Also consider Kent/Sain, we want to cut down on the random bandit chapters needed to kick the plot into gear immediately. This gives Lyn her immediate motivation outside of "Hey lets go to Bulgar for some shit"
  70.
  71. ~Lundgren is working with Laus and the Black Fang Rebellion on the Lycian side of Nergals plan. He informs them of Lyn to make sure there are no potential problems. It's not that he fears Lyn taking the throne, but she could stumble upon something that could ruin the whole plot. Eventually Laus/Black Fang would abandon him to his death. keeping Lyn out of the loop overall, but still keeping Lyn Mode important.
  72.
  73. ~Cut down on bandit chapters to near 0, this will require rewriting how most of the legion joins, but saves on the samey "Fucking Bandits" early chapters.
  74.
  75.
  76.
  77. Arc 1 - The Laus Uprising
  78.
  79. ~Eliwoods initial lead is his father went missing in Laus, so his goal is to travel to Laus and discover what's up. Along the way he uncovers more of the plot to have Uther killed, his supporters arrested or murdered, and have Laus instilled as the new head of the Lycian Alliance.
  80.
  81. ~Ephidel is the agent working in Laus, he directs the different soldiers around to sow the seeds of rebellion and build up the hatred towards Ostia.
  82.
  83. ~Final chapter takes place in Ostia, with Eliwood stopping the Uprising right at its core. Darin escapes to Bern, Leila informs Eliwood of the Black Fang Mercenaries and directs him to Bern
  84.
  85.
  86.
  87. Arc 2 - The Assassination of Prince Zephiel
  88.
  89. ~Eliwood travels to Bern in an attempt to hunt down Darin (To locate his father) and stop the next part of the conspiracy
  90.
  91. ~Desmonds plot is simple, have the Lycian refugees attack Zephiels manor and murder him, then frame Lycia for the assassination of the prince, destroy it, and place Darin on the throne as a puppet ruler.
  92.
  93. ~Ursula is the agent attached to the Bern faction, She gave shelter to the Lycian soldiers, and was in the ear of Desmond on exactly how to get rid of his son at the same time as expanding Berns territory.
  94.
  95. ~The Final Chapter takes place at Zephiels manor, with Eliwood preventing the Assassination, being joined by Nino and Jaffar, and learning that Nergals plan is to summon dragons.
  96.
  97. ~Leila who informs them of the dragons, directs them towards Uther, who directs them towards Athos (Or something else, cause otherwise how does Uther even know Athos is out there?) ALTERNATIVELY Hellene directs them towards Pent and Louise as thank you, and those two direct them towards Athos (Makes a lot more sense. The relationship from Hellene and Louise changes slightly though, mostly them being in contact) If Erk is alive, have him chime in as well. If he isn't then nothing happens, simple as that.
  98.
  99.
  100.
  101. Arc 3 - The Death of the Black Fang
  102.
  103. ~Eliwood and company travel to Nabata, potentially stopping in Lycia to meet up with Uther, and go to meet with Pent.
  104.
  105. ~Pent directs them to Athos, who relates how he knows Nergal, and that they'll need the Divine Weapons.
  106.
  107. ~Athos use a warp staff to send them to Brammimond, who puts them through a death trap getting out of the Shrine of Seals, upon completion, Brammimond agrees to release the seals.
  108.
  109. ~Brammimond attempts to send them back to Nabata, but can't, he then attempts to Re-Warp to Nabata, but can't.
  110.
  111. ~If you fulfil conditions, Brammimond directs you towards a Gaiden for the Sol Katti, if not, he just warps you to Lycia
  112.
  113. ~At Lycia, Uther and Ostia are under attack by the remnants of the Laus Uprising, leading to the death of Darin finally and the end of the uprising. He directs them towards Rolands Cave for the Durandal.
  114.
  115. ~The Black Fang have set up shop in the cave, Brendan, Sonia, everyone. They have to stop Eliwood here or die trying.
  116.
  117. ~They die trying.
  118.
  119. ~Eliwood claims Durandal, kills Ninian Dragon. Shit's gotten real. (This should be a boss battle)
  120.
  121.
  122.
  123. Arc FINAL - Valor
  124.
  125.
  126.
  127. ~Eliwood and company seek passage to Valor, seek out Fargus (Using Dart as a connection, have him join at another time?)
  128.
  129. ~Eliwood is still in shock that they killed Ninian
  130.
  131. ~Leila is killed on Valor by Nergal, reanimated as a Morph
  132.
  133. ~Leila Morph confronts the army once they land, They finally realize that Nergal is throwing literally everything at them.
  134.
  135. ~The reason they couldn't warp to Valor (or to Nabata) was because of Kishuna. He's an Anti-Magic field generator, he covers Valor in a field that stops scrying/teleporting, and close enough he just flat out stops magic (Also answers the question of why Nergal made an Anti-Magic Morph in the first place, to hide from Athos and stop him from finishing the job. And he sent Kishuna to Nabata to stop him from warping out or other people warping there.
  136.
  137. ~Nergal throws more Morphs at the party as they traverse across Valor, my focus would be on "Gut Punch" morphs. People who would cause pain for the army to fight against (Not Uhai, who the fuck cares about Uhai?)
  138.
  139. ~Final morph killed is Kishuna, and Athos warps in, since he had spent the time scrying and finally found them once Kishuna was dead
  140.
  141. ~Eliwood makes it to Nergals Shrine, Nergal is attempting to summon a dragon. Elbert stabs him and gets blasted for his troubles.
  142.
  143. ~Nergal is defeated, Dragon emerges.
  144.
  145. ~Dragon is killed, Athos dies. Brammimond uses Valkyrie-substitute (using himself as fuel) to bring back Ninian (For the record, I hate this, because why doesn't he bring back Elbert if the player isn't A-Supporting Ninian? but if he brings back Elbert it misses the point for Eliwood. The loss through victory theme. Whole thing is bupkus, but I'm trying to keep semi-to what FE7 already did. My opinion would be to leave them dead or not kill Ninian and just leave Elbert dead.)
  146.
  147. ~A support comforts Eliwood
  148.
  149. ~Ending
  150.
  151. ~Epilogue
  152.
  153.
  154.
  155.
  156.
  157. I would potentially go into more detail, but it's 5:28 AM here, so happy new year, if you need to discuss anything I'm open to it. this will need to be broken down into a chapter-by-chapter pacing, but those are some outlines. And in the end those are majorly my opinions intermixed with others.
