Subject: [GANDI] Rules and price update for .SO domain names


Hello,

This mail is being sent to you because you are the billing contact of
one or more .SO domains at Gandi, under handle RK479-GANDI. :

Please be informed that the technical provider in charge of .SO domain
names will change on July 8 of this year. This means that SONIC will be
replacing the current technical provider, GMO, in the management of
domains registered under the .SO extension. This change will be
accompanied by the adoption of new registry rules, that notably modify
the eligibility criteria and introduce new restrictions pertaining to
the utilisation of and content that is associated to .SO domain names.

In preparation of this migration, starting on June 9, the following
changes will also be implemented by the registry:
 - limiting the renewal period to only 1 year (it is currently possible
to renew up to 9),
 - increase in the renewal price to $102.60 (€85.50 / £) excl. VAT per
year, (it is currently $19 (€14 / £12.50) excl. VAT in A rates),
  - halting of new registrations until further notice

Consequently, if you would like to keep your .SO domains, we strongly
encourage you to renew them before the implementation of these new
conditions, which are set to take effect on June 9 of this year.
