  1. The chapter starts off with Yamada saying “The cake I like is strawberry cake…” and then the usual bits about how she’s dating someone in her class, but they’re both girls. At the end of the school day, Kase asks if Yamada is free that day, because Kase should be able to leave earlier that day. Yamada innocently asks, why don’t you come over to my place? Which results in a slightly flustered Kase, hehe. Yamada mentions how she had gone to Kase’s place the last time, so Kase should go over to her (Yamada’s) place this time. Yamada also tells Kase to relax as no one else would be at home before night. Kase says okay, blushes, goes into a daze as she says see you later to Yamada, and ends up hitting the door as she leaves the classroom (lol).

  3. Mikawacchi asks Yamada if [inviting Kase to her house] was really a good idea, resulting in a confused Yamada because Mikawacchi goes to her house all the time too, right? Mikawacchi responds that well, she’s not quite the same to Yamada as Kase is to her, and that she had no idea at which stage Yamada and Kase’s relationship was at. This results in a nervous Yamada as she waits for Kase – she cleans up her house and has an internal monologue blaming Mikawacchi for saying “strange things” which are making her have “weird ideas”.

  5. The bell finally rings and Kase arrives, with some cake that makes Yamada very happy. She also thinks whew, it’s great that Kase is acting as she normally does. Yamada brings Kase to her room, at which Kase is a little stunned (at how clean and girly it is, I suppose). Yamada goes down to get some tea for Kase – on the way down, she’s blushing and thinking oh my gosh, having Kase in her room is making her a lot more embarrassed than she imagined, but it’s also something that makes her really happy. When Yamada returns, she finds Kase sitting on the floor, with her head buried under the quilt/blanket on Yamada’s bed (lol). Yamada asks if Kase was not feeling well, and Kase nervously brushes it off and said that it was just that the bed looked really comfortable…
  6. Kase and Yamada talk about the books in Yamada’s room – Kase picks up a book and Yamada explains that it’s a “National Trust” book about England’s environment and says that she’d like to go to England someday as it’s a paradise for people who like gardening. Kase is a little shocked that Yamada wants to go to England, but she explains that she just wants to go there for a holiday, and not live there. Kase is a little awed and says that Yamada is really great. Yamada tells Kase not to scrutinise her room and invites Kase to start eating the cakes she’s brought.

  8. Kase very cutely gives Yamada the strawberry on her cake because she knows Yamada loves strawberries, to which Yamada protests because the strawberry is the most important part of the strawberry shortcake. Kase ends up feeding the strawberry to Yamada, and licks her fingers after that, resulting in a blushing Yamada :D
  9. Kase notes that Yamada’s room is really full of greenery, and totally different from her room which more closely resembles a gym. Kase says that this is the first time she’s in such a cute room and asks if most girls’ rooms are the same. Yamada asks, hasn’t Kase been to the rooms of other friends, such as from the track club? Kase says she doesn’t really go to other people’s houses, and she stopped going to friends’ houses after elementary school as she became busy with running. A wide-eyed Yamada then asks, what about the rooms of her girlfriends, but Kase doesn’t really respond – she just goes “what?” and then asks if she can have a second slice of cake. As Kase gives Yamada another strawberry, Yamada is still thinking, what about the rooms of Kase’s previous girlfriends… But she looks at Kase and thinks, forget it, Kase is Kase and even if I mind this, there’s nothing much I can do. If I think more and more about it, it’ll just make me sad. It’s enough that I’m by Kase’s side now! (Plus I get to eat such delicious cake!)
  10.
  11. All of a sudden, Kase asks if Yamada would be okay with “doing it” with her, and hesitantly asks if [she] “…could or could not”. Yamada is a little confused and thinks, “could or could not what? Do what?” while Kase blushes furiously. Yamada thinks, does Kase mean kissing and did she want to kiss now? Yamada decides that she also felt a little like wanting to kiss Kase, and says “okay, if Kase wants to…” before adding “but oh let me finish my cake first!”. Yamada also thinks, why is Kase specially asking about this today? This actually makes it more embarrassing…
  12.
  13. Kase then starts laughing and says that Yamada probably didn’t understand what Kase meant. Kase apologises and says she thought that Yamada had the same thinking as her and that because Yamada invited her to her room, Kase momentarily did not think straight. Yamada protests and says that she understood, but Kase says that she’s bluffing and totally did not understand. Yamada insists that she’s not bluffing and that she really understood, because she also wanted to…
  14. But before Yamada can finish, Kase pushes Yamada on the bed, leans over her and asks, “really, Yamada…? They end up making out and Yamada notices/feels Kase’s boobs… Then Kase grabs Yamada’s hand and places it on her boob, and says that she wants to officially date Yamada, and it’s not just about kissing…
  15.
  16. The chapter ends with Yamada thinking, this has happened too suddenly and that it gave her a huge shock. And that Kase’s boobs feels even softer than the strawberry shortcake….
