- No Child Left Behind . The No Child Left Behind Act, the landmark legislation created in 2002, continues to make an impact on education today. However, there is a push to revise many elements of this act. Search for two articles in the Ashford Online Library to read and review on opponents and proponents of NCLB.
- In a 2-3 page paper (excluding title and reference pages):
- a. Provide a description of No Child Left Behind and explain why people oppose or support the act.
- b. Explain and defend your view of No Child Left Behind and how it fits into your educational experiences.
- c. Assess the current status of No Child Left Behind today and describe what changes are being proposed.

- Writing and Researching Skills Self-Assessment . Writing and researching are essential elements to teaching and learning. Early in this week, complete the following exercises:
- a. Review the “Research Guides” section in the Ashford Writing Center to assist you in understanding academic research methods.
- b. Complete the Avoiding Plagiarism tutorial.
- Develop a three-page reflective paper (excluding title and reference pages) describing what you have learned about yourself, your current writing, and research skills through the completion of these activities.
- Organize your paper into the following sections:

- d. Growth Plan
- e. Conclusion
- Remember to format and cite all references using APA style .
- Lesson Plan Critique . Obtain, from the internet or a school, a lesson plan that you believe is of high quality and could be used in your current or future classroom. Critique the lesson plan by examining the objectives, activities, and assessments provided. Organize your critique in the following manner:
- a. Introduction: Type of lesson, grade level, subject, etc.
- b. Objective
- c. Activities
- d. Assessment
- e. Conclusion: Why you would use this plan
- Attach the lesson plan with your critique. This assignment should not exceed two pages (not including the title and reference pages). You must cite your reference
