  1. I'm just throwing this out here o3o
  2.
  3. Judging from how in the past we have not banned Rain Dance + Swift Swim Combo, I'd hardly say that we really need a ban on this Swift Swim + Drizzle combo.
  4.
  5. Okay fine, it's strong, we've seen terrors from Swift Swim Pokemon like Ludicolo and Kingdra and Kabutops. BUT! Remember Gen 5 where we didn't ban this? Why so? Because it isn't that strong. I'm fairly sure that Kingdra with Focus Energy, Ludicolo with Life Orb and Kabutops with Choice Band are all terrors known to us which were manageable in Gen 5 itself.
  6.
  7. For examples:
  8. 252+ Atk Life Orb Kabutops Stone Edge vs. 252 HP / 88+ Def Ferrothorn: 71-86 (20.1 - 24.4%) -- possible 6HKO after Leftovers recovery
  9. 252+ Atk Life Orb Kabutops Stone Edge vs. 252 HP / 212+ Def Rotom-W: 153-181 (50.3 - 59.5%) -- 76.6% chance to 2HKO after Leftovers recovery (If no flinch, its a burn and geegee)
  10. 252+ Atk Life Orb Kabutops Stone Edge vs. 248 HP / 136+ Def Mandibuzz: 330-390 (78 - 92.1%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery (Unfortunately Foul Play from it does quite a dent but doesn't take it down completely)
  11. 252+ Atk Life Orb Kabutops Stone Edge vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Breloom: 127-151 (48.6 - 57.8%) -- 94.9% chance to 2HKO Who can retaliate with Mach Punch, dealing a dent and ensuring recoil kills it in 2-3 hits.
  12. 252+ Atk Life Orb Kabutops Waterfall vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Conkeldurr in Rain: 266-316 (75.7 - 90%) -- guaranteed 2HKO who Can OHKO with Drain Punch
  13. -1 252+ Atk Life Orb Kabutops Waterfall vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Mega Manectric in Rain: 204-242 (72.5 - 86.1%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
  14.
  15. Let's take a look at Ludicolo:
  16. 252+ SpA Life Orb Ludicolo Hydro Pump vs. 0 HP / 252 SpD Assault Vest Conkeldurr in Rain: 208-246 (59.2 - 70%) -- guaranteed 2HKO Drain Punch stall is something I haven't try, so correct me if this Ludicolo can kill Conkeldurr
  17. 252+ SpA Life Orb Ludicolo Hydro Pump vs. 252 HP / 0 SpD Mega Venusaur in Rain: 129-152 (35.4 - 41.7%) -- guaranteed 3HKO
  18. Take note that this beast of a thing while OP has 239x2 = 478 Speed. Which as seen above can be outsped by: Choice Scarf Thundurus-T or anything above base 101, including Sludge Wave Landorus, Scarf Keldeo (too bad ain't an OHKO with Secret Sword coz 252 SpA Keldeo Secret Sword vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Ludicolo: 186-219 (61.7 - 72.7%) -- guaranteed 2HKO), Scarf Terrakion (252 Atk Terrakion Close Combat vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Ludicolo: 262-309 (87 - 102.6%) -- 18.8% chance to OHKO, KO with Life Orb recoil/rocks).
  19.
  20. Kingdra on the other hand......
  21. 252+ SpA Life Orb Kingdra Hydro Pump vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Mega Gardevoir in Rain: 239-282 (86.2 - 101.8%) -- 18.8% chance to OHKO (Unless you're really really really unlucky)
  22. 252+ SpA Life Orb Kingdra Draco Meteor vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Latias: 291-346 (79.9 - 95%) -- guaranteed 2HKO (0 SpA Life Orb Latias Draco Meteor vs. 0 HP / 0- SpD Kingdra: 460-541 (158 - 185.9%) -- guaranteed OHKO)
  23. 252+ SpA Life Orb Kingdra Hydro Pump vs. 252 HP / 24+ SpD Florges in Rain: 192-227 (53.3 - 63%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery (0 SpA Florges Moonblast vs. 0 HP / 0- SpD Kingdra: 264-312 (90.7 - 107.2%) -- 37.5% chance to OHKO, OHKO-ing with MoonBlast with Recoil)
  24. 252+ SpA Life Orb Kingdra Draco Meteor vs. 252 HP / 0 SpD Rotom-W: 231-273 (75.9 - 89.8%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery (I'd love to see the drops)

  27. BYou're telling me fire's getting abused? Well, you try using Kabutops at +2 to kill a Mega Venusaur, or Ludicolo. Furthermore, we're talking about type matchups here. Sure thing that it's unfair and stuff, but to be really really honest if a fire team's not prepared for rain dance you're still going to get screwed, even in gen 5. It's like saying that grass stands a match against fire or that Dark stands a chance against Fairy. It's not impossible, it's just hard, and I believe that's the way monotype battles have been.
  28.
  29. Rain Dance teams have always been usable, and it's just unpopular because there's the issue of countering other types like Electric and Grass, which I'd like to point out that if you manage to fend of electric and grass with a Swift Swim Abuse team with Ludicolo, Kindgra and Kabutops with Drizzletoed Support, I'd completely salute you for being so great at water Pokemon and will most likely reconsider the words I'm saying (hey, I'm a noobie okay :< )
  30.
  31. So in all seriousness, if you really think it is unfair for the Metagame to let this Swift Swim Drizzle run rampant, at least do water types a justice and stop that goddamn Excadrill with Hippowdon or ban Chlorophyll/Sunny Day, Sandstorm/SandRush AND RainDance/SwiftSwim all together. (tbh I'm actually fine if chlorophyll isn't banned, after all it boosts grass type's weakness)
  32.
  33. So please reconsider what I said guys!
  34.
  35. P.S. Yes I know I suck, so if you like to flood how wrong I am, go ahead! I'm still learning how to do Pokemon properly ;)
