  1. Prerequisites:
  2.
  3. Before you start playing Frontline, you need to aquire Teamspeak 3 for ingame communications. (http://www.teamspeak.com/downloads)
  4. This will enable you to communicate with other players ingame and between missions which is vital to Frontline gameplay.
  5.
  6. Addons/Modifications:
  7.
  8. Before you can successfully connect to our servers you must have the required addons downloaded.
  9. If you don't already have some of the required addons, they can take a considerable amount of time to download.
  10. We recommend using the Launcher (http://get.frontline.frl) as its the easiest/fastest way to ensure all mods are properly installed.
  11.
  12. Required Addons include @RHSUSAF, @RHSAFRF, @RHSGREF, @Bozcaada and @Frontline.
  13.
  14. Downloading The Launcher:
  15.
  16. The launcher is by far the easiest way to get connected to the Frontline server. Using the launcher will ensure all mods are 100%
  17. sync'd with the server, as well as connect you to the server and teamspeak in about 5 clicks. To use the launcher effectively, use the steps below.
  18.
  19. 1. Run the Launcher
  20. 2. Click Update (if necessary)
  21. 3. Configure Directory (Options Button)
  22. 4. Install
  23. 5. Play
  24.
  25. Connecting To The Server:
  26.
  27. If using the Launcher this will be done automatically.
  28. If you use other methods to update/manage your mods, you'll need to connect manually.
  29. To do so, you'll want to ensure all mods are up to date before connecting to the server.
  30. Once done, you'll need the server IP and port, as well as a password, which can all be found below.
  31.
  32. Game Server:
  33. IP: TO BE ADDED
  34. PORT: TO BE ADDED
  35.
  36. Teamspeak Server:
  37. IP: TO BE ADDED
  38. PORT: TO BE ADDED
  39.
  40. Upon joining the server:
  41.
  42. After joining the server and loading into the mission, you'll be prompted with a Squad/Spawn Menu
  43. This is where you'll join, create and leave squads, as well as pick your role.
  44. Upon joining a squad, you should always ask the squad leader which kits he/she would like you to pick to ensure the squad-roles are properly manned.
  45. After selecting your role, you'll need to spawn at the nearest FO/SRP/Flag, which is located at the bottom right of the screen.
  46. The rest is pretty self explainatory, if you have any questions be sure to ask others for help!
  47.
  48. Advance And Secure Gamemode:
  49.
  50. Teams compete for control of a flag in a controlled order. The more flags your team holds, the less amount of ticketbleed your team suffers.
  51. Controlling a flag allows your team to spawn at the previous uncontested flag. Doing so will spawn you randomly within the zone.
  52. After capturing a flag, there's a timer before progress can be made on capturing the next. This ensures both teams have adequate timing to defend their zone.
  53. The team that reaches 0 tickets first loses the round.
  54.
  55. Gameplay Mechanics:
  56.
  57. Roles:
  58.
  59. Each role in the squad has its own use and will be described below.
  60.
  61. Squad Leaders: Ability to deploy Squad Rallypoints and Forward Outposts.
  62. Rifleman: Basic Infantry with a medium range scope. No other real benefits.
  63. Machine Gunner: Equipped with a Squad Automatic Rifle, useful for suppressing enemy.
  64. Grenadier: Underbarrel grenade launcher mounted on their basic rifle. Useful for suppressing infantry and creating smoke screens for infantry.
  65. Combat Engineer: Shotgun and explosives. Great for clearing buildings and CQB. Breaching Charges can be used to safely take down walls, while Explosive Charges can bring down buildings!
  66. Combat Medic: Heals friendly units faster and equipped with alot of medical supplies. Self explainatory.
  67. Rifleman(AT): Equipped with Anti-Tank Launchers. Useful for destroying vehicles.
  68.
  69. Radio/Direct Usage:
  70.
  71. Communication is key. Being able to communicate with your squad and those around you is necessary for teamwork, and very easy to do.
  72. Direct Communications(talking to those around you) is done by pressing your Teamspeak Push To Talk button. Configure this inside your teamspeak settings.
  73. Squad Radio allows you to talk to everyone in your squad without needing to be nearby them. Default for this is Caps Lock.
  74. As a Squad Leader(only), you can use a team radio to coordinate with other squad leaders. Default for this is Left CTRL+Caps Lock.
  75.
  76. Forward Outposts:
  77.
  78. Forward Outposts allow your entire team to spawn at that location.
  79. You can also use a Forward Outpost to rearm every 5 minutes.
  80. To deploy a Forward Outpost, you must be a Squad Leader and have 2 other people nearby.
  81.
  82. Deployment Restrictions:
  83. Max Distance From Friendly Controlled Zones: 400m (default)
  84. Min Distance To Enemy Controlled Zone: 200m (default)
  85. Min Distance To Other FO: 400m (default)
  86.
  87. You can block enemy Forward Outposts by having 2 or more people within 75 meters.
  88. This prevents the other team from spawning there, and will eventually destroy the Forward Outpost after blocking it for so long.
  89.
  90. Squad Rallypoints:
  91.
  92. Squad Rallypoints allow your squad mates to spawn at that location.
  93. You can also use a Rallypoint to rearm every 5 minutes.
  94. To deploy a Rallypoint, you must be a Squad Leader, but require no nearby teammates.
  95.
  96. Deployment Restrictions:
  97. Min Distance To Enemy Zone: 100m (default)
  98. Limited Deployed Timer: 1m 30s (default)
  99. SRP Placement Cooldown: 2m (default)
