lollaziness. True though, everyone, lead+ and lead- have been getting more and more lazy. Though, I do believe there's reasons to it. Some of which you pointed out in your first post.

 

Attitudes: In this, I include players and admins alike, and how they act towards us as admins. We're not (hope it stands out enough) robots. We're people trying to play and enjoy a game too. As most of you know, before MTA I was running a Garrysmod Community with a close friend of mine, we had an admin team comprising of around 10 or so if I recall correctly. But it was simple. It was relaxed, and everyone got on. Of course, MTA is different, that was Sandbox, this is roleplay, and with a bigger admin team, but, it is still achievable. It just relies on you as a person actually being mature and giving a damn. We came here to play a game, and offer our help to the players and server to help improve it. Not to sit here and get into arguments. What would you rather do; Sit with power and argue at everyone, ending up pissed off where you don't log in for a few days. Or play another game like Battlefield 3 where you'll have fun and enjoy yourself? I know which I'd pick.

 

Motivation: This is something that the majority of us lack, which, links to a lot of the other issues (maybe you're starting to see that all of the issues posted and stated are affecting each other.) I believe Courtez has a post up in the lead+ area which I'm hoping he'll keep going, and I'll actually bump it, because that was related to this topic.

 

Of course there's more issues that build into this, but I'd be here forever if I wrote out about every single issue.

 

 

 

Always look on the bright side of life. Do do, do do do do do do. Couldn't put it better. The way I've seen admins acting towards each other, and, granted, I've been a dick too, is not right. My statement in the previous point should sum this up enough, though. We're here to play a game, relax, and help out the players. Not slave away like a second job along side our education/job IRL. If we wanted that, we might as well find some online job which we actually get paid for. Then all the stress and BS would be more worth it because, hey look, making moneeeyyy!

 

It's not hard to put a cover over your anger. We're not 10. We're all at least of the age of 14 / 15 that I am aware of, we're all civil and mature people that can speak in such a way. So why don't we? If X subject pisses you off, try to remain calm, If you feel you're unable to do so, then, walk away for 10minutes or so, come back later, and THEN be calm and civil about the matter.

 

 

 

Stop being biased in writing a post about being biased. Biased. Biased... GOD THIS DAMN WORD. "You're biased!" I see slung around -TOO FUCKING MUCH-. And it drives me fucking crazy.

Effectively if you are biased, you are not looking into the two sides of the story. You are not seeing the whole picture. Yet people try to find each and every little excuse to throw this word and phrase around. Prime example;

 

If I go near LSPD and try to offer support, or deal with one of their members breaking a rule? I get shouted and bollocked for being biased because I'm in SASP, this so called evil rival. BS

 

If I'm from the UK and I handle a situation involving another Brit? I'm being biased. (Yes, this happened. Dexter got called Biased for being American only yesterday. Come the fuck on.) BS.

 

This phrase is thrown around WAY too loosely from both admins and players alike, and it sickens me. Jesus christ even certain players are picking up that people used biased actions as an excuse, and, in most cases, it turns out that the investigating admin actually says "Yeah it is", even if it's the most minor of things such as what I have mentioned or even less.

 

If you have looked at both side, and judged them fairly as you can, you have done your job.

 

And if you feel you cannot judge a situation fairly from two viewpoints? Just try not to get involved, or if you do, ask our ADMIN TEAM for their input and help on the matter. Having two people check an issue instead of one person will increase the chances of noticing flaws or issues. If you don't want to fix that? Then here, a door for you to walk through. I left it partly open already for you.

We do have a punishment guidelines, though I believe as Courtez has posted on the other thread, it is just a guideline, it doesn't take in to thought every single little aspect of a situation. Not every situation of powergame is the same. Some are extremely complex compared to others. This is where your discretion and common sense comes in.

 

 

 

"Carries a 30 minute admin jail to a maximum of a perm ban depending on the severity of the insult. Use your judgement CAREFULLY and FAIRLY" <- The capitalized words are the key points to everything. And this links in to the biased point, too. You're not going to jail someone for 5 minutes for going around calling every single person a stupid motherfucking cunt, even after telling them to stop. You'd be looking at the higher end jail. But then, you're not going to perm ban someone for PMing you and calling you a retard after warning.

 

All it takes is common sense and maturity over the matter.

 

And as pointed in my post already. If you're unsure, or you don't know yourself fully. ASK. We aim to be a TEAM, so don't be afraid to ask questions. It's better you ask a question, rather than fuck it up and possibly receive and infraction, demotion, or removal over it.

 

More on the topic of people stepping toes; If what you as an admin are doing is blatantly wrong, and it's written somewhere, and that I know that you as an admin KNOW it is wrong, I will just reverse it. Lead+ have the power to do so, yes. But the better option, and as should happen in most cases from my view, is that before I or another lad just comes in and overrules your decision as an admin, is that we -DISCUSS IN A CIVIL WAY- the issue. Instead of me reversing your 2hr jail on someone calling you a retard, I'll talk to you first, actually point it out on the forums, and state "Actually that's -way- too harsh, here's why, and what I suggest instead;", and allow -YOU- to have the option and chance to change your mind. A K A, have a debate and discussion in a mature way about it.

 

 

 

 

Leaking is something that is stupid. If players were to know it, they'd have access to it. Of course there's the rare odd occasion where something minor is leaked, but in most cases that's nothing bad. Something like "Oh, yeah, that guys not been on for a week or so", is fine. The only thing that can be done on this is if you find a leaker, just post up your evidence to a lead+ to handle it. Or specifically Courtez/Ein as IA.
