A thief by trade, Champion has operated in the underbellies of the Enclave's isolated society before being caught and tried, but by some miracle ended up simply being branded a Dashite instead of rotting in prison or worse. Having reached the surface, Champion found himself immediately involved with a band of mostly incompetent and insane mercenaries lacking the faintest ideals of decency and professionalism. His aloof nature was compounded by the righteous contempt underlining his every interaction with the group, culminating in a betrayal that saw most of them scattered with Champion left to reap the rewards of his connivance.

His wrongdoings had far worse repercussions than predicted, and before long a former comrade reached his doorstep with the intent of setting things right, through words rather than blood. A compromise was reached, and the interloper trotted out into the wasteland, seemingly satisfied with the developments.

For ten years has Champion lived under this agreement, though he considers it not to be entirely unpleasant. It's a condition that allows him to be left alone to steal in peace, which in this world is more than any thief had any right to ask.
