Greetings citizens of the Dominion.

 

I am Abdul Tyson, Chancellor of the Factional Assembly.

 

I know many of you are frightened or confused about today's events that went down during the senate meeting today. I wish to explain our actions, and our well guided reasons for taking this action.

 

The FDC could not try and enforce the peace, as The Senate tied there hands. The LED were held back by the grip of The Senate, and could not enforce law. The GoM could not have there Free Trade Zone with out the senate ordering violence against them. The senate complicated almost every matter of daily life in The Dominion.

 

Primarily, a major flaw in the senate was how much power had been granted to them. The senate had the sole ability to create law, completely within. The senate had been the interpreters of law, discussing actions of others and deciding if a faction or group was at fault. With the newest power granted to them, they were now also the direct enforcers of law, having complete uncontested control over the Dominion Agencies. They tried for a power grab that gave them too much power, and we had to step up and limit it. They acted as if they knew what was best for the various factions, and refused to consult us for anything.

 

We approached them with ideas, trying to find compromise, yet they refused to listen to us, they wouldn't even take time out of there days to speak with us. It was for this reason, we as the factional leaders decided. Leaders of the eight recognized factions of The Dominion, whom had been at odds and war for years, gathered in concern over the growing power of the senate. We approached the Senate and made several pleas to grant us their ears, to hear the concerns of those elected leaders of our officers, workers, soldiers and followers. These pleas were ignored, pushed aside as worthless and no show of respect was granted. It was then we all came to an agreement, the senate's power had gone to their head, they could not remain in total control any longer. They have been removed and we have instilled the Factional Assembly, a collective of the leadership of all eight recognized factions, to continue until a compromise can be made.

 

The Factional Assembly's role is to discuss political relations between the factions. The Senate continuously proposed legislation which only managed to inflame hostilities between the various factions. It is for this reason, the factional leaders of the Dominion Agencies, Corporations, and Clans, came together on Aurelia, under the guidance of the GoM to discuss our current position.
