  1. Welcome back everyone.
  2.
  3. Today's guide will be a little different from the usual.
  4.
  5. While there are plenty of new weapons to cover, there are also more types of zombies.
  6.
  7. Today we will be covering the EMZ zombie.
  8.
  9. The EMZ zombie spawns alongside the normal zombie hordes starting at either the 7th or 8th waves.
  10.
  11. An EMZ looks very similar to a normal exo-zombie.
  12.
  13. What's different about it is it's blue eyes and blue glow.
  14.
  15. When shot the EMZ will bleed a light blue liquid instead of regular blood.
  16.
  17. In the early rounds, the EMZ zombies spawn in very low numbers, usually will only see one or two per round.
  18.
  19. However, in the higher rounds, you will see up to 4 or 5 EMZ's per horde of zombies.
  20.
  21. The EMZ behaves in the exact same way as a regular exo-zombie, but is capable of producing a small EMP blast.
  22.
  23. This blast is triggered when the EMZ either hits a survivor or a survivor happens to exo-boost near an EMZ.
  24.
  25. Anyone who happens to be within melee range of an EMZ when it activates it's EMP blast will have their exo-suit disabled and their vision distorted.
  26.
  27. As the rounds progress, the EMZ's range of attack will increase, making them more of a nuisance, and hindering your ability to enter high rounds.
  28.
  29. It is important to avoid EMZ's and target them over other zombies- as they are by far the most dangerous zombies you will face.
  30.
  31. While they may deal the same damage and move at the same speed as a regular exo-zombie, their EMP effect is incredibly dangerous and will eliminate your chances of getting out of any corner using your exo-suit.
  32.
  33. In order to deal with EMZ's, there are a couple things to keep in mind.
  34.
  35. The EMP blast will only take effect AFTER you exo-boost.
  36.
  37. This allows you to boost jump over a relatively large horde even if EMZ's are present.
  38.
  39. However, you will not be able to exo-boost while in the air due to the EMP effect, so make sure that you can actually survive the jump across without requiring a mid-air boost.
  40.
  41. For dispatching EMZs you will need a weapon that is capable of shooting through any zombies in the way to hit those EMZs in the center of the pack.
  42.
  43. You will also need a relatively accurate weapon with high damage, something that allows for killing one target at a time with ease.
  44.
  45. You might think that the Lynx sniper rifle is a good candidate.
  46.
  47. You would be wrong.
  48.
  49. With how close quarters the Atlas facility is, weapons designed for long range combat will be ineffective.
  50.
  51. The Lynx has little use at a close range, and due to the speed of the exo-zombies, you won't be able to hold a position and pick off the EMZs
  52.
  53. A more suitable weapon is the Cel-3 Cauterizer - an accurate, high damage shotgun with good penetration.
  54.
  55. Since it is a shotgun, close range combat won't be a problem- and with it's high accuracy, it will be able to pick off any EMZs hiding amongst the pack of zombies.
  56.
  57. Remember, you must always be aware of your surroundings and be sure that you aren't shooting at an EMZ from far away while a nearby group of zombies attacks from behind.
  58.
  59. Training, as some call it, is an excellent tactic for both survival and picking out EMZs.
  60.
  61. Gathering up an entire horde before killing any zombies will allow you to more safely pick away at the EMZs while keeping all other angles void of threats.
  62.
  63. If you happen to have any companions, you could elect a member of your group to kill the EMZs while the rest focus on the bigger picture.
  64.
  65. This strategy requires the group to stick together as that way all EMZs will come to one location and the elected survivor can pick off all of the EMZs from one location and all other members can exo-boost more freely.
  66.
  67. We hope you have enjoyed this episode.
  68.
  69. Next time will be covering the Saiga 12.
  70.
  71. Good luck.
